Are you even bowling without a Beer Tower?

Since we recently checked out Bowlero in Elkhorn, we figured--why not give the Council Bluffs location a spin? We arrived right at opening, and with only a few cars in the parking lot, check-in was a breeze. Not only did we get a lane, but we scored two for our group of five--talk about VIP treatment!Walking in, I immediately noticed the snack bar's ordering window--it legit looked like a food truck. So cute! The bar area was also impressive--plenty of tables and space to hang out, making it feel more like a social spot than just a bowling alley. Once we got to our lanes, we laced up our (questionably stylish) bowling shoes and got rolling. The lanes were in great condition, with plenty of oil to keep those balls spinning. We had a minor hiccup with one lane's ball return, but the staff was on it immediately--crisis averted!Bowling without drinks? Not happening. We hit the bar and ordered a Power Tower of beer--because, honestly, are you even bowling without one?--plus a Strawberry Splash margarita for me and water for my nephew. I loved that they provided a full pitcher of water with glasses instead of just one cup--hydration matters! The beer tower was huge (and a little drippy) but perfect for our three beer drinkers. My margarita? Sweet, tart, and totally something I'd order again. With a full page of signature drinks, I might make it a mission to try them all.A few frames in, we decided it was snack time. We went with the Alley Sampler--Garlic Parm wings, chicken tenders, cheesy dippers, pretzel pins, and fries--plus an extra batch of Lemon Pepper wings. Ordering was easy--I just gave them our lane number, and they added it to the tab. This location didn't have mobile ordering like Elkhorn, but it wasn't a big deal. The food took about 30 minutes, but it was worth the wait. Bowlero's chicken tenders? Elite. Also, I liked that this location swapped out the mozzarella bites for cheesy dippers--nice little switch-up from the day before. As usual, my crew attacked the food before I could snap a pic, so you'll just have to trust me on this one!Bathroom check: It could've been cleaner. Since we were there right at opening, I expected it to be spotless, but it was okay. Also, no paper towels in the dispenser--had to use the air dryer. It got the job done, so it's all good. We played five games over three hours, and at no point did we feel rushed or crowded. I can't comment on the total damage on the day since I wasn't the one footing the bill (always a plus), but the experience was solid. My bowling skills? Still questionable, so I guess I'll have to keep returning for "practice!" Would I return? 100%! Next time, I'm trying another signature drink and maybe improving my score.

My first impression of this place was wow whoever took this over gave it the much-needed facelift it deserved! As a first comer to the bowling alley, I was immediately impressed by not only the very modern, open spaced concept- many lanes, space for people to actually lounge and socialize while they're waiting their turn to bowl. Especially compared to other bowling alleys I've been to, it's much cleaner and organized than others- including restrooms. On top of that the staff were all amazing- big thanks to Debbie for making our experience even more fun!
