Title: "Deceptive Pricing, Unreliable Quotes"My cash-strapped son sought a Jetta battery replacement at Baxter VW. Despite receiving one price over the phone, the actual cost upon arrival was considerably higher. This deceptive pricing practice is regrettably common in the auto service industry. It's disheartening that businesses choose such tactics over transparent and honest dealings with customers. A disappointing experience, and a reminder to be cautious when dealing with Baxter VW.

My son took his vw in for service because it was having trouble starting. They made him an appointment and he took the car in when it was scheduled only for them to tell him they OVER BOOKED & couldn't service the car. He could leave it with them for A WEEK and they'd TRY to get to it, but couldn't promise anything. He took the car to Omaha Car Care and they solved the issue quickly and for less than half of what Baxter VW wanted to charge.He gave Baxter one more chance with the vehicle and they tried to tell him that in addition to the service they performed, he only had 2mm of the brake pads left and needed an additional $500 in brake service. My son took the car to OCC to have that verified. They checked and found 16mm of brake pads left. They said the brakes were "like new"!! - This is the SECOND time I've heard of the same scam from the same shop. They tried to pull the same thing on my boss' wife a few months ago. DO NOT TRUST BAXTER SERVICE CENTERS!!

My car received an improper oil change at a different dealership and I ended up bringing my Volkswagen here to be fixed. I worked with Brandon and Alex and they were nothing short of phenomenal. They answered all of my questions and were engaged with listening to my concerns to solve them. My car was fixed in a timely manner and I felt like my service was made a priority. From now on I will always go to this location for any service needs. These two are awesome!! I highly recommend using both of them.

Great experience! Mark Austin was my salesman and he was terrific. 1st time buying a car on my own and also from out of state. I live in KC and was communicating with Mark on the phone for a few weeks until I was able to come look at it. When I got to Omaha all the staff in the dealership were very friendly. Sasha helped with the financing and we were out of there in a few short hours. There are a few very small chips that I asked to be covered so we set up an apt. for when I'm in town next. I've loved everything about the car so far! Mark was very knowledgeable about all the different tech specs and gave me a great run down on everything in the car.

Be careful when going here for service. It took a really long time even with an appointment. Asked for 3 things, an oil change, tire rotation & diagnosis of a noise. The tire rotation I paid for was not even performed, the oil may have been changed but I did not get a new filter with the oil change. As far as #3. We'll some things need to be fixed yes but paid for services that were NOT fully rendered. Now I will take to a trusted mechanic to fix some issues. Here's a tip mark your tires then you know! Otherwise Avoid this place!!!!!

BUYER BEWARE. I purchased a certified used vehicle (Kia Optima SXL Turbo) from Baxter Volkswagon on 1/20 of this year. I left the car there for them to do some finishing work for about 3 days. When I came to pick up it up, before I made it out of the parking lot a headlight burnt out and then TPMS light came back on (it was on when I initially looked at the car.) I gave it back to them and they kept it for another 2 weeks to replace the headlight assembly and fix the TPMS sensors. TPMS light was on again within an hour of picking it up, I called and they said it was probably because it was cold. They had said the car had 4 brand new tires, turns out one of them had a slow leak. Fine. I can get a tire repaired, no big deal. Fast forward to Monday 3/3 this week. I've now had the car in my possession for 3 weeks. Check engine light started flashing and it started making a crazy sound. I pulled over and had it towed to my mechanic, who said it was an internal engine problem and to take it to the Kia dealership. H&H Kia confirmed the engine was blown. Thankfully Kia will replace the engine with their warranty, but I still have to pay $700 for all the hoses and belts, and another $300 for them to properly replace the TPMS sensors since Baxter failed to do so. I'll be having all future work done at H&H.A pre owned vehicle should be thoroughly inspected and serviced to the highest standards to be considered "certified." The only thing Baxter sold me was a certified LEMON.

Great Experience with the service dept at Baxter LaVista. We were driving our Tiguan through Ohama on a trip and our EPC light came on and we had a loss of power. We pulled off the HWY and found Baxter VW and spoke with Cody. He was helpful and gave us good advice and told us to bring in our car. We were dropping it after hours on a Friday night and he said he would have someone look at it Sat morning and call us. When we dropped the car there were no envelope to put our keys in. An employee names Caleb said he would go inside and get one and he came back with the envelope filled out. He didn't have to do that, but it was appreciated and helped us greatly. As promised Cody did have someone look at our car and he called is by 10am Saturday morning as promised. Amazing service and amazing employees you have at Baxter. They helped us and did exactly what they said. I know that this should be the norm, but it is not and I usually don't write reviews but felt compelled to let people know of our experience. Both of these employees go the extra step to help the customer and this is impressive. I wish I lived in Omaha so I could take my car to Baxter VW.
