Brick Street Tavern

I come here all the time and love it! Never a dull moment there. Love the bartenders! Especially Jim! He always goes over the top to make sure you have the best experience you can have! Highly recommend!

Reposting verbatim from Nextdoor so business can actually see this:"Wife, daughter and I went to the Brick Street Tavern in Old Millard for the first time last weekend around 5:30pm. It used to be the Cottner Street Bar and Grill. Anyway, it looked like the Lady behind the bar was in charge. She was mixing it up with what looked like about six regulars and gave us the cold shoulder from the start. We sat down at a table near the bar, we had our pick of tables because there was only one other table occupied. She seemed annoyed that we were there and was avoiding eye contact. We had to waver her down to get an order in for three sandwiches and a beer after waiting way too long. It was the same drill when we wanted our check and there was no service in between; no water refills, no "how is everything", nothing. It was a very unwelcoming experience."

Good food! Local ambiance. Decent service. I eat here at least once per week. Never been disappointed.

Nice little place open for late lunch on a Monday. The AC had a hard time keeping up. Lots of TVs with sports. We all enjoyed our meals and the service were both great.

Went at 6pm tuesday for dinner. Terrible service. Slow, inconsistent couldn't get a drink or a refill. Finally ordered and food was wrong. Bartender never came by to check back. Had to go up to pay for meal she asked how it was told her it was wrong "oh sorry want your check?".... we left places like this are just driving themselves out of business with shitastic service and entitled employees.

I don't really know how to write this review - honestly when I have a bad experience at a place, I tend to hold off until I go again to see if it was just a bad night or what I should expect for the future. However, I really don't think that this is a place I will be going again in the future, so I am going to go ahead and write the review. When I arrived, it took over 10 minutes for anyone to come up to me to get me started on an order - I was about to leave when the bartender/waitress approached me and did confirm they were still serving food for the next hour. I just asked for a water, soda and a menu. Again it took almost 10 minutes to get those items. I was about to leave again, when the bartender/waitress came rushing over with my drinks an a menu apologizing - she stated she had asked her co-worker to get me the drinks and he just made them and set them on the table. He also walked by and apologized. I ordered the beef philly with waffle fries and no peppers. It looked amazing when it came and the waffle fries are as good as people say. I was really disappointed in the sandwich though - no flavor - I have never done this with a philly but I added ketchup to give it some flavor and it made it much better. It was busy and maybe that is why I was missed, but honestly this felt a little too like a neighborhood bar which really just tends to focus on their regulars and new people get ignored. I didn't like the neighborhood feel - there was few people who were really drunk, lots of yelling and it seemed like the bartender was having to be more of a bouncer than a customer should have to worry about going to a neighborhood bar and grill on a Thursday night. Actually he is the reason I am giving 3 stars instead of two - he was very apologetic about the sodas and he prevented a man who was really drunk from joining my table and apologized that this was a possibility in the first place.

Great bar food, friendly staff. Was in town for work multiple weeks and hung out here quite often.

7th stop on our burger tour. #1 now. Knocked Louie M's Burger Lust and Smitty's Garage Burgers and Beer down to 2nd. Burger thickness to bun thickness was just perfect according to the carnivores in the group. It only took one or two bites for them to decide this was #1. The patty was perfectly moist. Not to greasy, not too dry, did not fall apart. Apparently it tasted ok too :-) I had the personal pizza with pepperoni and onion. It was above average for a bar pizza. Definitely a hometown bar atmosphere, with a lot of regulars in attendance. Staff friendly and helpful. Just the right amount of attention. Plenty of TV's if you want to watch sports. The noise level was low, but it wasn't the weekend either. Definitely a place to come back to.

Taco Tuesday - JOKE!! The shells regular size super super chewy - with Maybe a TABLESPOON of the Meat! 15.50 total for 7 tacos and WE Are Starving!! Btw- When ordering on phone my husband asked - Do you have any rice or beans or chips and salsa - NO - And NO salsa but "queso"--- NO THANKS!! And I forgot to take a pic - dang it- pretty Comical !

Very good food but the portions are not good if you're hungry! Especially the fries. Very small amounts even when you order a large. Ordered the large several times so I know it's every time.
