The park is in a great location and so far our experiences is good with it. Fiona has met a lot of her furfriends there and it's good to keep her actively running around. The only thing that I would comment is that the park can be very packed sometimes as it's not that big, and sometimes there's some waste that wasn't being picked up by owners so that's not that good part.

This is a smaller dog park in an urban setting. There are many apartments around, so it's a convenient location for apartment dwellers to bring their dogs to exercise. It's grassy, flat, and has some play structures for dogs. Note: the structures are for dogs, not kids. With all the eating places in Aksarben Village, people might be tempted to bring in food. This is a no-no except for very small dog treats. Speaking of very small, there is a big dog area and a small dog area. Also, as with all dog parks, people are expected to pick up after their pets. Bags are available for that, and trash bins too. Most of the dogs and people are well-behaved, but that can change so dog owners should be attentive to their dogs. The dog park is a real asset to Aksarben Village.

Great dog park right next to Aksarben village. Like many dog parks, they split the areas into small dogs and large dogs. They also have a series of entrance gates just in case a dog slips in behind you as you're leaving. Safety first! They have several benches around the outside of the park as well as an awning with some shade, perfect for those hot days. There are several water dishes you can fill up with the hose that's provided. Several trash cans for pet waste, and tons of tennis balls. Even a couple rope toys.

The main perk of this dog park is the great location in the Aksarben area. It was a fun to have our dog burn off some energy, then walk over to the Inner Rail and enjoy a beer and appetizer. My 3-star rating is due to the size of the park (on the small side) and lack of shade. On cooler days, this would likely be fine, but the park faces west and on summer afternoons it is a bit uncomfortable.

I took Lokai to this dog park after having a meal at Inner Rail. Lots of dogs running around, most are well-behaved as well as their parents/humans. Rules are posted outside the fence and what I liked was the double gate entrance to make sure any dog entering or exiting has a lower chance of running off. Poop bags are on major sides of the fence but it still was obvious people weren't following the rules of cleaning up after their pets. It wasn't bad but I counted a few spots that people failed to clean up near the sides of the fence. The water bowls concept is not well set up, located as you walk in through the last gate. The wood chip ground surface allows you to clean up more easily than grass or dirt. I'm also glad they separate small dogs from the bigger dogs. Signs for dogs bigger than 30 lbs will go to the smaller fenced area compared to the bigger area for larger pets. Overall, Lokai had a good time and that was the main point of getting him tired.

This park is awesome. It has what I call "dog furniture' on both the small and large dog side to give the dogs something to do. Its a great addition to the growing Aksarben area and is conveniently located for both locals and visitors. We recently had a picnic in Aksarben, which was much calmer due to the fact that we were able to let the dogs get a lot of their energy out ahead of time. The only thing I didn't enjoy about the park is the fact that it is located so close to a parking garage that dogs' barks create an echo, something my little dog took full advantage of the first time we went. Overall this is one of my favorite dog parks in Omaha and I can't wait to enjoy it in the spring and summer.

I have been using this dog park about 2 months, and at first it was okay.My dog isn't much interested in playing with other dogs, so I go to a far corner and throw a ball or a tire for mine. Then the aggressive dogs started showing up, with owners who didn't care to control them. (I had one owner the other day that bragged about two huskies that are notorious for attacking dogs and how he didn't mind it, whilst his dog attacked one running by- it had hair in its mouth!) I do mind the kids and parents that come in there to play catch, worrying about aggressive dogs with careless owners, or owners who threat their dogs like babies and get upset if a dog wants to play with them.Lots of cliques there- be careful about that. My issue is more with the people than the dogs- I know of one that was so badly damaged by another that it cost them nearly 1k in expenses at the emergency vet. Because of all of these issues, I am going to look for someplace else to take my dog, unless they institute a sign in sheet...
