Budget Car and Truck Rental

THEY AREN'T CONNECTED TO NATIONAL BUDGET RENTALS. I would give ZERO stars if I could. We booked the biggest minivan, for 7 people and cargo, in February. We arrive in June and, "oh sorry, we got a lot of requests because the College World Series is going on". They gave us a Ford Explorer and did not offer any discount, although they rented our vehicle to someone else for a premium, and the Explorer is about $150 less for a rental. They still attempted to charge the full amount.

AVOID. Go with Enterprise instead.Our office had an 8-person team running in an all-day relay race, for which we needed a large van. Despite making the reservation 4 months in advance and confirming the reservation over the phone a couple weeks in advance, Budget GAVE OUR VAN AWAY. Unfortunately, the team captain had gotten a new cell phone and her number had changed. That was their excuse for renting the van to someone else. Despite that, she had also left her email address as an alternate way to contact her and - as I mentioned above - had already confirmed the reservation with the manager. When I showed up to the airport counter at the time I was told, there was no one there. The employee at a competing rental company (Enterprise) was nice enough to ask if I needed help, and then proceeded to set the "Back in 15 minutes" sign up, which the Budget staff *should* have done. After waiting for approx. 10 minutes (with my ride waiting & texting me from the drop-off area), the on-duty guy showed up in flip flops only to tell me that they didn't have our van. He was quick to tell me that it wasn't his fault (true, but not helpful!) and finally, after talking with the upset team captain on the phone, started checking with the neighboring companies to see if THEY had any vans available.Long story short, the Enterprise guy came to the rescue, again! He was polite, professional, and hooked us up with an even BIGGER van at about the same price. I got a phone call the following week from Enterprise asking about my satisfaction with the rental, and I gave him a glowing review.
