Hey, thats me!
I build Octave Mandolins sometimes, they are a flat-top "Size 5" terz guitar body with a 21.5" scale length.
This is a 0-18 style guitar that I built, with a light sunburst and varnish finish. Very big sounding for being 0 sized.
If a crack is too wide for just glue, I will add a spruce spline to span the gap... Much stronger than filling it in with anything else.
Replacing the bridge on a LG-1 Gibson from the 1940's
Lacquer repair on a Gibson 335
Heres a few tenor ukuleles that I built, I make quite a mean uke. I'd love to build one for you!
no truss rod in this old Kay guitar... so I pulled the fingerboard off and routed a channel and installed one!
Replacing the Mother of Pearl inlay on a fingerboard
I made a replacement neck for a Gibson Tenor guitar to convert it to 6 string. Turned out to be a very cool guitar.
nice cedar top on this Bruce 0-18sb, really sweet sounding guitar that I shipped to San Fransisco.

I bought a Martin CEO-7 over four years ago and loved it so much I couldn't stand being without it long enough to have it set up. Recently I noticed that it was having the infamous binding separation at the rear waist so looked for the nearest Martin service center to have it fixed. I was overjoyed to see that Micah Bruce of Bruce & Sons was now on the Martin service center list and is only a few miles away. So in it went for setup and warranty binding repair. Got my guitar back yesterday and the set up was perfection. Micah worked magic especially with adjustments at the nut. And the binding now looks like new from the factory. So pleased to have service of this quality available locally.

Micah is a gifted luthier with excellent credentials and he delivers superb results at a fair price for such immaculate work. I highly recommend Bruce and Sons for both acoustic and electric guitar repairs or restorations. His restoration work on my 50 year old Martin D-35 was beyond my expectations and will keep me playing for years to come. Cheers.
