Brickhouse Tavern

Unfortunately, we did not end up eating here. It was open seating. We came in a few minutes before 1. I feel like the bartenders looked over at us. The wait staff was waiting on tables. No one acknowledged us when they walked by us. A couple came in well after us. A waitress went and brought them menus. I got the waitresses' attention and asked if she was our server. She said "no I just got here and took a table, but I'll check."" She went into the kitchen, walked by our table, and did not say anything. We ended up leaving.

Great food, great service. Stumbled upon this place for lunch and we couldn't have been more pleased!

Awesome pizza and great local craft brews and specialty cocktails. Service was quick and friendly even on a crowded Friday night! We go here every time we come to Indianola for the summer opera festival.

I went to this small quaint town with a hankering for some crab rangoon and I found a hidden jewel inside the Brickhouse Tavern - CRAB RANGOON PIZZA. I was hesitant at first and didn't want to spoil the delicacy that is crab rangoon by morphing it with cheap pizza. After some approval from our waitress, I stepped out in faith and ordered my first crab rangizza. My taste buds were leaping for joy once this conglomeration entered my mouth. The cream cheese, the crunch of the wontons, the sauce - it all messed beautifully on a crispy pizza crust. I have talked about this experience with everyone I've met upon returning home to the east coast. May this chef receive glorious blessings upon blessings for his/her creation!

West side of the Indianola Square is a sweet sports bar and restaurant that has class...Sorry to say it was our second choice to dine this evening but the rights fell into our lap nicely since we started with Margarita's at home; the bartender here had skills...Instead of steaks we went with the classic bar trio; drinks, chicken wings, and pizza Classic salt rimmed Margs, Jerk and Creamy Buffalo wings, and a Big Ol Cheese Burger Pizza made its way in successful order....Wait staff was bubbly and helpful, back of house made thier namesake true with the smoked wings, and the pizza was magic on a thin crust that held up to a pound of pickles, Thanks to an All Around great evening out under the Chicago Home Field advantage....

Great service with friendly competent staff! All employees wearing masks but please be cognizant that social distancing is NOT practiced. We requested to set a high-top table away from other patrons, our waitress was very accommodating. The majority of the staff are Simpson College students. They are extremely polite and checked on us at least six times which is huge !!! Excellent excellent customer service!!!The food is absolutely delicious. We looove the pizza here! The chicken bacon ranch pizza is our new favorite! If you like crab Rangoon you must try The Brickhouse crab Rangoon pizza!

What happened here?Once upon a time this was a regular spot for us and several folks we knew around Indianola. It was never approaching great but you could get a weak drink and a decent pizza at a reasonable price in an okay atmosphere. The Pizza is much weaker now and the drinks about the same but the place is dirty with a constant yodeling of Country music in the background. It's gone bad, very bad.Indianola continues to be a wasteland of bad dinning.

Touchdown! Great wings, cold beers, and killer atmosphere. Perfect spot to catch the game with friends!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
