Burrito King

This is our go-to place for dinner in town when no one can agree of what we want for about 3 years now. We've never had a bad experience. Staff has always been friendly and kind. I have a family of 6 and getting everyone to agree on anything is unheard of, but we all agree, this place is great. Portions are generous. Pricing is very reasonable. Food is always well prepared and nicely seasoned. There is some nice variety, everything doesn't taste like the same food under a different name. The fajitas are my usual since I don't eat a lot of carbs, the meat and veg are always cooked perfectly and my kids are happy to steal my tortillas for their beans and rice. We've used their drive through a few times and this is honestly the only restaurant I have ever used the drive through where my order has been right and I've received everything I asked for every single time.

I found myself in Columbus NE for a one-day conference that didn't offer lunch, so naturally I wanted to try the best that this town had to offer. When I entered burrito King, it was about 11:15 a.m. and I was the only one in there that early, I was greeted by two very friendly people who were very attentive as I first ordered fajitas and then decided I couldn't come to burrito King without getting a burrito. Quick aside, the worst burrito of my life was in Oslo Norway, I've still been balancing that experience with above average burritos in the Midwest. The special of the day was the big belly burrito after considering this I went with just the regular size steak burrito. I got it without sour cream and without cheese and asked for onions which they agreed to add. They also brought spicy salsa and regular salsa which I had to mix together because the spicy was too spicy and the regular was something my mom could eat. As I waited what turned out to be four and a half minutes for my burrito I looked around at the ambiance the restaurant had to offer. Particularly the brightly colored walls and the equally brightly colored paintings that adorned most of the walls.Like I said the burrito came out very quickly, and when it did the flour tortilla shell was the best toasted shell of my young life. It was also quite large, not big belly large but plenty as I had to return to the conference and give a presentation. I used most of the salsa mix on the burrito which was, beyond The toasted shell decent. The lettuce, steak, and onions were good, but not necessarily seasoned in a way that will have me craving them in the future. However, if I found myself in Columbus again, in need of a solid and affordable lunch option, I'd come back to Burrito King and probably try the big belly. I'd request they add onion and rice.

The food at this place was very tasty and the portion size was huge. The tortilla got soggy and the burrito fell apart was the only problem. Price was fair and the owner was very nice. Plus they have a wide variety of meats to choose from.

Always super friendly staff, with a large selection of great food! Yes, they have great burritos, but they have even better tortas and street tacos. Don't forget to order a cup of cold horchata. You will never be disappointed by Burrito King, except on Mondays, as they are closed. The great people who work there certainly deserve a day off. But it is always sad knowing the savory culinary delights are denied until tomorrow.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Columbus. They have a wonderful staff that have always been friendly whenever we go in. Their chicken enchiladas dinner is amazing, as well as their queso. If you are looking for amazing Mexican food please go here!

Only 1 visit but impressed. Extremely friendly front counter and cook. Clean restaurant. Had the carne asada burrito and queso blanco appetizer. Corn tortilla chips nice and thick (but cold). Queso was white and warm. Salsa was cold. Both as I like them. Burrito was Big and hot and fresh. Tasty beans and rice. I will eat again and try something different. Recommend for sure.

In town for work and gave it a shot. Pay at the cashier and they bring the food out. Limited menu to burittos and tacos. I had the pork Buritto and a soft chicken taco. Buritto was HUGE and spiced well. I liked it. Taco was very good too. I'll be back.
