Black Tie and White Satin

Have purchased two prom dresses in the last two years at BTWS. It is an ideal shop for girls who want their dress to be unique and special on prom night because this shop will not sell the same dress to multiple girls from the same school. We have had one good experience with this shop, and we have had one that was far less than perfect.The dress we purchased this spring was damaged when we received it. My daughter wasn't allowed to try the dress on and we weren't given time to inspect on the day we picked it up...it is busy during prom season and the sales girls didn't want to waste time on someone who'd already purchased a dress. It was clear we weren't a priority since the sale had been made. When I contacted BTWS about my concerns over the many missing and loose beads and rhinestones on the dress we purchased, they immediately responded to my concerns and sent me a UPS label so that I could send the dress to them for repair or replacement. It was a relief to know they were able to fix this "wrong" and in a timeframe that worked for me. As upset as I was about the damaged dress (they are supposed to be brand new, after all, and specially ordered just for your daughter), I was grateful the store made things right for us. I just wish it had never happened in the first place. Thankfully, though, the store stood by their reputation and fixed what was wrong. HOWEVER: when we picked the dress up last week, it still needed repair. Whoever repaired the dress was not thorough, and I immediately noticed some loose rhinestones. After all of this trouble, you would have thought some attention to detail had been taken. This time I inspected the dress carefully and WAITED in the shop for the repairs to be made. I find this completely unacceptable.Overall, I suggest you go to BTWS on a weekday if you plan to shop for prom dresses. Expect to deal with young sales staff that don't know the product lines crammed onto the racks. Expect to wait 1-3 weeks for your dress to come in. Expect nothing over a size 6 in most dresses. Make sure you thoroughly inspect any alterations done. Thoroughly inspect all beadwork before you take the dress home. And ALWAYS be sure you leave the store satisfied...otherwise, leave the dress on the rack and go somewhere else!

Went there with my future sister in law for maids. The decore was old and dirty. The ladies were not dressed professionally. One had jeans and a jean jacket. Anotger had leggings and ugg boots. There was little selection. The lady that helped is was extremely snarky and rude. My sis in law looked at my mom and asked " what do you think about this gown?" Before she could even respond, the lady looked at my Mom and said "Well you are just the mother of the groom so you should keep your mouth shut!" Wow what service? NEVER stepping foot in there again!

Black Tie White Satin made my wedding dress shopping a WONDERFUL experience. We are having an Old Hollywood themed wedding; so I was looking for a particular style of dress, and was not finding it in Omaha. My sister suggested Black Tie White Satin, and I figured it was worth checking out. It was the best decision I could have made regarding my Big Day. I walked in, and right away was welcomed. I told the sales rep what I was looking for, and we were off running around the store grabbing dresses off the racks for me to try on. Of course I found THE dress, and was incredibly pleased to know that the prices are extremely reasonable. The service from here on out was impeccable. They are not pushing a sale in any way. The dress was ordered and arrived within the time the girls at the shop said it would. My fittings were easy and stress free, and the alterations were perfect. Since my family lives out in CA, and were not able to be there when I tried on my dress or any of the fittings, the employees were more than accommodating in allowing me to take pictures of the dress. I will definitely recommend this shop to all brides. I truly appreciate all that they did for me and I can't wait to rock my gorgeous dress at our wedding!

I reached out to the store to have a bridesmaid dress altered. I couldn't buy it there (even though they carry the style) because all of the dresses needed to be cut from the same material. Mind you, I have have purchased all 4 years homecoming and prom dresses from them (including shoes and accessories), not to mention my wedding dress and 5 bridesmaid dresses. When I asked for assistance, I was told no, they do not have time to do an alteration for me, even though I have spent $1000's in their store. The wedding is not until October, 6 months away. I was still told no. Fantastic customer service! I will make sure all family and friends in the area know. Will also make sure my sister who is getting married does not purchase her dress or bridesmaid there either!
