My husband and I were on our way from Colorado to Cedar Rapids and had been driving all day. We just wanted a beer and a bite to eat. We crossed the road from our hotel to BTs Lounge. What a lovely surprise! The wait staff was so welcoming. We ordered drinks but found out the kitchen was closed because it was so late. Not to worry, as the bar and its patrons were having a pot luck and there was plenty, we were told. And low and behold, near the back was a large table ladened with food. I felt like I was in a Baptist church basement! Everyone in the bar treated us like family, encouraging us to eat our fill. How cool is that?If you want to be welcomed as if you are a "regular" even though you're a stranger, this happy, brightly lit bar is the perfect spot. I wished it were in my home town.

Great little bar. Awesome bartender (Deb). Lot's of interesting locals who are friendly and fun to chat with. Will definitely be back if we ever end back in Grand Island.

Your usual midwestern bar on a commercial strip street, but it's got some things going for it:1) near at least 3 motels (Midtown Holiday Inn, Island Inn, Super 8, there's even a push-button crosswalk so you can drag yourself back at 1 am without getting murderlated by cars) 2) friendly bartenders, locals tend to sit on the back side of the joint but they are funny midwest characters3) they play the simulcast racing, so if you are a 'turf accountant' you can follow up here, anyplace that places an importance on horse racing or the major league baseball channel is quite fine as far as I am concerned.

Pretty much as the previous reviewer said... On this Wed night its absolutely silent in here beyond the old guy hitting on the bored-looking bartender (she has clearly suffered this fate before) and the other two guys chatting about the weather. Must be a slow night. Couple TVs on, but not a lick of media-based sound. Hope I don't fart!

Cool, laid back little watering hole. A little scary from the outside, but very friendly once you get through the door.
