"Lovely little gem in Bellevue! They have a unique assortment of decor, gifts, and clothing. Selection changes seasonally.Vintage/salvaged/repurposed items created by the owner can be found, as well as handmade crafts where a portion of the proceeds go back to the disabled who made them. There's a garden shop called Moss located just across the parking lot too."
"I've been in here a number of times over the years and it hasn't changed a bit, which is a good thing. The people working there are always nice and will help you if needed. It definitely smells like a warehouse filled with antiques.I love coming in here and seeing what random stuff I can find."
"This was a great shop with lots of choices. I collect Shawnee brand corn theme items and I found a great bowl at a super price. I also collect WW2 items and found a 60 year old post card to Encourage army enlistments. Pretty hot here now. No ac. But it was worth the effort."
"Joe is a nice guy and plays good music, but Chloe, his dog, is the star of this show. Not easy to find, Joe's is down a back alley just south of Jackson Street and behind Jackson Street Tavern (see my review) in the Old Market area, so just follow the signs.Dark and somewhat disorganized, you will find anything from treasures and trash in this massive collection of stuff. Clothes, books, knick-knacks, VHS, 8-track and cassette tapes ... you name it, Joe's got it! And the prices are very reasonable. I paid just 50¢ each for 5 cassette tapes and my wife paid only $3 for two antique books. The highlight of the visit was Joe's dog Chloe. She sits on top of the counter and accepts hugs and stroking from virtually any stranger. She even wears glasses and poses for photos with customers, having been featured in an October 2016 Omaha magazine ("Encounter") spread. Chloe gives hugs and otherwise accepts all of the affection you can muster, so stop by to see Chloe (she's 12) if nothing else.CombatCritic Gives Joe's Collectibles 9 Bombs Out Of 10 ... More Bombs Are Better!"
"Don't let the name fool you. Although Black Horse Antiques does boast a nice collection of antiques, this place is a rug hooker's mecca.I found Black Horse online, and made the drive to Valley during a recent trip to Omaha. Rug hooking has always intrigued me, so I decided to stop by and check it out.The owner is EXTREMELY helpful. Although I had NO CLUE what I was doing, she invited me to sit down and watch the rug hookers work on their projects for a while. She gave me a basic tutorial, and then set me up with a beginner's kit-- a stand to hold the project, a hook, and a pattern and wool to get me started. When I expressed concern about getting it onto the airplane, she shipped it to me. She also gave me a handout full of tips and tricks, and told me to give her a call the next time I'm coming through Omaha. She offered to meet me (even if it's on a day when they're closed) to review my project, provide feedback, and show me some finishing techniques. This store had a HUGE inventory of patterns and projects-- from small wall hangings to MEGA rugs for your floor. And the selection of wools and hooks was impressive.I would definitely go out of my way to stop in Omaha next time I'm driving across Nebraska-- this place is worth the trip!"
"Overpriced, dirty and much of the inventory is sub standard. To top it off he treated me rudely and basically booted me out the door, I was minding my own business. Light traffic no reason to be rude. I was about to buy an overpriced item when the shop keeper was unexpectedly rude. Guess he saved me the expense."
"Great stuff !! Had a wonderful time looking at everything and finding some great finds !! Clean and very well laid out. The store is on my return list !!"
"Fun hidden gem! And one of those places you'd love to happen upon! A collector of 30+ years finally opening it up to the public! New inventory weekly...it's an eclectic mix of old antiques and new concrete and metals...don't miss the chance to stop and see for yourself!"
"Outstanding collection of possibly a million marbles, plus some very valuable collector marbles!Over 1300 quart jars of 250 marbles apiece line the shop's walls. Incredible displays of all things marble including uranium ones. Many are for sale. Great knowledgeable staff."
"I also drove an hour to get to this spot on a Thursday. It was closed!!! We went to the door and it said "go in at our sister store, 2 blocks down on the same side of the street." So we get back in the car and go to the sister store and it's closed too! . Seriously.... unless you live close... don't bother!"
"If you are driving on the I-29 between Omaha and Sioux City you need to stop at this unique coffee shop at the Sloan exit. Creativity decorated with unique gift items and antiques that will make you smile no matter what age you are. My mother and I stumbled upon this place and enjoyed their homemade quiche, great coffee and hot chocolate. Service was friendly and all of the decor kept us entertained during our visit. You can tell a whole lot of love (and probably blood, sweat and tears) went into this clever space."
"One of my all time favorite antique stores! There's so much neat stuff, and something for everyone! I've purchased everything from my favorite cast iron cookware to some beautiful antique ironstone here. Oh, and the coffee table all my friends try to talk me out of? Bought at Wild Horse of course!"

Man stuff overload. I travel all over the lower 48 and kill time in antique malls. This one is one of my faves. Lots of rust and old wood. Rusty tools and some glassware. Old timber tools and saws. This is almost junktique. Most of the stuff would require a little effort to restore but wow is there a lot. Quite a lot of rusty cast iron cookware at $15-$25 range. Not the ridiculous $40-$60 range that is common. Guys, put on a jacket and plan to scratch around for a couple hours at least. This place is large and jam packed. Don't overlook the glass cases either. Packed with man stuff. Owner told me he requires the booth renters to keep a certain % of manly stuff. I will definitely be back. Bring a flashlight. It's kinda dark in a lot of booths.

I go to Joe's at least once a week now. He even lets me walk Lucky. I recently purchased a beautiful 1950's dresser with mirror for $40, but I also buy records ($2) and tapes, art prints, books, hardware, tools, cables for my stereo, a leash for my dog, a small fan...Joe's has just about everything I need except groceries.

"Warehouse Architectural Salvage is located near the end of Central Ave (main street in the town) in Nebraska City. We were exploring and saw this place and wanted to stop in and check it out.As you can tell from the name; the business focus is on architectural salvage, doors, windows, trim, fixtures from historic homes. This is a fairly decent sized building dedicated to these types of pieces. If you are looking to repurpose things for your home, this might be a good place to look. In addition to the architectural items, I saw a variety of furniture, trunks, bikes, cribs, glassware, bottles, etc - a little bit of everything quite frankly. They also have a website that you can check out their inventory. Probably worth checking out. The owners also have another antique shop just up the road from this location as well.Check out the photos and you will get a feel for the variety of merchandise that you can find. One thing I did note - is that I thought prices were a bit high."
"I love it here! Fantastic selection of Vintage, collectibles, handcrafted, and repurposed items! The family that owns and runs this store are just a beautiful as the store is! Looking for an amazing gift for that special someone, you should stop in and check it out!"
"Amazing inventory if you are looking to add any type of original architectural pieces to your house. You might have to dig, but you will find exactly what you are looking for!!!"
"We planned a short day trip from Des Moines IA to Lincoln NE on July 5th with stops in Omaha NE and Council Bluffs IA on our way home...We love to hit antique shops, antique malls, thrift, and consignment shops.Platte Valley Antique Mall, Cafe & Pub in nearby Greenwood NE was probably our favorite stop. Followed closely by Vintage Village Antique Mall, Aardvark Antiques, Burlington Antiques, and Timeless Treasures in Lincoln NE.All of these shops are worth stopping at and checking out!We really didn't get to Omaha NE itself, but there's always next time...! We only ran into one shop that we would not recommend. Lake Manawa Antiques in Councill Bluffs IA... Look it up. Lol"
"I go by this place every day and had not actually made it inside until recently. I'm so glad I did. I'm not really into nick nacky antiques so I was pleasantly surprised when I walked inside Mc Millan. It's very open and airy unlike most antique stores that seem cramped and full of dust. When I visited they had quite a bit of furniture and larger items (old cash registers, pinball machines). Many of their antiques seemed like functional pieces of home decor, rather than collectibles. The over all style of the store was much younger and hipper than I expected. (Can you describe an antique store as "young" and "hip"? ...well I just did.)They also sell Trapp candles which I guess is a big deal to some people."
"These friendly folks dusted off a bunch of unique antique & vintage items & arranged everything in a beautiful historic on Union's Main St. Fun place to explore."

"Terrific prices and a huge selection of antiques in two buildings--the little store and another big building. Tom knows his stuff and is super friendly!"
"THis place has a huge selection of solid hutches, cupboards, secretaries and the like. Anything smaller is overpriced."
"This is the real deal people. First of all, it's HUGE! Sure it's crammed to the gills and a little disorganized, but guess what, real collectors love that; it's makes the hunt more fun! As to grumpy staff, April is more than friendly so maybe you caught her dad on a bad day. If I'm still working when I'm in my 80s I bet I'll have a few bad days too. Now let's talk about "the stuff."They don't have racks and racks of boring everyday clothes here like everywhere else, but I spotted a cool looking London Fog trench coat hanging near a huge pile of LPs. They had two desk telephones from the 30s, an Italian-made record changer from the 50s and some really cool Bang and Olufsen gear from the 70s and 80s. You're not going to see stuff like this at most thrift shops. Pro tip; if you collect jewelry you have to ask to see the good stuff. The marked prices can be a little high but if you really want something, good things come to those who negotiate. I'm going to be a regular here because they're always getting new inventory in, and that's what's it all about. Five stars all the way!"
"Knowledgeable staff who really understand timepieces. From simple watch battery replacement to delicate work on antique clocks, you can trust these professionals. The showroom is beautiful! Huge variety of new and pre-owned clocks. Could be a wonderful gift for a special occasion or for yourself. Took my grandfather's 100+ year old clock there for cleaning and repair. I would trust no one else with this treasure."
"This was my favorite store in Walnut, IA! When you are antique shopping, it can get a little overwhelming and it's hard to find the stuff that you want...specially when you already have something in mind. But the owner at Mabel's Old Fashioned Rose was the nicest and most helpful person in Walnut! He asked us what we were looking for, and right away showed us a couple pieces, and gave us suggestions of other thing we could add to our collection. I would definitely be back to see what else he has in store."
"Okay, so you know how some of these miscellaneous shops don't really have anything cool and they're just stock piled full with crap. Well, this is not the place. This place is the bees' knees and fun for all ages. You will get lost in every nook and cranny, not only from all the fun, but you literally feel like you're transported back in time. I felt like a kid in a candy store."
"Don't just drive past this store because of see all the metal lawn art outside. There is a lot of Antiques and vintage items inside!Once in side the store head to the left and you are in the small antique room. The larger room is just to the back of the store. Give yourself a little time to browse because they have a lot of awesome items! We spent about an hour and half inside the store and left with a lot of stuff! The lady running the store was very nice and knowledgeable about the items and the store. The prices were ok, there was a few items that were out of range of what it was worth but you can always ask to bring it down in price? I will return to this store in the future."
"This is one of my favorite new thrift stores in town. Every time we walk in, we are greeted and told the deals of the day - which everyday is something new! The store is also HUGE! You can walk upstairs and see men's & kids clothing, shoes, fabrics, and blankets. The main floor downstairs has housewares, a furniture section, and then farther down is more kids clothes, plus women's. There is truly something for everyone here and this thrift supports the community. I go every time I have the chance!"
"Great shop! You can get lost in here for hours. Rows and rows and rows. The new owners have done a great job organizing. I always find something when I go here. It's kind of a cool set up as it used to be an old roller rink. Only thing lacking here are clothes and shoes, never seem to score in that department. I do take home a lot of other items though!"
"This shop recently opened in the former Omaha Healing Arts building. The shop has a large variety of interesting merchandise including but not limited to:Bugs in resin, rings, wlndchimes, incense, imported woodcarvings/masks/decor items, bracelets, and kaleidoscopes. In the basement you'll find antiques and collectibles. This building is beautiful inside. It's worth stopping in if even just to look at the architecture. It smells nice, and staff are friendly."
"What a magical vintage store. I've wanted to visit for some time and have seen many photos but I was still flabbergasted when I entered. This place is HUGE, staged beautifully, and is filled to the brim with treasures. Whether you're looking to kill some time or have a specific item in mind, this is the spot. Don't miss the downstairs!"
"The Egg Krate is a very old building with history in it's walls including on the shelves of the store. The winding hallways of junk love is never ending and it seems almost like a maze. I could spend 5+ hours in there sifting through other's treasures and have! We visited in October when they had their huge outdoor market and it was crazy fun!"
"This is a very nice "curated" store with well organized, clean merchandise. The owner is friendly and informative. They didn't have any of the stuff in interested in, vintage electronics, tapes and records on the day I visited. Definitely one of Omaha's better antique/junk/curio shops."
"I had so much fun in this antique mall. It was sort of like Vegas, because I lost all track of time. At first I thought it was mostly antique glassware, which they have a boatload of, but then realized they have way more than that. What stood out to me, as a lover of most vintage things, was the immense array of jewelry, often curated by color, which is very helpful. The prices vary. Some booths had sales going which helped. There were lots of vintage hearts sprinkled throughout the mall. I also saw numerous postcards, cabinet cards, and some other vintage ephemera. I'm still thinking about the hat pin holder I saw. They have a sweet shop dog and it was nice to see him. Diane, I believe was her name, was very helpful and kind. The whole experience was fabulous and I'm overjoyed with what I got!"
"This locally owned business did a wonderful job restoring a family heirloom. I'd recommend them to any one with furniture that needs refinishing. Bob & Jeanne were a delight to work with."
"This was a great shop we waited an extra day to visit. Lots of vintage glass. I make deviled eggs and I needed a new serving plate. I found two here. And my wife collects vintage purses for display. Turn of the century. We found one to take home. Great shop!"
