"I don't know if it's just the nostalgia of this place for me, but I absolutely love Honest Abe's Burgers and Freedom. While it has been several years since I've been in the area, I had to get what I usually have when I come - The 1809. The pickled apples pairs so well with the smoked Gouda, the smoky mayo, and the bacon. They are always on top with their service - super fast and friendly. And let's be honest, I love the homage they pay to our 16th President with the pictures and quotes he said and may or may not have said. If you're in the area of Lincoln, Omaha, Nebraska City, or wherever, check Honest Abe's out."

Ok let's start with the review. lol Place is very clean love the atmosphere the vibe was good . We sat down . Waiter was awesome ! The wait was a bit long which it was understandable due to being VDay for our food Drinks kept on coming our waiter was awesome . We ordered a app which was some cheese curds they were amazing! The ranch though was one of the best! Then we got our burgers which were so freaking amazing !Everything all around was amazing I think we found our burger place here in Omaha, by the way we just moved here from Arizona! "The wings was so delicious, I only dipped maybe 3-4 in the ranch sauce and that was it. I felt the ranch was robbing the wings of their unbelievable flavor. The nachos...I was extremely disappointed. I paid however much I paid for the nachos and was disappointed in the end. My disappointment was that I couldn't finish them!! I read a review that said if you order the nachos, don't order anything else. But I'm a big boy so I ordered wings to go with my nachos and yeah, I barely finished half. It's an extremely generous serving and was delicious. I forgot to mention I didn't want sour cream but thankfully the staff didn't put the sour cream on my nachos, it was served on the side in a little cup. I really appreciated that. They did have a bar you could go sit at, looks like a really nice place. I definitely look forward to stopping by again next time I'm in town. One last thing, I'm very big on leaving tips to those who work in restaurants. In a society that suddenly has become "tip hungry", it's those in the restaurant industry who are affected the most. A guy helps an old lady cross the street then ask her if she'll like to give him a tip. It's ridiculous. But it's those in food service who don't ask for a tip, despite that being more than 50% of their pay. I ordered my food online and intentionally didn't leave a tip because I was planning on giving a cash tip when I picked my food up. I went into the restaurant to pickup my food and forgot about the cash in my pocket. I returned to the truck stop and drove away. 200 miles later, I realized what I did and felt horrible. To the staff who prepared me an absolute amazing meal, I sincerely apologize for forgetting to leave that cash tip."

"Found out about this place from a friend recently after years of living in the area. Some of the best breakfast food we've ever had here in Omaha. Still have yet to try a burger (was going to try one for dinner only to see they are only a brunch place and close at 3 all week), but all the breakfast dishes have been phenomenal. The green chili in particular is something special not seen in other Midwestern joints east of Colorado. I like to smother everything with it.The ambiance is a diner classic--we only have a few of these left in the US, so we need to keep them alive. The service is great, they keep a keen eye on your coffee, filling it up very frequently.Truly a great restaurant. The only downside are it's hours, but beggars can't be choosers."

"Modest Downtown eatery in Lincoln serving a variety of standard and rotating specialty hamburgers. All ingredients were fresh and flavorful, the meat was cooked perfectly, the bun was substantial and lightly toasted, the sauce was tasty without being overpowering. Fries were crispy and seasoned. Where I live people go nuts over In-N-Out Burger -- Abe's is a next level dining experience. The order counter is downstairs and the waitstaff brings your order upstairs to the seating area where they have a soft drink fountain so you can refill your drink. The vibe is hip and cool, with Warhol inspired portraits of 16 on the walls. The music suits my alt-indie tastes. I just wish I had bought the hat. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be available for online purchase. Treat yourself; this is a great choice if you want a hamburger and maybe a hat."

I would also recommend the garlic teriyaki for the wings over the chipotle honey. Our food came out in a decent manner, however our waitress would forget about our drinks/condiments when asked, but it was probably because of how busy the place was. We live close by so it's nice to have a good option to rely on. We've taken family members, met friends or even just had a date night here. Although most people probably come for their pizza I love their burgers. In particular, the Timber Creek Bourbon Burger. I've had this specific burger more times than not and it has never disappointed. I'm a huge fan of bbq burgers in general and this one with the pulled pork, tangy bbq sauce and smoky bacon is always satisfying. Paired with well seasoned tots and ranch... I'm always pleased. You order at the counter, find your table, then your meal is delivered to your table. We wanted a soup salad or soup half sandwich type lunch. They didn't have that on the menu, instead we ordered a full club sandwich with a cup of soup on the side plus an extra cup of soup, Wah-lah soup and half a sandwich for two. Sandwich was good. Lots of turkey, crispy bacon, fresh veggies. Soup was good as well, curly egg noodles and chicken. Refillable fountain soda as well so we got one for the road. Loved the old time coolers, ovens, toys, etc that they had all around. Fun retro-vibe spot."

Without hesitation he replied with Goldbergs in Dundee. Later on I spoke to another Nebraskan who said she used to stop here every time they drove in from Norfolk. It was a must. It is without a doubt a classic burger joint, not wowing anyone with its ambience. In fact, I saw a spider in the bathroom but felt it added to the vibe. Burgers were delicious and reasonably priced. The waitress was kind and took the time to help us get our young kids situated. For a non trendy, but classic Omaha spot, try Goldbergs in Dundee."

You could tell that the gentlemen sitting at the counter with the coffee and the newspaper were regulars and I bet I could find them there most Saturday mornings. Alas, we were tourists just passing through here for breakfast which would include a hot dog (naturally). I sheepishly asked our server if their hot dogs were available that early. Laughingly, she assured me they were. We ordered fried eggs, toast, bacon and I got a hot dog with chili and mustard. I watched as the hot dog was quickly thrown together, all of the ingredients in the front of the shop and ready to serve. The hot dog was good. Very soft bun with tasty flavor with a depth of flavor that I really liked. I enjoyed the rest of breakfast too. Eggs cooked just right. Bacon had a soft chew that I actually like but I think others might want it a big crispier. Service was great especially on a busy morning as they were getting ready for their annual hot dog eating contest a few hours after we visited."

The burger is packed with flavor and good stuff. I ate every last bite, licked my fingers, and was full but didn't feel awful. So that's rad.3. The toppings on the burger were perfection. 4. The rice has lots of textural and flavor elements - and it worked! But it was a tad sweet for me and I think I'd go with that beautiful side salad next time instead."

"Looove this new addition to Fremont, NE! Black Label is located owned and operated and while we were there we spoke with the owners daughter. Everyone was super friendly and the food was super tasty. Inside is clean and has tons of seating. Menu consists of unique burgers, wood fire pizzas, other sandwiches, starters and amazing looking shakes. Oh and they have a full bar too! We ordered 2 Black Label Burgers $10.95 which had shoulder bacon, smoked cheddar, whiskey glaze, garlic aioli, caramelized onions, mushrooms on a house roll. The meat was delicious, with the crispy bits on the patty and well seasoned. Bun was super soft and all the toppings paired well with it. Next time we would go with a double patty $1.25 extra, since we didn't read the menu well enough that the patties were smashed, which we love, but we prefer a meatier taste. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries $4.45 with the marshmallow maple drizzle on the side. We ended up loving the marshmallow glaze! Also ordered a side of the homemade spicy ranch and it was tasty as well. Can't wait to go back and try their shakes next time were in Nebraska."

"I probably don't come here often enough for as close as it is to my workplace. That said I got the Southwest Chicken salad today. The line for the drive thru was long (almost out onto Farnam Street!) so I just ran inside and placed my order to go at the counter. I see now that like many restaurants these days, one can order online in advance and then swoop in to pick it up. I think I'll do that next time. The staff was quick and friendly and also generous with the condiments like salsa and chipotle ranch. For $7.99 I had a good lunch that was healthy and filling. I didn't get one today but they have really good cookies, too!"
