Big Red Neighborhood Grill & Sports Bar

This is one of our go-to spots for Lunch during the week.Teachers get a discount with ID, and the service is usually pretty friendly. I was surprised to see we were the only table for lunch, but the food was tasty. The TVs and vibe of the restaurant make it a great spot to catch a game, but it is rather small so get there early on game days. My Ruben was delicious, and the tots with ranch were the perfect touch. My coworker ordered the beyond burger, and said it was tasty. Her cheese on her burger did look a little off- like overdone, and she said she couldn't taste it. Otherwise, the food was just fine!

First time trying Big red. It was alright but didn't wow me. The food was fine but lackluster. The burger was over cooked (not quite burned but nearly) and the fries were flavorless. No seasoning. I asked for extra crispy fries and they came out still a bit under my preference. Quality wise it like they use a good amount of frozen items. They did a nice job on the salad though...fresh lettuce and veggies. The service was ok. Side salad came out 30 seconds before the entree. The timing of the check was pretty bad. I had put out my credit card on top of the slip proactively on the table, but the server processed it (which needed a signature and a tip selection) right there while all three of us were actively eating. My husband and I literally had sandwiches in our hands and had to stop eating to do it. Just not ideal. The interior is nicer than what I'd expect for a sports bar. Faux leather swivel chairs and dark wood tables. I think the place is about a year old so everything is still in good condition.

Great Service with a fantastic staff!Food is above average bar food which is hard to find!Moderate noise, but still quite enough to have a conversation without yelling.

Gave this a try and it was a pretty average meal. Nothing to write home about but I suppose for a sports bar you shouldn't be expecting a five star meal. It was fine for what it was but I probably wouldn't return again. Okay if you're hungry in the area. (The toast was the best part!)

I don't hear a lot about this place so I thought I would mention Big Red off of 156th and Ida. Bar food yes but good bar food. Loud yes but friendly staff. Lots of tables that could be pushed together easily for larger groups. Oh and they have ice cold beer and frosted mugs so yes yes yes!

Average at best. I ordered the chicken philly and while it came out incredibly fast, it was not visually appealing by any means. Very little chicken, or veggies, cheese was only on one part of the sandwich. Looked like someone was in a big hurry to slap it together. Probably won't go back.

Had an impromptu day date with the wife, and suggested that we try out the new Big Red that's just down the street from us. The decor is welcoming, new, and they definitely didn't slack on the TVs. The food was great. I apologize that the pictures do not do it justice. I, as well as my wife couldn't even finish the sandwiches we ordered they were that big. The service team are absolutely great, extremely friendly and helpful. While it's our first time at this location, I doubt it's our last. Make sure to drop in and give this new location a shot. It might just be your new go to!

My first time here was fantastic. We came for the husker game so obviously it was busy - but our server stopped by many times to take our food and drink orders. Even had another server walking around with Jell-O shots and what not. Unfortunately but predictably the skers lost but that interfere with our good time. We had three apps and they were all fantastic. There aren't rewriting any sports menu, it's bar food! Cold frosty mugs, drink specials and hot yummy food, what else could you ask for. Additionally they've got keno and sports, it's a great neighborhood bar. I can't wait to come back just for drinks.

Great food and great service. It's new so I think they're still working on some kinks. We ordered their pork tenderloin sandwich, southwest chicken salad and.... wait for it.....creme brulee cheesecake. The pork tenderloin sandwich was just okay. The southwest chicken salad was amazing. The Creme Brulee cheesecake was one of the best things I've ever tasted. I'm a huge cheesecake fan and this was right up with the top 5 I've ever had. The service was really good, food came out fresh and quick. Overall good experience a d we can't wait to come back!

My family and I have stopped in a few times since they opened and have always had a great experience. They have accommodated us when we stopped in with 10 people including 4 kids and the service was timely and accurate. Our server was attentive and friendly. It's very family friendly. I've had a few items off the menu but my favorite is the buffalo chicken wrap. It's full of quality ingredients and a good size.
