Rhubarb wine anyone?....I've never had rhubarb prior to my visit to Iowa. Just the day before, I had Rhubarb pie and now wine....I heart Iowa! Thank you for opening my mind and palette to rhubarb and all its glory! This charming vineyard is tucked away in the city of Minden. I found comfort and joy in the fact that they grow their own grapes and purchase within the state of Iowa as well. Apparently they can't ship out of state, but if your visiting or just driving through, you can definitely smuggle a few bottles with you. They provided me with five free wine samples, some crackers and chocolate to compliment. They also have small tasting of cheese, sausages and some nice truffles for purchase as well. This is truly a hidden gem, and I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I did.Bon Appetit...winning the hearts of food lovers one tummy at a time!

We decided on a whim to run out to Breezy Hills. Great choice. Service was superb and very friendly. Free tasting unlike NE wineries. Most of the wines were very good for midwest wines and the best thing...the view. Sitting on their patio reminded me of being in Napa. The eats were good too!

Perfection! I was visiting a friend who lives in Omaha and one of his gal pals from back in the day suggested we go with her to check out this awesome little winery - and I am ever so glad we did! I don't know if I can sing higher praises for this place :-) First off, every single wine I tasted was yummy-licious! My favorites would have to be the chocolate-raspberry flavored Guilty Pleasure, the Misbehavin', Sassy Girl and Cabana Boy. But beyond that there are lots of fruit flavored, sweet, semi-sweet, and dry wines to taste and enjoy! Plus, with five free samples you can experience the genius wonder that is Breezy Hills! Michelle and Sarah were awesome hostesses! Not only were they cheery and nice but they were interested in their customers and their stories. We chatted for at least an hour about anything and everything...it was like hanging out with friends! Inside you can find wonderful gifts, accessories, wine holders and shirts. Also, they have a menu which includes meats and cheeses and even beer! Outside, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the breezy Iowa hills - picturesque for sure. Of course, I didn't have my camera on me at the time. But, the memories will last a lifetime! The patio is set up with plenty of seating, a beautiful rose garden and all the fresh air you can handle. They even turned the radio out the window so we could hear some tunes! A short drive from the highway, this place should not be passed up! It's just freakin' awesome!

This is a cute little wine shop where you can get wine tastings and it's barely off the highway, so if you're roadtripping it's not much of a detour. While I didn't love all of their wines, they did have a wine that was made by mistake called "Misbehavin'" and it was most excellent. I got two bottles and wish I'd gotten a few more. They also have some cute stuff in their shop. I got a couple candleholders made out of wine bottles. The lady behind the counter was super friendly, the wine was pretty good, and they sell cheese and chocolate if you need a snack. They also have a bathroom and a pretty view outside, so definitely worth the stop for any of the above reasons!

One of the nicest wineries in western Iowa. A quick 30 minute beautiful drive through the Iowa countryside from Omaha. Lovely tasting room with delicious wines, try the Rhubarb before it sells out!

LOVE this winery! Very cute atmosphere, AMAZING service, and awesome wine! I recommend this place. I had soooo much fun getting to know the employee. You get 5 free tastings. Their wine is all so good, it was hard to choose what to buy! We were driving home to Indiana from vacation and just happen to see the sign for this place on the highway. So happy we stopped in! Good work Breezy Hills! You guys rock the wine business!!

Visiting family in Council Bluffs and thought we'd support a local winery. Google Maps lists the open time at 10am. Large sign out front states Tue open 11am. We arrived at 11:45 to find a locked door and "sorry we're closed" sign. Looked like a nice patio to drink wine if only they served it. Won't be back. WILL tell everyone in Council Bluffs not to waste an hour drive, like we did.
