Bärchen Beer Garden

Fun place and great place to enjoy a beer outside and play games with friends. The beers were good and cold. We didn't have any food but the menu looked. We had a bunch of drinks margaritas, old fashioned, and the shotopus. All were a bit off and not balanced well. I would say stick to beer here it's definitely more of the focus. I liked the shotopus it was a fun way to get a bunch of different shots. Service was great really attentive and friendly. They were happy to offer a suggested alternative when they were out of something.

This is one of our go to when we want German beer, and it never disappoints. Their appetizers (hummus is my favorite) are good, but sometimes there are changes to their menu so it's hard to say what's good and what not. This last time I went with the Ruben that was really good. Their potato salad was decent, but I think next time I'll try a different side.

First time here. Actually first time in this Benson area. Barchen is a great place. I didn't hangout at the beer garden since I was by myself. I sat at the bar just shortly after opening. Friendly bartender. German beer was great. My food came out amazingly fast since I was the only one there at that time.Burger was great. If I had more time, I would have stayed for more beers. I also love that more than half of their taps are German beers.

Went here for a date night on their weekly trivia night. The host was fun and there were a number of teams there. The drinks were tasty. They have a large beer selection with a good list of cocktails. The pretzels are always delicious and perfectly made. They come with a side of mustard and cheese. We had a great night and will be back for more drinks and trivia!

Great spot in Benson for a beer and to catch a football match (Liverpool Bar). I have come up here for everything from World Cup matches (good luck finding a seat), to Friday nights for a pint. Always great service, and a ton of choices for German/Belgian and local beers. In addition to probably the best burgers in Omaha (no joke, they're that good), they also offer different shareable plates and sausages. Back patio is great in the summer time, and also has a small bar to order from. Only drawback is beers are $10-20 and food offerings are $12-20, with no happy hour. Great neighborhood spot for a pint!

Great service delicious German beer. Pretzel was not up to expectations too bready. Burgers are excellent

I've been to Barchen many times but the past visit was during their Oktoberfest celebration. It was a ton of fun, and the food was delicious (as always). We had the Hammer Pants Fries and Pretzel (and lots of beer!) The Hammer Pants Fries were topped with shredded pork, beer cheese, and a chipotle aioli. It was so tasty, with all the ingredients playing off each other perfectly. I'm still dreaming about it!The homemade pretzel comes in two big braids, and with some scrumptious beer cheese dip along with German mustard (I get two beer cheeses, as I'm not a big mustard fan :-P)They also have TONS of different beers so there's something for everyone. If you're in for something stronger than beer, they offer the Shotctopus which is eight shots to share with the table!The staff was wonderful, as always, and very patient with the million people who were there for Oktoberfest. The bar itself is a lot of fun with a huge beer hall inside and an outdoor patio (that had a great polka band when we were there for Oktoberfest).It can be a bit busy, but I would definitely recommend stopping here for a game, drinks, or tasty food (or all three!)

The pimento burger and fries were delicious, and so was the pretzel and to start! Nice chill environment.

ABSOLUTELY mouth watering food. As a teacher who spent over 5 hours working on things with for her upcoming Christmas concert, ALL of the food hit ALL of the spots for me and my fiance. I got the crispy chicken sandwich with a side of fries, smoked pimento dip with peta crackers, and the coffee martini. Our server was super accommodating with my allergies and SUPER nice and easy to talk to. It was our first time and it was a very enjoyable experience and definitely want to go there again when I'm in Benson.

Looking for a good selection of German beer? You found the place. Looking for good food? Well, let's talk. This review is based on a Friday evening visit for dinner. The two of us each had a half liter of beer, Kristalweissbier for him, 1516 Kellerbier for me. It's our go-to beers. Always fresh and delish. The food: Bärchen (pronounced bear-shin) has appetizers that are a meal. The Hammer Pants Fries is not only something to giggle about when you say it, it's awesome. Very good fries topped with roasted pork, beer cheese (not too much, just right), chipotle aioli, cilantro, and pickled red onion. The onions were missing on this visit, but whatever. This is so tasty. Fun to eat and very filling. A woman seated next to me had it as her meal. We also shared the Barchen Burger, which is two patties of Imperial Wagyu Beef, with Gouda cheese, pickles, a spicy sauce and pickled onions. OH MY GOODNESS! Their hamburgers are always so flavorful, tender, and moist. I am rarely impressed by hamburgers because a burger is a burger. Not here. It's a must get if it's your first visit. I'll also add that their Nashville Hot Chicken is out of this world delicious too. I have had it at previous visits. I downed and enjoyed every morsel, every bite. IT IS SPICY!
