Awful. Smelled terribly moldy. Horribly dated. Dank. Air conditioning unit was duck-taped to the wall. Cinder block wall adorned with carpet on the bottom half. Thank goodness I had a blanket to throw over the bed and my own pillows. Could not have slept between those sheets! Yikes!Rested a few hours and got out quickly. Last 'resort' option. No, just no!

Decent place to stay. We tried to find a more upscale place, but were too tired to drive any further. Beds were bouncy on spring frames. We weren't thrilled with the cleanliness, but the price was the lowest we've paid in many years, so I should give it more stars for value. Room had small fridge. But honestly we would prefer to pay twice as much to get a squeeky clean room. She said breakfast was included, but when I dropped key off, all I saw was a package of muffins, coffee, and OJ.

Affordable and convenient. Dated but clean, comfortable and quiet. Would rather save a little cash at this place while passing through than pay double the price for a room with newer particle board furniture and less convenience. The bed was so comfy I had a hard time getting up!!! If you're not fussy and just looking for a place to sleep while passing through on I-80 I highly recommend this little motel. Gas station right across the street and also the Chuckwagon restaurant which has the #1 rated burger in Iowa! What a great find this Adair exit. Who knew?

Great prices -- under $50 a night both times I've stayed here this month (in 2015). This is a clean, no-nonsense hotel. The proprietor is nice and it's a place with some character. If you're looking for the sterility of a Holiday Inn, this place is not for you. If you don't mind some funkiness, you'll save a lot of $$ by staying here!

Very friendly customer service. Older hotel but room was clean and roomy. Super close to the freeway and great rates. Perfect for a road trip overnight stop.

Great value, and that bears on the rating significantly. Near I-80 exit, but far enough to not hear traffic noise.Family run. Clean. TV works well. Comfortable bed.

I give Adair Budget Inn 5 stars because it is a cheap motel, and did everything I think an inexpensive hotel/motel should do. The mom & pop who run it were friendly. The Inn exceeded my expectations by (1) having nice pillows!! (2) by providing plenty of towels (3) providing good lighting and decorations. Breakfast was cold cereal + milk, plus coffee. (I often prefer places that don't serve elaborate breakfast meals, because I figure I'm paying for the food.)It was a pleasant stay, and we'll likely stay there again.

Je suis un connaiseur des cheap motels. Owned by quiet helpful pleasant Indian couple. Room has electric (quiet) heat. Room was clean bed comfy. Real cheap at $40 a night. Ice avail in maint room Behind office desk. Micro and fridge in room. Pop vending Mach. Dunno about Internet. Was quiet my night but I was between hunting season and summer interstate travel season. Is on main road but not near highway. Kum and Go v handy. Only drawback was dumpster and outside trash cans were all way too full.
