We were passing through and decided to stop. This place looks divey on the outside but that is not the case on the inside. The food was so good. I recommend the cheese curds and the wings as well as anything to dip in the delicious honey mustard dressing. Service was excellent. They also have keno and a small gift shop.

Service was alright for as busy as they were. The food was as expected for a sports bar. It was crowded and we were seated right by the kitchen/walkway. Will try them again sometime.

OK We were looking for someplace different in Grand Island and here it is. French dip and The top of the line club sandwich both with fries were our choices along with 2 draft beers. The place was hopping on this Labor Day all locals in casual dress. Nothing pretentious here. Friendly efficient wait staff. Plenty of sports TV. Try it as an alternative to everything else in town.

Does anyone else find it absolutely disgusting that they stack baskets and food on top of each other when they carry them out to you? How is that not a health code violation??? Would you want a basket that was cleaned god knows when on the top of your food? Also the waitress carry's the food directly under their face breathing all over the food. Get a tray for goodness sake.

I went to Balz when I had some time to kill. I got 2 large bud lights and 2 different kinds of wings.When you first walk in it is overwhelming how many TVs there are, which is not an issue, its amazing. There were probably 15 different games on. the waitress was cute and very accommodating. I wanted a specific game on so she tried about 10 channels 3 different times and was really awesome.My first wings were garlic, these were really really good, the waitress said they are just regular wings rolled around in garlic, so I am guessing the regular are really good too.Second ones were Teriyaki and not as good, but still ok. I liked how it came with a decent amount of celery and carrots. I am not a huge ranch fan, but they give you a bottle and you can use as much as you want

Stopped in here while waiting on a flight to come in. They have a great sized bar as well as lots of seating. When you first walk in, it may not appear that way but as you walk around and off to the right, you will see more seating as well as some outdoor seating (my guess for those who want to smoke? or just enjoy the outdoors) so it is great for a small or large group. Lots of tvs as you would expect for a sports bar.The had some happy hour specials that include bone in wings, potato skins, nachos, and fried shrimp. I believe their potato skins and shrimp were $.50 each and they were good. Their nachos were not very good in our opinion. The taco meat tasted more like a chili so I wasn't overly pleased with that. However, their fried green beans were pretty yummy.I was disappointed that they couldn't make a martini but I guess you'll have to stick with basic bar fare drinks of beer and well combinations. Overall the service was very good and the food was decent for standard bar fare.

When I walked into Balz for the first time this past summer I thought the atmosphere was amazing with tons of games and T.V. entertainment. The service could have been better but it was understandable seeing that it was a hectic Saturday rush. The 12 oz boneless wings for only 9.95 are not only delicious but very affordable at the same time. The drinks are also very affordable at 1.99 for unlimited refills. Balz also is one of the few bars that serve both Coke and Pepsi products.
