My family and I have been going to Bellevue Optical for years. They have a great, very clean location and excellent staff. They're always happy to work with me if I need to reschedule an appointment. The eye doctors are very professional and personable. They also have a wonderful assortment of frames choices too.

Waited at counter while staff gossiped in the back. One even made eye contact while not acknowledging my presence. Eventually someone made their way out to begrudgingly help me. I simply asked for my prescription and left instead of ordering contacts like I planned.

I went in to look for a pair of glasses. No one asked me if I needed help for about five minutes, even though the store was dead. When someone did ask me if I needed help she was rude. I asked if they had a certain kind of glasses and she abruptly told me that they did not carry the brand. I then asked if they could order the glasses for me and she said she would "rather not do that". Finally, I asked if they were running any sales and she simply said no, and that there would not be any sales. This sales associate seemed more like she wanted me to leave than purchase a pair of glasses. Simply put, this store seems to have poor customer service and I would suggest finding another place to shop for eyeglasses.

I have been going to them for years. I had my lasik done there almost 15 years ago. I now need glasses for some things. Getting my eyes checked was great but when purchasing glasses I was not impressed. After purchasing I had to wait longer than told (14 days and I called the 20th business day and the employee said "oh yea there in") and found that the same glasses were offered cheaper at other stores and even more online. A few months later I received a bill because they didn't bill to my insurance, they got it corrected but having to spend time to fix there mistake isn't ideal. Last after having my glasses for 6 months I had a scratch appear on the lenses not sure how so I took them in since they were under warranty. When I got there they looked in the computer and asked if I bought them there (seriously?) once they verified I was a customer they told me we will order you new lenses be here in 10 days. Took 23 business days to get in. Have since gone to Pearl vision and not near the issues.

I really like the eye doctors affiliated with this place, but I don't like the eye glasses area on the side. The woman selling me the glasses was extremely pushy, my insurance didn't cover it so I didn't want to spend a lot out of pocket. At one point, she was pushing these over priced, enormous glasses that I did not like. She was trying to get me to buy what she liked, rather than what I wanted. When I would find a pair that I liked, she would say 'Well I don't like them, but that's just me.' I had to interrupt her and continue looking because she had started writing up an order for a pair I didn't like that much. For the amount of money I was spending, I felt like I should at the very least like them. The receptionist at the Doctor's said she would help me get the information necessary to contact my insurance regarding reimbursement, but she just told me to call my insurance. She was extremely pushy and I almost left with something I hated. She charged me for some coating for my glasses that she never told me about, explained, etc. It was $150 for some coating she never even explained, I only noticed when I looked at the form for my insurance. I felt like she slid that price in without consulting me, and it felt like an extra expense. It's most definitely not money I will get back from them. I will not return to this place, it's very expensive and I didn't feel comfortable in my buying experience or with the associate.

Should have read Yelp review before changing eye doctors and selecting Bellevue Optical to fill my prescription. High priced glasses that you might expect from a "one hour" place. But beware, after they've got your money you can expect below average communication and customer service.The exam itself and folks on that 'exam' side of office were average. The eye wear side of the office on the day I selected my lenses and frames was on the range of good to very good. I spent over $400+ on 1 pair of single vision glasses and matching clip-on sun glasses and was assured that my glasses would be ready in a week to 10 days. I called after 7 business days to check on the status of my glasses as no contact had been made by Bellevue Optical. During that call they said "they should be in next week", which was not ideal as I really needed them before I left on a long driving trip which I told them about when I ordered them. When I returned from my long driving trip (sans glasses) I was told that there'd been some issue with my order and the soonest I could expect to have them would be the following Monday. What really chaps me the most is the lack of any accountability or communication of the delay. If I hadn't actually gone into the office I'm not sure they'd have called to give me an update because it didn't seem like anyone knew how long it had been since they were ordered. One of the two gals I spoke with in the office seemed like she could have cared less that I was inconvenienced and didn't even try to escalate getting them done any sooner. She basically had a "it sucks to be you attitude". To say the least this will be the last pair of glasses that we'll be buying from this place. As a family, this was the 3rd pair so far in the past 12 months so I guess being a new but repeat customer is not something they're concerned with. When leaving I informed them that I planned to leave a Yelp review and they didn't seem to even know what that was. Maybe I should e-mail this to their office manager and owner so they can understand what's going (or not going) on in their establishment.
