We work out here. Here in Omaha, a gym is necessary in meaner seasons. Means I don't have to have old man bod. I still do, but it's not due to a lack of equipment! They have the usual free weights and universal systems. They also have the bikes, stair-climbers, treadmills and rowers. And if you just want to move, but want to play it safe, there are trainers. That we can afford it is great for my limited income. It's open early, stays open late enough for me, and is always comfortable. Clean enough, too!

I am admittedly not a gym person so joining Blue Moon several months ago and then actually enjoying it is a pretty big deal. I think they cater to people like me! My mom joined after she retired to stay active and after having some knee issues and physical therapy earlier this year, I decided to join, too. On the occasions I've been there, it never really seems that busy so no waiting for equipment and feeling closed in like other gyms I've frequented. The locker room, workout room, etc. is always clean and there are handy paper towels/spray nearby to clean your area when finished. Staff is very friendly and usually greet me upon entering. The thing I like best about Blue Moon is the women's only area - it's cozy and I don't feel nearly as self-conscious as in the big co-ed area. I still don't go as often as I should/could but for $10.70 per month, it's affordable.

Great gym, especially enjoyed the small group training area and class. All fitness levels welcome and represented in class and it was super motivating. Staff was very friendly. Very clean, especially the locker rooms.

I always assumed that because Blue Moon is so cheap, its a bare bones crappy gym. You get what you pay for right? Well I became a member recently because I just want something cheap and I basically just needed access to an elliptical.I have been so pleasantly surprised by Blue Moon. This gym has been so much more than I would ever expect especially considering the low rate that I am paying. I currently also have access to a gym in midtown crossing where membership is more than 4 times what I pay at Blue Moon, however, I find that Blue Moon has more (and better quality) equipment. In addition to the wonderful selection of equipment, I also appreciate the "women only" area as well as the cleanliness of the locker rooms. But by far the best thing about this gym is that the staff are actually friendly. I've belonged to handful of gyms in Omaha and every single gym has been staffed by meatheads that spend their time oogling over girls in yoga pants and talking about how wasted they got off vodka red bulls last weekend. Blue Moon is unlike any other gym I have been too in that aspect. When I signed up for my membership, Brett was like the kindest, most helpful staff person I have ever encountered. I thought it was a fluke, but now that I have been frequenting this gym, every single staff member has been incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional. They even gave me a rose this past Valentines Day! My membership works out to be $8.25 a month. I don't even understand how they can keep the lights on with that rate, let alone give out roses on valentines day. Needless to say, I am very impressed!

Went in to cancel as I want a better gym. Was told that I would have to pay for August as well. Payment hasn't been pulled yet. I said I wanted to cancel right now and close out at the end of the term of my contract but it wasn't allowed. I will be disputing the charge with my bank and escalating from there. I'm not paying for an entire month I don't want a day after I cancelled. Apparently this business is pretty shady judging from other reviews I've read. Pay real money for a reputable gym, just not blue moon.

Scam! Never prepay! Avoid this gym at all cost! The Lincoln, Ne gym ran a prepaid promo for a year during the month of September and then closed the gym ten days later on 9/17/23 refusing to issue refunds. I am out $213.43 on 9/7/23 because Joel Potter, the owner or CEO, refuses to refund my money despite breaking the contract just ten days later on 9/17/23. He maintains that I should drive the additional five miles roundtrip to a replacement gym, Anytime Fitness. No thanks, buddy.I find it unfortunate that honest and hardworking people get scammed out of their money by shotty businessmen like this.Pennie NicklesLincoln, Ne

A way below average gym. The equipment is fine and the amenities are mediocre however the staff is not helpful at all. They don't seem to be knowledgeable as to equipment they have, how to work what they do have, adjust anything on screens, what the details are behind their "top of the line" fitness monitor, or really anything in my experience. They might as well post a sign that says don't ask because I don't know and don't really care. Been a bad experience in general. If you join don't pay for the bells and whistles just pay the low fee because you're really just getting access to equipment and no other value adds if you ask me.

Blue moon fitness has the worst and most inconvenient cancellation process I have ever seen. I moved out of state and called to cancel and was told I must write a letter to them and send it certified to cancel. That is ridiculous, just cancel my membership already. Like someone is really going to pretend to be me and make a call to cancel a gym membership. Put security questions in place if it's that big of a deal or get an online form. I should have no issues trying to verbally cancel or use email to cancel something. They need to update this policy badly! Good grief Blue Moon. You just provide grief. Thumbs down.

Moved out of Omaha & forgot to cancel my membership "IN PERSON" as is one method to do so or so they claim. When I called to cancel, I was told it was impossible to cancel over the phone & that I had to send a certified letter to HQ to do so. I did this only to realize that somehow or other, they never accept the posted certified mail. When I tracked the post, it says that the business was closed at 1:30 pm on a Friday & that the mail could not be delivered & this tracking info wont change or update. When I called the club to find out what the scam was, they told me that the office was open & that they would find out what was happening. Needless to say they NEVER called back!!The bottom line is, Blue Moon & Joel Potter it's owner is criminal & should be in jail.My next move is to contact the County Prosecutor & the SOS of NE to go after these con men. Like others have warned, be very careful when dealing with BM Fitness & all other companies that go into your acct for payment because BM isn't the only scam outfit out there!!BTW; the only method that works to stop these thieves is to contact the Fraud Dept & your bank & have them stop the payments!!Might also be helpful to contact your State Rep. & ask them to make this Fraud illegal??

Recently cancelled my membership due to not utilizing the gym because I had shoulder surgery and was unable to go to the gym (Wasn't using it regularly in the first place). After my recovery, I wanted to get back on the bandwagon so decided to get a membership (Well, attempt to anyway). When I went back in I realized enrollment fees were $100 so decided to wait until one of their enrollment sales they do frequently. The staff member didn't see if there was anything they could do to help at that point despite my reason for cancelling, which I don't have much heartburn over. After receiving a flyer in the mail for an enrollment fee of $10, thought perfect, I'll sign up again. The day after I received the flyer, I went in and the staff member did not even know a sale was going on at the time (Apparently communication is an issue). The gentleman gave me a few guest passes to use so I could at least work out until the staff is notified of the sale (the only kudos I'll give in this post, because he was polite about it). On my 3rd attempt now, went in to sign up and let them know I'd just like to get the basic membership and move along. The individual helping me then tried to up sale me to the higher level, which I declined, and said once again I had no interest in that due to having a place to work out at my workplace, just wanted something close to home. I let him know I had the flyer for $10 enrollment, at which point he then told me it was only applicable to the highest level memberships (which are only $20 anyway).... this is probably the most frustrating part. In the flyer, there was no way to identify that was the case outside of the classic "exclusions may apply" in tiny fine print which is a shade different color than the background of the flyer. The two things that frustrated me were the lack of customer service or willingness to try to help and the blatant misdirection of the sale flyer which ultimately led to me taking plenty of trips to this gym that just got me more frustrated each time I went. The staff seem to have little to no customer service training because quite honestly, it was terrible.*Side note - Was also told to leave the gym once due to wearing a cutoff... which I see multiple people wearing every single time I'm there. (I'm 5'9 and 180 lbs, not exactly the most intimidating person in the world, which is why they claimed I needed to leave)
