This was the single worst experience we encountered during our home renovation, and the largest scam of a company we have ever come across. We hired Bright Happy Painting to paint our entire home interior, including all new trim, doors, and windows. The man in charge made a positive impression upon meeting him, and offered a very reasonable bid initially. However, our bid increased by thousands once he had already moved his equipment and amateur painting team into the house. He claimed he was given a false impression of what the job entailed, which led to the bid increasing by $2650. Our complaint is not the bid increase so much as it is the VERY poor painting quality of work that was performed. Not only did this company cost us several thousands of dollars in paying them for their poor work, but also over a thousand in paint and primer costs followed by the even higher cost of re-painting everything they destroyed and not to mention time. Shortcuts were taken everywhere we looked. It appeared that the trim and door hinges were not taped off. We have spent several hours trying to remove the paint from the hinges, which turned out to be destroyed. White trim paint is on the wall in more places then not. Not a single window was opened to paint the frame fully. So once opened, the windows were half white and half wood-colored. Several areas appeared to be unprimed. The walls had drips of paint everywhere with uneven coverage, bubbles, and orange peel texture. There was trim in multiple places not even painted white at all (only primed as was when we purchased it) and definitely not caulked well. Also, our screen doors will need to be replaced and new windows scraped due to messy paint splatter in numerous spots. Additionally, tremendous time was spent scraping and cleaning paint off the black wrought iron stair spindles, the sink, wall and floor tile. The least of my concerns yet still unprofessional were the cigarettes and disposable gloves found thrown in the front yard. I write this review not out of spite, but rather to save someone else from experiencing the same distress we have gone through. The new painters we ended up hiring were amazing to even take on the job of fixing everything that Bright Happy Painting destroyed. It was a tremendous job, as everything had to be sanded down, re-caulked and of course re-painted. The second set of painters have been painting for nearly 30 years, and claimed this was the worst paint job they had ever seen.

Bright Happy Painting painted the entire interior of my home. The bid was reasonable. The house was painted before the furniture arrived so the job went quickly. He did return to fix an area that was missed as he said he would if I found anything wrong. Overall, I'm pleased with the work.
