Bubba's Anytime

Hmm kitschy coca-cola charm. The guy running the place was nice. The food is basic fryer food from Sam's club. I had a steak phillie that missed the seasoning. My daughter grilled cheese was as expected. It's food and it's cheap. Still better than supporting a fast food joint.Ps it's CASH ONLY. No signs anywhere just a little surprise at check out.

Not gonna lie, stopped here at this roadside diner in tiny little Strang, KS because of the name. I made plans in the parking lot to ask for Bubba personally, but I chickened-out when we got inside. The place is completely decked out with Coca-Cola memorabilia, some of it vintage authentic stuff! The menu is substantial for a tiny little diner, and prices are an expensive. Most of the items on the menu are intimately linked to the grill or a deep fat fryer; not that this is a bad thing. I had a great burger here, curly fries, and a big Coke. The kids got an early dinner of fried chicken sandwiches, strips, tots, all the good stuff.One of my favorite things about traveling cross country has stopping in small towns to meet the folks who live here, work here, and provide for wary travelers like me and my family. Genuinely good people, and I haven't met a stinker yet.Notably, they had hours of operation on the door, breaking my theory that Bubba's Anytime time was a 24 hour joint. But man, I'm glad it was open as we passed through town, and before we knew it, the place was in the rearview, our memories, and our hearts. Just might find a reason to drive through Strang again sometime in the future.

Absolutely the best small town experience! From burgers to prime rib, buffet, wings & everything else is fantastic. If you are lucky the also have homemade Kolaches too! They even cater great food at a great price. The Coke theme is so cool!Let's keep these wonderful small town businesses going!

We will be back! Strang, posted population of 29, is blessed - BLESSED I tell you - to be home to this cafe. First, it is decorated totally in coca-cola theme, but because they care about guests, you can still successfully order a Pepsi in a can. I think this says a great deal about their hospitality. Next, there is a salad bar. It consists almost entirely of a wondrous quantity of what I would call "church lady salads," and is therefore delicious. 3rd, there are at least 8 variations of potato side dishes available. 4th, I found my burger was grilled to perfection. Our visit was over the lunch hour; we will return in the evening on a Friday or Saturday to enjoy the weekend dinner specials.

On my way to a wedding in Lincoln. Stopped in Strang and tried Bubbas Anytime. It was surprisingly busy. We called our order in, cause we are always running late . My patty melt was great. Lots of cheese and great bread. Hubby and kiddo had cheese burgers. They were pretty decent. Spiral fries were average. Added a couple sodas, Homemade cherry kolasch, and homemade cinnamon roll. Waitress was great. Then came the bill..., BLOWN AWAY! $13.13 WHAT!!! Sandwiches for 3 people, soda, fries AND dessert! I thought she must have missed something. Nope!This place rocked!!

Very good food! Small towns like this that only have one eatery are usually VERY VERY good. The food here is fresh. The fried chicken and corn was definitely local. If you're happening through the area or driving on the interstate a few miles north of here, drive to one of these small towns if you're hungry. Ignore all the fast food places along the highway and try out these small town cafes. You'll get really good food cheap. You can't find places like this in the cities. Side note: This place has one of the most impressive collections of coca cola memorabilia I've ever seen.

This was such a fun place! Great atmosphere and the Reuben sandwich was one of the best I've ver had. The corned beef was grilled and they didn't skimp on the kraut. I drive through here often on road trips and I'll definitely be stopping here again!

We love to stop here when we're going to and from Kansas to visit relatives. We're always pleased with whatever we've ordered. Friendly service is always the case here. While you wait for the food, you can look at all the amazing things they have around the rooms (lots of coke items and other antiques). Great place to grab a meal.

Great anytime. Just as my husband said 'I'd like a soda,' we approached Strang. 4 PM snack. Terrific poppers and tater tots, large Arnold Palmers. We would've stayed longer. And did I mention the great decor? Coca Cola everything.

Amazingly inexpensive lunch specials. It's a special treat any day of the week! We stop when we are in the area!
