"*Take out Review* Wonderful! We called at 2:45pm on Friday after Thanksgiving, and they asked when we wanted to pick up, we said 10 minutes, and we got there in 8, and he was waiting for us by the door with food in bag already! They deliver out to your car like Target pick up, which is wonderful! There wasn't a ton of crab in the crab rangoons, but honestly didn't mind it. The sweet and sour sauce, definitely more sweet, which was not what I was expecting, but I really liked it. My husband said the egg roll was smaller than others but packed a punch of wonderful flavor. Food was still pipping hot after getting home, doing a couple things, and then finally remembering to eat it, haha! Portions were big, definitely have enough each for a second meal. $34 for everything. We just moved to Bellevue and already know this will be one of our top places. Follow them on FB for some funny posts!"
"My favorite Chinese restaurant! LOVE the wonton soup & the couple who own & work here! So kind & attentive!"

"It's nothing special, but not awful. Some of the entrees were pretty picked over, but the staff did appear to be working hard to keep things stocked. The variety of items is about what you'd expect, but they also have a grill and a variety of (not soft-serve) ice cream, which is nice. Prices were very reasonable."
"Fast service and very polite. Food was delicious and hot still when I got it home. I picked it up and the place was clean and friendly."
"I have eaten here a couple of times. They staff is fast and helpful. The egg drop soup was really really good. I also had the seasme chicken. Was really flavorful and well cooked. Meal came out really fast. Will definitely be going back for lunches"
"The whole family loves the food from this place. We had orange chicken, sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, Szechuan chicken, shrimp chow mein, vegetables fried rice, crab Rangoon and of course egg rolls. The only complaint was that the Rangoon had soft edges, but o prefer that. The whole meal cost 75, so they through in two 2L sodas of our choosing. This wall all take out food by the way. It's not really a place to sit and eat. We did see one other customer and I asked him if the food was good here. He said he drives all the way across town to get it. I agree with his assessment. It's worth the extra 10 minutes."
"I had to stop mid eating my lunch just to write this review. It has a low rating on Yelp and I think if you're anything like me you might have skipped over this place thinking it's bad. I've been pushing myself to try new places and so decided to try this out myself and WOW! This is some of the best Chinese food I have found in Omaha and in general and trust me I have had a lot of bad Chinese in my days. When I think of American Chinese food and how it should taste this is exactly how I picture it. I got the lunch specials which includes the entree of your choice, rice or lo mein with a upcharge and either crab Rangoon or an egg roll. An excellent value for lunch you get lots of food!My go to dishes are cashew chicken and Mongolian beef, I tried both and both were really good! I'm very thankful I have a really good cashew chicken option to choose from because most places never make it the way I like it and this place does!If you notice the negative reviews they were many years old like even up to 9 years and complaining about things like not having delivery drivers, obviously times are changed and I got this order quickly on DoorDash! Don't let the old reviews discourage you from trying! Delicious Chinese and I will definitely be back!"
"Took my family here during spring break. The food both sushi train and otherwise was phenomenal! The service was exceptional and quality of sushi was wonderful even though they weren't busy all of the items on the train were great. I would definitely come back for the awesome ambiance and food"
"Dragon Wok is a real gem! Every visit is a delight thanks to the friendly staff and great service. I ordered my usual favorites--shrimp lo mein and egg drop soup--and they were as delicious as ever. Even though the online order wait time is about 45 minutes, I'm always willing to wait because the food is just that good, and the prices are unbeatable. Highly recommended!"
"This Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem in Winterset! We are always impressed with the quality of food, the large variety on the menu, and the large portion sides. My chicken pad thai was easily two meals worth of food for me. There are several tables and booths available inside, and they do a lot of carryout business as well!"
"Located in a strip mall, they don't get much in person dining. But they seem to have a lot of carry out orders. You order at the counter and then sit down. Plastic utinsels and small napkins, but the meal is service in real plates. The food was fantastic. Served hot and fast. Almost too hot as two of us found out when we tried to take a bite quickly. I had the egg drop soup. It wasn't too salty and had a decent flavor. And it was cheap. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. See the photos. The tables were big so there's plenty of elbow room. There was a tv playing the Olympics while we were there. Plenty of ambient lighting. Next time I'll use the carry out option."
"What a delightful spot! Cool Basil boasts Thai, Chinese AND Japanese fare. There is something for everyone-- with a good many gluten-free and vegetarian options, as well.We popped in on a Sunday afternoon and were seated right away. The space is large with a ton of seating options-- you could definitely have a big group dine here, no problem. (They do NOT take reservations though, so plan accordingly.)The egg drop soup, sushi and crab rangoons were fan favorites. The day I came the special was the a crunchy pad thai-- I'd go with the traditional one, next time. (Word to the wise, be cognizant on the spice level! They do offer some very spicy options.)HOLY KIDS MENU. So, so many options -- all for about $8. Honey Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, Chicken Satay, Wings, Nuggets, Egg Noodles, Pad Thai and Fried Rice-- along with a drink and fruit. Wowza. My kids left full and happy.Pro Tip: Don't miss out on their lunch specials (M-F, 11-2:30PM). You can basically get a beef, chicken, pork, tofu or veggie dish for $10-12. What a steal!Overall, Cool Basil is a Clive must-have. Pop in any day of the week!"

Excellent service. Excellent food. The guy that greeted us went above and beyond, giving us some extra of the food we ordered for free. The to-go order was wrapped in cellophane to keep the juices in. We hadn't seen that before. Definitely deserves all the stars/rating that it has.

I'm shocked at the negative reviews about the food. I've always regarded the food as delicious, and I have had many different dishes here. The food is great, the owners are the sweetest older couple, and they're the only Chinese place for 30+ miles of Holdrege. I highly recommend giving them a try.

2 stars because I know of a person that likes it...that person it's me though. Pros: fast and hot food! Cons: every single meal tastes the exact same. Zero spice, zero flavor. The "fried rice" was actually offensive. It's just rice that's fried a little but that's not what fried rice is!. Bottom line: If you like Midwest Chinese, go here! If you like Authentic Chinese, steer clear. The waitress was very kind and we were well served.

The food and service here are good. I only had one entree but it was the best chinese food I've had in Omaha. Perfect lunch spot and I'm sure dinner is good as well. Great portions too. My only suggestion for the owner is to get a giant flashing florescent sign that says OPEN - CHINESE FOOD in the window so people can see it from far away. It looked closed from the outside and most people are too distracted to notice. Great spot

Good portion sizes. Delicious food. I love the mu shu veggies. They are so fast too. You can call on your way to the restaurant and it'll be ready for you by the time you arrive.

I recently dined at Yamato Sushi Train in Omaha and was excited to experience the unique conveyor belt sushi concept, where you pick your food as it rolls by. The ambiance was fun, and the variety of sushi offered was impressive. Each dish I tried was delicious and fresh, which made for an enjoyable meal. However, the service left something to be desired. Upon arrival, the server made an odd comment, suggesting we avoid using the digital menu because it was needed for a dinner group later on. This was a bit off-putting and didn't make us feel particularly welcomed. Additionally, the server only checked on us once during the entire meal, which left us feeling somewhat neglected.Overall, while the food at Yamato Sushi Train was excellent, the service experience could use some improvement. If the staff were more attentive and welcoming, it would elevate the dining experience to match the quality of the food.

"Very good Chinese for a great price! Was impressed with the portion sizes too. Super fresh take out option as well"
"We are driving from California to New York. We came upon Lincoln at dinner time, and we agreed it was a Chinese food night. Yelp had us go way out of our way to come here. We are so glad for this. The long detour is absolutely worth it. The service was top notch! Then the food came out - General Tso chicken. Oh my goodness! It was fantastic! The fire (tv) is warm and inviting, and everything is very clean! We got eating so fast I failed to capture the food, but the my word for it, you'll be happy here!"
"So for a tiny bare bones Chinese joint this isn't too bad. Simple menu. Friendly people. Fast and reliably tasty. The egg rolls are fresh and nothing is too greasy which I appreciate. I like the sweet and sour chicken. It has peppers and pineapple. Not everyone does it right like that. Beef fried rice is also tasty."
"Used to be better but, still a favorite! They recently switched to smaller portions and the price hasn't reflected this change. My husband and I used to get two meals and that would last us each two or three meals worth of food. Now, we both eat pretty much our entire entrée on the day we order. That being said, their food is delicious! Their peanut butter, chicken, sesame, chicken, and broccoli Beef are my favorite. I always get a side of crunchy noodles too!Two things to be aware of: 1. Order ahead. It can take up to an hour at peak times to get your food even if you call ahead2. Plan to generally take it to go. They have a small dining room and it can be more convenient to eat at home over in person."
"What a nice surprise. We came here years ago but now under new ownership. The inside has been remodeled and more inviting. The food also is higher quality. The food was fantastic. We came with friends and we ordered Greek salad and gyro plate. Everything was fresh. The gyro meat was moist and tender. The owner was so nice and checked on us often. I would highly recommend. We will be back."
"You'll want to order at least one egg roll. They are delicious, gigantic, and fried to perfection served steaming hot. This has been the case for perhaps 30 years, which seems a remarkably long time to reign as King of egg rolls. The King is located in the parking lot of a plaza - an infamous area due to the proximity of the now-razed Charlie Starkweather home. The meal special consists of your choice of entree, a side of sweet and sour pork, fried rice and an egg roll. Portions are generous, and if your dish comes with vegetables they will be plentiful and not overcooked. We tried a chicken and a shrimp dish, both were tasty and we noted the protein was cooked appropriately and not battered and fried, a pleasant surprise. But the egg rolls are the best part. If they only served egg rolls, they'd get at least 7 stars on a scale of 1-5. A warning: there is little to no ambience. If you are eating in, you might consider bringing your own fork, as the available plastic ones are quite flimsy."
"Yum! I always seem to get cravings for Chinese food or Pizza. Those are my go-to's. So I'm glad to have a little carry-out place like this nearby! They've got good food at reasonable prices. They also make it pretty quickly too. Small dining area which I haven't seen used yet but that could just be because of the last year. Other people seem to like coming here as well. I typically go for their peanut butter chicken, fried rice and crab Rangoon. For some reason their batter is thicker/different than most places and doesn't stay crispy for very long when you add sauce. Just for some reason isn't as satisfying as the food at my favorite place across town. Overall it's good though and I like being able to easily come here on occasion. :)"
"A convenient downtown location. Passed by several times and never went in. Kung Pao chicken and hot and sour soup delicious. A nice option for an American/Chinese palate. I would love to see Cantonese traditional noodle dishes ala King Fong style. Wonderful and courteous service."
"Thought I would try a new location for some Chinese food and opted for this restaurant. I was able to order within a minute of pulling up to the drive-thru. The lady was very friendly when she took my order and handed me a pager to park and wait for my order. I had close to a 10 minute wait for my two meals, which were veggie fried rice and combo lo mein. My friend said the fried rice was very good, but my lo mein was lacking in flavor. Plus, I feel like the noodles were a little mushy. I might try this location again for something else, but I know there's a lot more Chinese restaurants to try before stopping here again."
"I've eaten here once during my lunch break and go the L3 Roll Special for Lunch. It was great! So many of my coworkers commented on how good the food looked and smelled. I absolutely adore miso soup and seaweed salad for a special treat. I ordered upon arrival and it didn't take more than 10mins to get my food. I'm sure it would've been faster if I called ahead.I don't live in the area, but I do work here occasionally, so Tokyo is a fun treat. Hoping hubby will agree to me being on home some takeout tonight so I can once again enjoy the fresh and delicious options they have. This is truly a gem of a restaurant in this area of Nebraska. You should definitely try it sometime!I haven't eaten inside the restaurant, so I cannot speak to that side of the service, but if it's anything like their takeout, I'd imagine it's pretty stellar."
"My favorite place in Omaha for Chinese food! Great service and great food! And you have to have some Sake too!"
"Delicious! Finally found a great place with my favorite things close to me! Their peanut butter chicken is delicious. It tastes almost as wonderful as fried fair food. The fried rice is tasty and the egg rolls are delicious too. Crab Rangoon is something I always order and this is a good version as it is crunchy, savory and plenty of creamy filling. Their lunch special is very cheap just make sure they charge you for the right one. Nothing major to complain about as I didn't have any issues. Definitely will be back and would also recommend to others!"
"Yuki and the staff do an incredible job here! Service is always personable and friendly, along with excellently cooked dishes. I can't stop singing the praises of their Kung Pao Chicken (my fav in the country) and their Chicken with Mixed Vegetables. Stop by for the (consistently) best Chinese in town!"
"My wife and I needed a quick dinner solution and ordered takeout here because it's close by.Online ordering was smooth, and it was ready promptly. Everything was tasty, though not by any means outstanding relative to what you expect from Chinese takeout food. Generous portions are a plus; leftovers for lunch are always great to have. It's in a typical storefront spot in the strip mall near Millard South High, next to the UPS store, so probably not a destination meal spot for us, but it's now on the list when we're in the mood for Chinese food."
"This place was fantastic. It's very clean and the atmosphere was very nice. We ordered the Mongolian Beef and the Hunan Beef and they were both delicious. Service was fast. Great family restaurant."
"The food is great and well presented. You can tell that an effort was involved in the preparation of the meal. The service was slow, but guessing that was due to every business's current issue; finding help. A great place to eat dinner even if you're not a sushi fan."
"Probably the cleanest and best buffet in town. Prices are competitive and the food itself is very good. Service is the only thing keeping this place from five stars. Your hostesses seat you, get you your drink, and good luck if you see them after that. Still, everyone is still courteous and this is a small complaint."
"Very nice people working here. They were all happy to see me and answered all my questions about their menu items. It's Chinese food, so your don't expect a lot of surprise. However, the owner explained what was in a dish, with a ton of detail. I appreciated that. Try the rangoon, and the noodles. One "regular" entre, a soup, 2 egg rolls, and an order of rangoon was _plenty_ for my wife and me, for $20, before tip."
"While distancing, we've been trying new places. I'm an Egg Foo Young fan, and it can be hard to find in general. Then, it can be hard to find it made well. I ordered it twice in the past week, w the shrimp option. The shrimp are HUGE and I loved the texture and flavor of the EFY each time. So happy I have a go-to option now.My husband order the YumYum Chicken which he thought was ok, but he really loved the General Tso - he'll be ordering that again soon! Each time we also thought the Crab Rangoons were very week made. We'll be back!"
"My new favorite Chinese take-out! The have the BEST hot-and-sour soup in town, no question. Their crab Rangoon are the smaller, triangle ones, but cooked perfectly every time. Their entrees are very generous in portion, and always very fresh, with high quality ingredients. You never get a taste of overly syrupy sauces or skimping on the key ingredients. The quality is consistently high. They do have a sit down area, which is small but never cramped feeling. We occasionally eat in, but usually take-out."
"Great place. Very tasty and affordable. Lunch special less than $7. It includes a main dish, choice of soup, choice Egg Roll or Crab Rangoon, and hot tea. Great deal and very tasty! We had the chicken Lo mein and Garlic Chicken for main dishes. Both were excellent."
"This is a hot little joint for sure. They probably are the most friendly people for a fast food place. Menu is pretty simple and honestly was a bit hesitant and to my dismay. I have to say, I will go again as you can see by the pictures. They do a great job and presentation. The Mongolian beef was good was hoping for a bit more of the entree. Yum Yum chicken which I've never had before could be a new favorite. I'm never one to try chicken wings at a Chinese restaurant but they were ok."
"We had lunch here today and had no idea how popular it was! We were greeted warmly and had so many items to choose from we decided on all our favorites. We had delicious wonton soup with wontons, noodles and chopped veggies. At first, I thought the broth was salty, but realized it had a touch of spiciness go in on. I ordered the egg rolls and chicken chowmein that were both tasty. My husband had the Kung pow shrimp he enjoyed and I, their hot tea.Everything was served hot. The service could not have been better.Just a side, the hot tea came in a styrofoam cup while the rest of the dishes were plates and plastic cups. Also they only take cash or check, but have an ATM available for use.Takeaway? 1. We were delighted to be able to get all we could ever eat for just over $20!2. We were thrilled at the business they're bringing in. And3. They were right under our noses in Terra Plaza.Another great Papillion find to share with friends and family!"
