This wine and spirit store has character, being next to the Elkhorn Post Office, off the 204th near Maple. This was my first visit to this liquor store, lots of local beers and selection of snacks and cigars. My goal was to buy a gift card for my next door neighbor who helped repair a few broken sprinkler heads in the front lawn, from the brutal winter conditions this past season. The young man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. I was surprised Big Dog had their own gift cards. The store is in an older strip mall but inside, the store is bright and clean. This quaint store has a personality of its own and I will be visiting this place again.

Great service. They have everything you need. Quick in and out with their help. They also make great suggestions. Offer to carry out if needed.

Big dog is great. Josh and Nikki will do whatever they can to make sure you get what you want. They deliver. And without fail, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Their micro brew selection and wine is not the best but they have the basics. As for liquor they seem to have it all. Nice to have a place to go close to home!

Got a specialty keg from them for the 4th and had to get the tap from another entity. Keg / tap combo didn't work. In an emergency, swung back to get two more kegs since people were over and was told they would refund me for the original. Returned ALL kegs (one) full and was greeted by the rudest comments by the owner stating "it's no longer a free keg" despite no instructions to keep it on ice were given. There was zero attempt for ANY concessions to make the miscommunication any better, just blame solely placed on us. I've spent thousands over the years here but never again, not another dime. Sad state of affairs in Elkhorn!

Not consumer friendly. They practice price gouging on any bottles they deem "coveted". The Bourbon prices especially are ridiculous. I can wrap my head around secondary prices on highly sought after bottles, but they price gouge on stuff that is easy to get at msrp around town. It's actually really confusing, because they don't actually have any hard to get bottles on the shelf.
