"I was in town for business but needed a little break so I grabbed some coffee and stopped into The Second Closet. This consignment boutique is in a quaint, older building and you can tell the owner takes pride in what clothes she accepts and how she displays them. I was there during their busy 4th of July weekend and the owner, even though she was busy changing out the displays to match the season, took a few minutes to help me, acquaint herself and even get to know me a little bit. What I liked MOST about this business is that is has a large selection of gently used plus size clothing. And, they are easy to find right by the front door. As a plus size gal I tend to find small, hidden sections of the clothes I need, but nope, The Second Closet celebrates our curves proudly. There were quite a few things I wanted and tried on but some of the prices held me back. They are a bit high for second hand but again, these are high quality pieces from reputable companies. I did take home a very nice, classic piece though. The service was spot on, the dressing rooms are roomy, they have women's clothes, men's, children's, some home goods and jewelry and clearance downstairs. I'll be back!"
"Friendly and understanding staff. Listened to what my daughter wanted and helped her find the dress that made her feel like a bride. They took the time to not only tell her how the dress could be altered to her liking, they used extra lace and pinned things so that she could see her bridal vision. Surprisingly, she got this dream dress within her budget."
"This was one of the first places I went to look at wedding gowns and I still have some of the pictures of me in those first wedding dresses I ever tried on. I came on impulse by myself as I didn't have any family in the Omaha area and was ready to start getting an idea of what the theme of the wedding was going to be. The woman that met and assisted me trying on gowns was so incredibly nice. She helped me in and out of the gowns, took numerous pictures and videos so I could share them with my family and friends and ensured I had everything I needed. I tried on several gowns that I really liked and they were all reasonably priced. I still didn't know what style I was even looking for. It wasn't until I moved and we settled into our new home in a different state and began putting the wedding details together, that I was able to decide on what type of gown I wanted. My experience at this shop though was great and I really appreciated their personalized attention and their lovely gown selection."
"Porridge Papers has the most amazing recycled handmade papers! Christopher makes seeded paper (an awesome idea for wedding favors), and can create paper in any color (really awesome if you want to match bridesmaid dresses for your wedding!). He also has a great selection of letterpressed wedding invitations at pretty good prices. Oh, and he's a cool guy too! :)"
"I got married in Omaha. But I live in DC. During travel, my dress got wrinkled. I needed it steamed the day of my wedding. The hotel had no way to steam it. I called David's Bridal and they did not think they could steam it. I called Modest Bride. They took the dress. Made it look amazing and brand new. They were so nice and awesome. I will never forget how they saved me on my wedding day. Thank you Modest Bride."
"When I was looking for my wedding dress I stopped by here with my future mother in law. We were having a fun girls day out looking at dresses and since she has only boys, it was also her chance to grab every pretty pretty princess dress she could find and have me try it on, whether I would ever consider actually buying it or not. As I played wedding barbie for her, the sales attendant was phenomenal grabbing more and more dress options as my mother in law determined I need more lace, longer train, and the most dramatic veils they had to complete the look. I truly appreciated the friendly easy going nature of the lady helping us and how she managed to pull dresses to fit both the taste of my mother in law as well as my own. There were actually a couple of dresses that I loved, and while I didn't end up making my purchase here I think it had much more to do with timing than anything else. Their shop is lovely with a beautiful pedestal and mirrors for getting a view of the full look, their dress selection was excellent, and as mentioned they have fantastic sales associates. Definitely a solid place to find your perfect gown for your perfect day."
"I didn't go inside. I drove to the address and that was enough for me. It's a really old house that's been chopped up into apartments. The front of the apartment is more overgrown than this google map link shows. I'm looking for someone more professional. No thanks. https://maps.app.goo.gl/E3NZxfVh5Hk5NWjc6"
"SUPER cute place in Little Bohemia. The owner, Rachel, is super sweet and attentive. We had a bridal shower here, and we absolutely loved it. The interior is super cute--no extra decorations needed. I love the big mirror and comfy chairs. Perfect for any shower! The bride ordered her top from here. I loved it!"
"Ready or Knot is a local bridal boutique in Rockbrook Village specializing in wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and wedding accessories. It's polished and upscale looking on the inside, full of natural light and decor to make it airly, whimsical and romantic. It doesn't hurt that the racks of dresses make for a very beautiful backdrop. Making an appointment here was easy, through email or phone. They were very quick to reply to my emails, with it being within a day to schedule an appointment, and a max of 2 days for a more in depth question I had. I appreciated the email "interview" Jocelyn conducted before my appointment, and they already knew my tastes and preferences before I stepped in the door. The hour long appointment with Monica was great, and she was very good at clipping the sample dresses to fit my petite frame, and had already pre-chosen 6 dresses for me to try based on the information I had given beforehand. In the end, this was the shop I ended up purchasing my dress through, and I am thrilled. I thought the process was really easy with no fuss, and they had exactly what I was looking for. They don't off same day purchase discounts like other shops I visited with, and weren't able to negotiate with pricing for my brand, which was slightly disappointing. The dresses here certainly have a certain style and vibe, and I noticed that almost all the bridal shops in Omaha have their own curation of designers which gives them all a unique feel. Style wise, I feel like Ready or Knot is very close to Rhylan Lang in style. Price point, they run $1200 and up for most gowns. Occasionally they will have sample sales and announce on their social media. I like that my dress cannot be found elsewhere in Omaha, making it a unique purchase. Overall, really happy with everything."
"My son decided last minute that he wanted to attend prom this weekend. Every other tux place we called were out of most suits, or wanted to charge a crazy "rush" fee, or their tux rentals started at $240!! When I called Mr.Tux, the owner was so kind and accommodating. He told us to come on in and he will fix us up... which is exactly what he did! My son got the exact tux he wanted for under $190.. AND we didn't have to have it back until Monday (all other places where by the next day)! Friendly, accommodating service priced right!! We will definitely be going back there for future events! Support local!"

Could not have had a better experience. Friendly staff and great tailoring! They had my dress ready way before the wedding and were always happy to have you in for a fitting or just if you would go to see your dress.

I've been working with Samantha and Christopher at Porridge Papers for the last two years. I run a custom letterpress printing business in Eugene, Oregon and Porridge makes the best custom, handmade paper I've ever had the pleasure of printing on. Seeded or unseeded, and in a wide variety of colors (ie. they will make any color you want), their stock is just about as good as it gets. They're even up for crazy stuff like scented paper and paper with glitter in it, if that's what suits your fancy! We've used Porridge Paper for wedding invitations, save-the-dates, birth announcements, business cards and stationery, you name it. It's great for everything! Everyone I've ever dealt with at Porridge is awesome, incredibly helpful, and they really know their stuff. If you're searching for custom, handmade paper, look no further than Porridge.

They were great! This was the first place I tried on dresses and had an amazing experience. The ladies answered my questions and gave advice on how dresses could be altered to fit more of my style. Although I did not buy my dress here, I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a modestly cut dress, as well as modest prices.

I came here with a friend and her bridal party, and was very impressed with this place! I have never gone dress shopping, and this place had a very impressive selection and treated us very well. The best part was the experience, and the customer service. Our girl, I believe her name was Sierra, did an excellent job helping us! She was very attentive, and helped us to 2 1/2 hour appointment with Grace. Our bride tried on 15 to 20 dresses out of the hundred plus they had on the racks. Everything was large enough to easily try, but small enough to clip and tighten so that you could see what it would look like after alterations. The variety was excellent, and our girl did a great job, pointing us in the direction of dresses that matched the brides taste. What seems to set this place apart is the large private room for the bride to get dressed with the attendant, which is incredibly helpful! This made it so quick to transition between dresses. Then the bride comes out onto a platform for her viewing party to see each gown, while there is a very large mirror, she can also look at. The attendant was incredibly helpful in moving the dress as the bride moved front to back for us. This viewing experience was perfect, and it helped that the store was not busy so there was no one using the platform with us (typically there is one platform for two rides, and wedding parties can sit on either side of the platform, so the brides take turns). This place also has a small selection of men's suits, and bridesmaids dresses. It is very all inclusive! The space is just perfect, plenty of room for a whole bridal party to walk around the store with the bride, select dresses, put them on a moving rack that goes into the room, and , hang out for several hours during the try on process. They have cups of water and restroom, which was also much appreciated.Overall, this experience was amazing, it is definitely pricier, there addresses range from 1800 to 2300 typically. But you get what you pay for! The experience in itself was so great to start off the wedding planning process. I highly recommend this dress in Omaha!

I had a really hard time settling on a wedding look. I looked so many places and couldn't find "the one" that I loved. I came to Noa for one of those trips, and ended up falling IN LOVE with a Daughters of Simone veil. The minute I tried it on, I knew it was the one! I then planned the rest of my bridal look on the veil. When I came here to look, Elda was welcoming, inviting, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They take appointments only, but have some walk in days. I booked an appointment to have a more individualized experience. When we walked in, she offered us some bubbly to start the bridal dress journey, and we were then led to gorgeous pink velvet couches, satin and lace dresses, sparkling accessories, and veil choices of all kinds. I couldn't have asked for a better shopping experience, Elda was attentive, friendly, and the experience was something I'll remember fondly forever.

"Came in here with my sister-in-law to get a ring box since they didn't give her one and to get her rings cleaned. They cleaned mine for free as well, and I didn't buy my rings here. They had an ice seating area with a coffee nook. They had a lot of beautiful pieces for what I thought as a reasonable prices. Although I was annoyed the man was trying to get me to melt my rings together. I don't want to do that or I would."
"This was our first shop for my neice in dress shopping. Everyone was very nice. The dresses are nice. Price range affordable. Good quality material. Would recommend that they get more variety of sizes They had a lot of bigger sizes but my neice was a size 6-7, and most dresses she tried on had to be pinned which did make it harder to get a realistic idea of what the dress would look and feel like on her. But overall very good shop!"
"Mike enthusiastically accepted my small print job for two coil bound logbooks and had them ready when he said they'd be ready, and the quality was outstanding. I had asked for a set of nice paper covers and a quality feel inside so it felt nice and not cheap, since I'll be presenting these in job interviews. He knew exactly what to do, and they are perfect! The price beat the big box shops, and it felt great to support this local business."
"Black Tie White Satin made my wedding dress shopping a WONDERFUL experience. We are having an Old Hollywood themed wedding; so I was looking for a particular style of dress, and was not finding it in Omaha. My sister suggested Black Tie White Satin, and I figured it was worth checking out. It was the best decision I could have made regarding my Big Day. I walked in, and right away was welcomed. I told the sales rep what I was looking for, and we were off running around the store grabbing dresses off the racks for me to try on. Of course I found THE dress, and was incredibly pleased to know that the prices are extremely reasonable. The service from here on out was impeccable. They are not pushing a sale in any way. The dress was ordered and arrived within the time the girls at the shop said it would. My fittings were easy and stress free, and the alterations were perfect. Since my family lives out in CA, and were not able to be there when I tried on my dress or any of the fittings, the employees were more than accommodating in allowing me to take pictures of the dress. I will definitely recommend this shop to all brides. I truly appreciate all that they did for me and I can't wait to rock my gorgeous dress at our wedding!"
"Best experience renting a tux ever!!!! They always were super friendly and on top of everything. Super easy to work with in selection!!!! The guys looked amazing for my winter wedding last year. They were also very accommodating when one of the groomsmen all of a sudden didn't show of getting our usher a new vest to match the groomsmen. Overall love the amazing ladies who work here!!! Would recommend again and again!!!! Also prices are really reasonable!!! They offer great discounts too!!!"
"This place was amazing we got our appointment on time on a day we could get it to it the owner was so helpful she made my daughter feel very comfortable my daughter was able to get a swim bra which is amazing and just a couple of everyday bra which is great the price is comparable to Dillard's or Younkers but I will never go back there again she is amazing. My daughter found a bra that fit her properly properly most places needed to be tailored just a bit and she was able to do that in store while we waited that was amazing"
"After going to two other places, this was BY-FAR the best experience for wedding dress shopping - take it from a girl who REALLY doesn't like this kind of thing! The ladies at Nebraska Bridal were well informed, supremely helpful, and very amicable. They listened to my fears, and found dresses in my price budget (many under $1,000). They also had an impressive selection of dresses for a small town boutique. If you want a caring, stress-free shopping environment - go here!"
"Absolutely an amazing wedding dress experience. They got me in earlier than I was scheduled, they listened to my exact preferences, and didn't waste any time getting me into the PERFECT wedding dress. I actually had already bought a dress and when I came here every option blew the other dress out of the water. They went out of their way making sure that the colors I picked for the bridesmaids would work well with the dress, and genuinely cared about every detail. I couldn't have had a more amazing experience."
"I called and was asked to schedule an appointment to view the dresses. I was able to schedule a time for a few days later. It is a small shop in downtown Bellevue and easy to find. Upon arriving, the designer was finishing up with another customer so I browsed. There isn't a ton of variety in comparison to other places, but as mentioned, it is a smaller shop. The designer asked me a lot of questions to determine what I was looking for and after we finished discussing, it sounded like she probably didn't have what I was really wanting. She said if I wanted something custom made I could call her.I really appreciate the years of experience she has, and that she designs her dresses at such a reasonable price. It seems that many other brides have been able to get their perfect dress from her with a very minimal budget. For me, it just wasn't the right fit. I was looking for different styles and although I thought the designer was very knowledgeable, I'm a very shy bride and found her demeanor a bit abrasive for me to work with. My biggest concern was also that the shop smelled like someone had been smoking and I wondered if that effects the clothing. No mention of it in other reviews so perhaps not.In all, very experienced and to the point local designer who can work within a tight budget. Worth checking out and seeing if one of her custom dresses is perfect for you!"
"I came here with my friend to watch her try on dresses. It was a fantastic experience. From start to finish her attendant was amazing at helping pick out dresses, explain the alterations and adds available for her. It also moved very quickly, I think we tried on 10+ dresses in one hour. The space is bright and modern. All the dresses on display are beautiful. I would definitely recommend stopping here on the journey to finding the dress."
"I had an amazing experience with Emmy and the Blush Bridal team! I live in Denver but my family is in Nebraska so I went to Lincoln so my mom (and crew of cousins/grandmothers/siblings) could enjoy the dress shopping experience with me. We made an appointment with Emmy and I'm so glad I had her expertise on my side. Details are not my strong point so it was very helpful to have Emmy point out all the details on each dress I tried on. She listened to me explain my idea of a dream wedding and helped pick out the perfect dress. When I put it on I instantly started to cry! Emmy and the staff are very flexible and I really appreciate it. Since I had to fly in from Denver they were very accommodating and worked with my schedule. Emmy even called up places in Denver to help find a place to get my dress altered. Thank you so much Blush Bridal! I'll update soon with pictures :)"
"If you want to feel like a Queen, stop into the store on a day where Joe is working and immediately become royalty. Joe has great taste on clothing and will definitely entertain! He was funny and honest. You can find attire for prom, pageant, formals, galas and cocktail! He has great recommendations on style, fit and especially color. He put me in a color I would never imagine liking and it ended up being the dress I picked. Tips: Joe also does makeup and lessons, the jewelry would be considered statement pieces. Show up with the right undergarments for trying on dresses (heels, bra, etc)"
"I dropped in here to check out wedding dresses and received an incredibly warm welcome. The store itself is very elegant with huge windows allowing for plenty of natural lighting in the front room. Beautiful mirrors hanging on the walls to allow you to catch a glimpse of the dress as you move. The private rooms with the pedestals are spacious and appropriately lit and they had many gorgeous dresses of excellent quality. An associate named Allison greeted me and immediately gave me her undivided attention. We picked out dresses and she patiently pinned me in them, frequently I had to revisit a previous dress and she was a great sport. The owner was also there and incredibly positive and kind. My mother in law came to visit the following week and wanted to see the dresses I was considering. Allison again met us and pinned me in tons of dresses over and over again. I loved how intimate the feel of the boutique is and the personalized attention I received. I'm still trying to decide on the right dress, but thus far my buying experience has been amazing here! They even followed up with me with a personalized card! If you're dress shopping in Lincoln and Omaha don't miss this place!!"
"Highly recommend Will for all your tailoring needs! Before my engagement, I frequently stopped by here to have pants hemmed and work dresses taken in. Though he always joked that I forget he runs a bridal store, he was always happy to help! Will is careful with his work and quotes reasonable prices. Since my engagement, he has helped with my engagement photoshoot dress and wedding dress. The engagement photo shoot dress was pleated and had so much material. He shortened both the hem and the straps on my dress, and it's now a perfect fit. I brought in my used wedding dress last weekend and he was able to help figure out where the previous bride bustled her dress. I asked him to help me create a bustle that doesn't look like a tail. He spent quite a bit of time pinning the five layers of the dress to shape a bustle I was satisfied with. He found some minor tears at the ends of the dress and will be removing the areas. He also suggested reinforcing the zipper so the buttons line up better. I feel so comfortable visiting Will and encourage all to support his business!"
