Atmosphere is awesome laid back and staff are courteous and drinks are cold. Came into town for the big game and was not disappointed with this place.

We walked by & liked the music playing outside, so we went in around 8pm on Saturday night. The bar was 1/2 full with 3 wait staff. We sat in the far back table/booth that seats 8-perfect for our group. Our waitress came over quickly to take our order-I don't think there's a drink menu here-we just went with our norm! When we asked for a Scooby Snack Shot, she wasn't sure how to make it, but assured us the other staff member did & she was right! Our service was fast & our drinks never empty! There's room to dance in the front entry way, although I'm not sure it's a designated dance area. We just joined the crowd to dance, which was a lot of fun!Great downtown Omaha bar!

Growing up, I only knew Barry O's as the place where the patrons used to vomit on my father's office stoop. But that was 20+ years ago, and the bar is still going strong. (The office has since moved, so no word if the vomit party continues). We stopped at Barry O's as part of the Crawl for Cancer this year and during our visit somebody played "Let it Go" (yes, from the movie Frozen) on the juke. It was about 2pm on a Saturday - I think - and it was amazing. Will I be back to Barry O's? You bet!

I brought my dog to the bar and was not sure if their dog policy was still in effect. The bouncer informed me yes and I had a wonderful time at the bar. The staff are friendly and my dog got lots of hugs and kisses from the patrons. I will be returning as long as The bar allows me.

Stopped in with my husband while staying a night in the city. We're from Sioux City, IA. We stopped in because it's image is an 'Irish Bar.' It looks like one, bit they were playing some really hippie-ish music. And the place kind of smells like a bathroom. Like pee that's been cleaned up with bleach. Had service right away. Good tv's. Ok prices, but we're used to small-town bar prices. We came on a Monday night, so small crowd. All hipsters. We just had our one round.

A buddy and I were visiting Omaha and looking for places to grab a beer. A Google search turned up a lot of reviews trashing Barry O's, so we had to find out why for ourselves and decided to head on in.Unfortunately we didn't get to find out. (Or did we?) The place was so packed that we couldn't get anywhere close to the bar. My buddy had better luck than me, making it to within a few feet, but after ten minutes he was unable to get the attention of a bartender so we gave up and left.I've been to too many other bars that were just as packed and had only one bartender yet been served in moments, so that's just not an excuse.

Barry O's was my second stop and second disappointment in the Old Market on a Saturday night. After leaving another "Irish Pub" (There are no "irish Pubs" in the OM just FYI) because it was too crowded we decided to stop here because it wasn't ridiculously busy. I may come back, I may not, really depends on how the night is going. So we walked in and it literally smelled like a port-a-potty. I don't know why. My buddy said the same thing when we first walked through the door "Why does it smell like a toilet?" Yeah that was a pretty big turn off for me. It took me about 10 minutes to order a beer while two bartenders screwed around talking to each other slowly making some cocktails for a couple girls and the other bartender with sunglasses on at night stood there not seeing that we didn't have drinks (probably because he's wearing sunglasses inside at night). Definitely the most expensive Boulevards I have ever ordered. The inside is kind of neat I guess besides the smell. We sat next to a local and were able to chat with him for a little bit and the one female bartender (who was pretty cute by the way) was very nice. Not my best experience ever but I might find myself here again.

My first time at Barry O's was after playing in a rugby match against Barry O'Halloran himself. He'd probably owned it for a year or two. A fine lad and great host. At the time, one of the few places in the area with Guiness on tap.A great vibe that comes by its Irish roots legitimately. Always worth a stop when I'm through the area.
