I had the egg drop, one of the better ones I have had. It was not water and had a good consistency. I would return here for the food but might be more likely to do a pickup order if I was in the area. be sure to add the pot stickers to your order they were delicious!"

I had close to a 10 minute wait for my two meals, which were veggie fried rice and combo lo mein. My friend said the fried rice was very good, but my lo mein was lacking in flavor. Plus, I feel like the noodles were a little mushy. I might try this location again for something else, but I know there's a lot more Chinese restaurants to try before stopping here again."

The advantage to China Buffet is that besides a great selection of items and sauces, as a friend once said, "you don't have to pay extra for appetizers, etc"Sushi is usually out on the line, and I have always loved seaweed salad. Unlike some other grills where it's "how many ways can we present a chicken dish" They have a great selection including Mongolian beef and my ever favorite Chow mei fun. The China Buffet on Maple St is also good, but quality is always a constant at 114th and Dodge."

Turns out a green onion cookie is just a green onion pancake, it was greasy and not a lot of flavor. I always judge a Chinese restaurant by the general Tso chicken. I cannot say that I feel inspired to return. It was more or less sweet and sour chicken with Thai peppers in it and it still had no heat. However the rice was cooked to perfection. The woman who waited on me was very friendly and from the decor I saw remnants of the beer place it used to be. I think it still serves the craft beers. So that is kinda cool."

"I'm updating my review from last time based on their buffet. I usually opt for their Mongolian, but today I felt like ordering off the buffet. I arrived five minutes after opening and the two buffet tables were already fully loaded with all their foods. Everything looked great, but the sesame chicken was lukewarm, overcooked, super crunchy. The beef and broccoli was lukewarm. The crab rangoons were somewhat overcooked as well. I will say their teriyaki chicken tasted pretty good. I think I will stick with Mongolian from now on."

The only complaint was that the Rangoon had soft edges, but o prefer that. The whole meal cost 75, so they through in two 2L sodas of our choosing. This wall all take out food by the way. It's not really a place to sit and eat. We did see one other customer and I asked him if the food was good here. He said he drives all the way across town to get it. I agree with his assessment. It's worth the extra 10 minutes."

Decided to try this location and I am happy to say that everything went well here. The food (beef fried rice & steamed dumplings) was swiftly prepared and tasted very fresh & flavorful. They definitely don't skimp on the portions of rice either. There was so much rice in the box that it actually had a bit of weight to it when I took it out of the bag. We seem to be obsessed with trying green beans at every Chinese restaurant we dine at. Each one is slightly, or very, different! We're used to Mandarin Grill's but it's fun to try these at every place we go. Shrimp snow peas - I'm a sucker for snow peas and this dish had great flavor, plenty of shrimp, good sauce. Wings - meh. Nothing to write home about, would've been better with a sauce of some sort. Potstickers - good sauce, thick skin (some people like thin potsticker skins). I like both and these were just fine, not killer and not bad. Hot sauce is not spicy at all, bummer. Hot & Sour soup - better than some places. A good place for carry out in the Clive/Waukee area!"
