Total joke of a hospital, they turn people out of the ER with infections and broken legs. Nurses in the ED are unresponsive and uncaring to the point that the personal conversation is more important than helping patients calling for help and apparently going to the bathroom is your own adventure

What a terrible place and people to deal with. I went in to the ER almost 2 months ago and really the people were perfectly nice to deal with. I had flu symptoms and had spiked a really bad fever. I had already been to my doctor but wasn't feeling better and got really scared with all the people that had died from the flu. They took me right in and did a couple tests and told me nothing was wrong and sent me home. I was in there for less than 40 minutes. A couple weeks later I receive a bill for $1700!! That included almost $900 for a room with a chair. I contacted their billing department, who are completely useless. They couldn't even tell me what I was charged for. Talked to a nurse who's job is apparently to verify that the price on her computer matches what I was charged for the services. Aren't you using a computer to generate this bill lady!!!!! Waited over 2 weeks for an administrator to call me. Finally, I theatened to start calling their hospital if someone didn't call me. When someone did he was incredibly rude and tried to get me to pay them what we agreed on the phone without them sending me any documentation. This isn't my first rodeo dude! Now I can't get them to talk with me again. Lots of things I'm not even including here. Found out I should have been offered a 55% discount that day and all this headache wouldn't have even taken place. Still haven't resolved this. Still waiting for someone at this place to grow a brain so I can pay them what they deserve. If you're reading this I'll send you $750 as soon as I see it in writing. That's still a ridiculous price considering what you did and it doesn't even include the $600 doctor bill I have.

Had excellent care, staff was super responsive and quick. Every person I encountered loved their job and you could tell by the level of care. The doctors were very thorough and inclusive in explaining not only the tests but also the outcomes and referrals beyond my being discharged. I know it's hard and everywhere is short staffed, by Bryan went above and beyond for my care.

Bryan West Emergency--the place where the nurses at the nurses' station have time to discuss who a transgender individual will date, but don't have time to check in on patients! And where a cardiologist ordered a test and then tried to order it again. I will never go there voluntarily again.

This review is on the financial department for Bryan Medical Center, West Campus, Lincoln, NE. First of all, you can't get anybody to call you back to discuss setting up payments. It took me a month of persistent calling to reach someone and then I demanded to be placed on hold until they could find the person. I left a message after message but did not get a response from three separate individuals. I spoke to the supervisor in the financial department at Bryan Medical Center West. Unbelievably, she was completely unwilling to work with me on a payment plan for which I can afford. She is denying me financial assistance, claiming that I make too much money. When I called to set up payments, she basically said she would not allow me to make payments in the amount I can afford and directed me to get a bank loan or she would turn me into collections and have me sued. My insurance company paid tens of thousands of dollars to the hospital already. The only part I need to finance is the $3000 that I owe them. They can write other people's financial obligations off, but can't even work with me on monthly payments that I can afford? I'm not even asking for a free ride. I will pay my debt. All I need is time to get it paid. It's unfortunate that a hospital that has such a caring a medical staff has a financial department that is the complete opposite. I will be reviewing this department on Yelp because I think this is a travesty. Any future patients of this hospital might want to take into consideration that they will not work with individuals financially to help them make payments monthly in an amount that is affordable. It's not like they haven't gotten any money at all. A bulk of this bill was already paid through my insurance company. It's incredibly sad that honest, hard-working people have to resort to figuring out other options in order to maintain a favorable credit score when others are approved to pay nothing.

The nurses were, for the most part, wonderful. I take exception, however to being billed for sessions with an Occupational Therapist that I did not authorize. The hospital should be more open about the services you will be billed for, especially if they are optional services. Not sure I would return there if there were another option in the community that my insurance would cover.
