Barry's Bar & Grill

We had a lot of fun here before a recent Nebraska game. Service was a bit slow but they were slammed.The rooftop has great views of the stadium and fun music.We ordered a few apps and more drinks in the air conditioning downstairs and didn't have any issue getting a table.I recommend for a pre game place to party!

The rooftop looked so promising from the street. We walked into an empty downstairs bar, the bartender pointed us to the stairs. The rooftop was lightly populated, so we perused the menu and waited on a server. Then we popped on Yelp to see multiple reviews informing us that no server was coming. So we used the nice rooftop ambience to look up where we'd really be going for supper. We headed back down through the still empty bar and exchanged pleasantries with the same bartender who didn't seem curious why we were leaving a few minutes later.Maybe it's a game day thing, or school in session thing. Definitely not an early August, in town for work training, trying to find a nice meal and nice place to eat thing.

Security is ridiculous at this place. They all have little man syndrome and they treated us like trash accusing us of hiding bottles in our pants after they had patted us down. Mind you we hadn't even entered the bar at this point and it was around noon still so we hadn't even been drinking yet. They are all on an insane power trip for a bar with bad bland food and slow service. With so many better bars in the area I don't know how this place is still open.

The rooftop ambiance is the only nice thing I could say about this place. We ordered food & it took almost 45 minutes to get to us & it tasted like microwaved tv dinners. I ordered wings & they weren't that good, then our server forgot my onion rings & that took another 10-15 minutes to get to me & they were bland & disgusting. I ordered only one drink & it didn't taste like the bartender knew what they were doing whatsoever. I went to wash my hands at the bathroom roof top and noticed there wasn't any soap so I asked the nearest worker at the bar and she just said "oh I don't think we have any" with no type of urgency, problem solving skills or desire to get more soap. I had to go back downstairs to wash my hands. I'd give this place 0 stars if I could.

Went to rooftop, no one greeted us or brought menus after approximately 15 minutes. Had to go to bar and ask for menus. Their were two workers at the bar. Returned to table and decided that with two tables with about eight patrons at each table they were too busy for two new customers. Left and went to another restaurant. This was about 630PM on a Thursday. Mentioned to staff downstairs that no service was "available" upstairs.

We were literally the only people there, had to go to bar where staff was all sitting talking and on their phones to get refills. Food bad, homemade chips very burnt, fries extremely floppy and chicken strips super small and very very flat(think they forgot the chicken) if going for food, don'tBathrooms look like haven't been cleaned for months

Spent $300+, had bottle service and spent 5 hours here. 2 of the girls went into a restroom together because one wasn't feeling well. Apparently they have a rule one in the bathroom at a time. So security kicked us out for that. Rudely told us "Throw your drinks away and leave!" After spending hundreds of dollars, they RUDLEY kick us out for sharing a bathroom. Never going back.

at my recent visit, i got a vodka redbull at the rooftop bar. The bartender was rude and very dismissive. It was still early where the bar was not busy either. Since she was rude to me, I decided not to tip her. When I checked my bank account the next day. She decided to leave herself a 129% tip. I just let it go because she probably needed more than me but just beware of this ! I tipped everything else I went that night but barry's service just sucked.

It's definitely a college bar.. It's a good night out,but suggest bringing a group or crowd bartenders don't interact with you. Definitely something off about the place. My first impression its staff was kinda stand-off or not rude just casual vibes. Then Ambiance was short of expectation definitely from all the places in the Haymarket its identity as Bar and Grill. My first thought was a Sports Bar and Grill. Roof deck was good and the Roof top Bartender was engaged in conversation with someone and did ask the right question. Caylen was working effectively on his task and showed excellent service but when asked about when Kitchen closes no clarity on time was given except response of 9:30 or 10pm . I'll visit again to see if the ambiance is different. Fried Pickle Chips were really good and spicy.

Security here sucks. Makes up excuses to kick people out. Do they not want business????? When an entire group of people go in, the bouncers picks out specific men to pick out to keep/ pick out to keep in, a non-white women, I've never experienced a bar that treats it's customers like they don't mean anything. Also, I would expect a lil more respect for customers who are just trying to have fun and enjoy a fun night: it seems like this bar is more for people who pay ahead to reserve certain spots or expect to not have "fun items" slipped in their drinks( girls I'm serious plz plz plz be aware). Overall 6/10!!
