"A wonderful little independent bookshop in downtown Seward. A pleasant surprise that I was not expecting. Lots of interesting books and games that you would not find elsewhere. Very helpful owners/staff."
"I absolutely love the Creighton bookstore! So many cool things to show your Bluejay pride!"
"During my downtime between school, work and family... I love to read a good book... Iove urban books. and they are so hard to come across. Back in the day-- this was my go-to when I wanted to read these books as many libraries and book stores don't carry these books. The prices are high - in my opinion. Now days, I prefer to go to Amazon and get a used book or a discounted book. But this is nice to find local authors or books that are less known... and something is to be said about the fun of actually going through the books and reading a few pages to get a feel for the book.Plus it is nice to support local business orders!!"
"Came here as a kid, stopped in for a crucifix keychain, understand they didn't have. Asked for a ring rosary it hurt my heart. Selection was really disheartening"
"Kanseville Kollectables is an awesome place to find that rare vinyl album that you've been looking for for years. If it hasn't already been bought by some one else, that is. When you walk in, it kind of looks like a mess with records and other things stren about, and it kind of smells like an old house, but their are method's in the owner's madness.I like to go in there every now and then to see what I can find. About 8 years ago, I was on a mission to get all the original Led Zeppelin vinyl albums in my possession. The most coincidental case in my life was when I walked into Kanesville Kollectables one day and asked for them, the owner said, 'Well actually, we just bought an estate sale and the person had most of them. We are actually going through them right now. Want to take a look?'. I jumped for joy, and low and behold, this estate basically had all of them except for one. I purchased them at awesome prices, (because they aren't necessarily rare, but hard to find), and left my name and number if they happen to come across the other one I was missing.About 8 months later, my parents got a call from the guy at Kanesville, and he told them that he got in Led Zeppelin's 'I' album. (I was away at college). So my parents went there and purchased it for me to complete my collection. That is great customer service.I don't go in there too often, but when I do, I always seem to find something that trips my trigger; whether its a rare comic book, movie, or music."
"This is a charming little shop in the historic Flatiron building.Lots of toys here for creative play. Nature-themed and wooden toys and puzzles are immediately noticeable. There are also a lot of sensory toys, costumes, and books. Staff there were really nice. Be sure to sign up for their rewards program, it's generous.I definitely will be returning here if I need to buy any toys. It's calm and relaxing, no battery-operated toys that I could see or hear.I bought an adorable container of dough with capybara figures in it. My daughter's boyfriend loves capybaras and he was absolutely delighted with it. I bought it as a gift for his 21st birthday."
"I stopped in and the woman working there was very distinct in her unloving attitude and approach. In comparison to other staff I have met at other AbC Book stores in the U.S. I was very disappointed by this experience"
"Great staff and great store! The lady and I had a great conversation about You've Got Mail and she's very knowledgeable about local authors."
"Great collection of books. Very organized and neat. I was very happy with the selection of books I purchased."
"For serious reals, I legit MISS this place. I was in town for a conference, and needed a cool place to work. This cafe is awesome. It has everything mobile coffee shop workers of the world need -- free wifi, great natural light, excellent tea/coffee, snacks, and a whole bunch of books! I absolutely loved the feminist/queer flare of the place, and if I lived locally, I'd probably be there every day! If you live nearby and haven't checked this place out, you totally should do yourself a favor and get your butt over there RIGHT NOW."

Very cute and sweet bookstore that offers a large variety of books. There are also lots of cool gifts from tea to fun journals. There is also a really great children's area in the back. The lady who was running the store the day we went in was super friendly and accommodating. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often.

It's a typical college book store. I visit once a year since the wife goes to school there. Prices seem normal for a book store. I'm sure you can find cheaper books on amazon and cheaper clothes at one of the local sporting good stores or on amazon. But they have the one stuffed bear my daughter loves, so we go get a new one every year as a replacement. It's in the heifer business building so it might be hard to find for tourists or visitors. There is parking near by and the softball field. You get to walk through part of campus and it is beautiful.

I was traveling through Lincoln, Nebraska, when I realized my scapular was missing! I did a quick online search and found this store. It didn't disappoint. It was amazing! All the sacramentals and at very reasonable prices! They have a lovely devotion to the Divine Mercy, and the shop is watched over by none other than Pope Francis and Benedict XVI. The perfect ending was as I was walking out two Priests pulled up and I was even able to get my new scapulars blessed.Thank you and Gloria Deo!

This is a collector's paradise. The person I talked to behind the counter was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The other reviews say it all so I don't have to, but I would like to add that if you're thinking about spending any amount of time in basement I would highly recommend wearing an N95 mask at the very least as it smells very moldy down there. The only other negatives are that the used audio equipment I saw was pretty cheesy and manoeuvring around all the piles of stuff can be difficult for an able-bodied person and completely impossible for anyone else.

You MUST checkout this adorable toy store downtown Omaha on 18th and Howard. An abundance of hand crafted toys and sensory toys to choose from, you won't be disappointed. It's a bigger store than I thought and beautifully laid out to experience what some of the toys have to offer. Yes - they let you play with someone the toys! They had stuffed animals, books and some clothing, too. Adorable shop if you're looking for something cozy, original and cute!

Leslie, the owner is great. I was looking to purchase a gift for my girlfriend. I called in and was able to purchase something for my girlfriend to pick up in store because I unfortunately won't be with her on her birthday. Leslie took payment, over the phone, promptly emailed a receipt and put a bow on the gift. Superb experience.

"The Book Nook just opened a few months ago in the heart of Aksarben Village right next to Godfather's Pizza (the other 2 locations are in Benson and Papillion). Ample parking all around. It's been on my radar for a while and I finally made a visit today. It's small but spacious and houses not only books, but DVDs, games, jigsaw puzzles, action figures, and other miscellaneous items like t-shirts. The shop was super clean and well organized, everything looked like it was in excellent gently-used or new condition. They are open 7 days per week. The staff member working today was very nice and helpful in answering my questions. So glad to see a new local business like this in my area. I have a feeling I will be a frequent visitor!"
"I wasn't expecting a bookstore as I wandered the high streets of downtown Lincoln searching for lunch but I landed in one anyway. And a very fine bookstore this is. Tightly packed stacks of paperbacks (and a few hardcovers) with nary room to put your arms out. Which I found perfectly wonderful.Very much wanting to support this sort of business, I did not have much trouble at all picking up a like-new copy of a Heinlein I already own with the intention of replacing my well worn with this one. And another Lee Child / Jack Reacher that I don't remember reading before.Cheap for the two at under $10 and so I left with my purchase knowing I was shopping local.[Review 11391 overall, 1168 of 2019.]"
"This is a newer shop right at the "entrance" to the Benson strip, and it's fantastic! The shop has so many cool things, as well as odd, vintage, collectible, and artsy fare (a giant glass Ring Pop? Yes please.)There are vintage clothes, cool posters, sports memorabilia, and nostalgic toys. There's even a little area where a vintage style TV is playing old movies. My favorite part of the store was that there was a SHOP KITTY! She was so adorable and I'm guessing sweet (she slept and purred the entire time we were there, so she's at least chill with strangers anyway).Every corner and end of this shop is packed to the gills with neat things, so you'll for sure find at least one thing you have to have. We definitely did (an interactive Iron Man helmet LOL).Before you head into the center of Benson, definitely make a stop at this shop to check out their awesome wares!"
"I ventured into this store on my way out of Salt Creek Merchantile just to check it out. Inside, you will find a little coffee counter, books, and writing utensil. This store has everything you need to do calligraphy, writing letters, and books to read. They probably have the best selection of pens and erasers you can find, probably in the whole state! The owners dad was working at the time and he was so friendly and helpful! Postscript is definitely a drive from the Omaha area, but you must visit this little store at some point in your life!"
"We passed by this store and decided to walk in. This place is definitely an old bookstore. It looks a little creepy but it's not. There is so many books in here. The crazy part was everything was extremely organized. There are old but and a lot of new books as well. The prices are okay but I love supporting book stores. The lady who worked there was a little odd but she is super smart. Definitely check this bookstore out if you're in the area."
"This is the last remaining "Christian bookstore" in Omaha. "Christian" meaning it serves most mainstream and evangelical denominations, and acknowledging that many of their customers might not acknowledge the Catholic bookstores in town as being part of this category. "Bookstore" meaning that they carry a large selection of Bibles and of Christian-themed books, while also carrying cards, kitschy gifts which appeal to a very specific suburban demographic, and so forth. Books include Bibles, study guides, preaching aids, reference works, clean fiction, and guides for navigating just about any life problem you might encounter. They used to have an extensive selection of music CDs, but that's gone for the same reason that nobody else sells CDs anymore. They're independent and locally owned, so I make an effort to shop here even if I could save a few pennies online."
"I LOVE this little store! They have adorable children's gifts, puppets, and a wonderful selection of books and adult gifts! If you are passing through the area, or live there, it is worth stopping in. I can't say enough good things about this place! The store owner is so sweet, and so helpful. I love Hedgie's!!!"
"I came here looking for flag prices. The lady at the front desk was very informative. I Iove that their flags are all made in the USA! I also found a great baptismal gift as well! This store offers way more than I realized!! Highly recommended stopping in."
"My friend and I stopped by when we noticed it close to the cafe we were in. I'm a huge book lover so I love visiting local bookstores. The lady working was super friendly and gave some great advice on a few books in different series to read in the future. This cute store has a great little kids corner and some great book lover gifts. They also have a great best seller selection upon entry if you are curious what's hot to read at the moment."
"What an adorable bookstore. The staff was really friendly. The coffee shop within the bookstore looked lovely, and the woman behind the counter there was also extremely friendly. They have a number of fun gift items and little knickknacks. Love all the stuff for people who like to journal, dabble in some doodling, and cards and other stuff."
"Give me a book store, a cozy corner, and a welcoming owner and I can escape for a couple of hours and spend more time and money than intended.Terrace Books is located in a historic building that formerly housed a beauty shop and dry goods store. The owner was running the cash register, welcoming visitors, and making book recommendations to a few regulars. Her trusty cat was trying to slip out to the terrace and who could blame the feline after catching a glance at the terrace oasis at the rear of the book store. Books, puzzles, socks, coffee mugs and of course books are in abundance and I picked up two books for my grandson and book themed gifts for my daughter. Books can be ordered and a web site is available for on line orders and suggestions."
"This place is enormous it just looks tiny from the front. Scott's, the owner knows his books, buys well and has such a unique selection. There are old and new rare and not so rare and unusual books that will take you on a journey that a movie or Instagram or Facebook could never match. Reading is a lost art of critical thinkers I encourage you to come here and begin the journey. You won't be disappointed."
"Independent book stores come in two varieties. One is a cluttered mess with dusty secondhand books stuffed on shelves, stacked on floors, and shoved anywhere else the staff can find. The other is clean and well-organized with a focus on new books and releases. While both types of stores are great, The Bookworm definitely falls into the latter.I had a few minutes to spare before an event at a nearby business, so I popped in to check out The Bookworm's newish digs. The store is really nice. There were laid-back English-major types working. The selection spanned from new pop culture releases to lit classics to throwaway fiction paperbacks. Even a few comics in the humor section. You'll also find greeting cards and other small gifts as well as a couple spots where you can pull up a seat and read.All-in-all a great book store. If you made it this far in my review, that's pretty cool! I tried my best to make this one well-written. Let me know what you think of this review over at booksarekewl.net."
"I happened upon this bookstore on a walk one day. It is in a house across from another favorite store of mine, Exist Green. It is only open a handful of hours per week, so certainly check their Facebook page! Once you catch them on their open days, it is certainly worth it! It is such a small book store that each book in there has a reason, as it says in their bio! There is a section for each type of reader, small and older! Even though the bookstore isn't large, I find myself browsing for a very long time at each and every section of the store! There is definitely something for every one!"
"I feel it is necessary to update my review for Gloria Deo due to the fact that the owner contacted me shortly after my previous review was posted. He was very apologetic and offered to refund the full cost of the item I was trying to return along with a $25 gift card. He also assured me that they pride themselves on customer service and plans to review guest relations policies with all of their staff. He even stated "I have put your Yelp review at the top of our agenda for our next manager's meeting." I was very impressed with this response!"
"Let me start off by saying...I don't leave many reviews but lately I'm fed up with all of the shady people and terrible business etiquette and lack there of. The coinery has been around for many years...and for many years I've gone and bought things every now and then..BUT NO MORE..the guy that works here is VERY unprofessional NOT trustworthy and just an unfriendly unkind person HIS NAME IS JOHN! I wouldn't send ANYONE at all to this guy. He doesn't know what he ls talking about half the time he makes things up as he goes. Recently I took my daughter who was very excited about collecting coins in with me to the coinery and John "helped" us. In air quotes because I won't call what he did or said helping us. My daughter had some old coins and old bills and several very rare error notes paper money and a couple of very rare error coins. He looked at us and his EXACT words were "NO I WON'T BUY ANY OF THIS, BECAUSE IT'S ALL SHIT, He said "everyone thinks what they have is rare, but in reality all of YOU people are FUCKING stupid and do not know anything about collecting money.....EVERYONE THINKS THE THINGS THEY HAVE ARE WORTH SOMETHING,WELL THEY AREN'T. YOU SHOULD GO SPEND THEM THEY ARE GARBAGE" VERY RUDE TERRIBLE BUSINESS! HE IS A HORRIBLE PERSON! My daughter is very young and it took every ounce of respect to not yell at him! I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! I'M GLAD OTHER PEOPLE REALIZE THIS BUSINESS IS . Contacting the BBB and several others to file formal complaints!"
