Backswing Brewing

We are on beer testing, short time. Hmm, no oatmeal stout here either. Unusual for both places we been and a favorite ot mine. This is real good also. As our previous test brewery. We like. No foods here either but scheduled food trucks.

First visit here! It's small, but cozy. Sit right next to the brewhouse! Great service... with free snack mix as soon as you order a beer. They also offer beer cocktails & guest taps& wine!! It's off the beaten track but worth the time! Definitely will be back!!

Backswing is a new addition to the Nebraska brewing scene. On the way to there, I realized I had been to this location before but at that time, Blue Blood sat in this space. They had five of their own beers on tap including two IPA's, Wheat, Brown, and an Oatmeal Stout. I had a flight of all but one of the IPA's. Of the beers I tried, the Oatmeal Stout was my favorite. I learned that it's also their top seller the night before during their grand opening. The Brown Ale was a little different than I expected. I drink a lot of nut browns so the fact that this one had a chocolate. It was tasty and my second fav of the bunch. I'm not a big IPA fan but found it to be pretty drinkable. The Wheat was solid but not great. I suspect that in the future, they will have other brews available.

Don't let the location stop you from heading out- it's a nice space with an open plan and they are dog friendly. Their beer is nice, not stand out, but well done.

Great beers and just a fun atmosphere. The owners and the staff are all very friendly. We like to go there on Thursday nights to play trivia with some of our friends. They have also done food trucks on certain days which is a nice feature. We will keep coming back for sure.

What a nice place! Really good beer and super friendly staff. It will be on the list for a visit every time we come to Lincoln.

Loved it here. I knew there was another new brewery in Lincoln, so one Saturday we sought this one out. It's tucked away in an isolated location (off of west south street) but used to be where the old Blue Blood was. I had never been to that location of theirs, so this was my first time coming here. Currently, they have five of their own taps, and several other guest taps from breweries around town. We tried beer flights of all of their taps. This included wheat, brown, oatmeal stout, and two IPA's-one that was a double IPA. I think my favorites were the double IPA and the brown ale. The brown ale was very unique with hints of chocolate. It was fun conversing with one of the owners, Pat, and another employee, as they explained the golf-related theme of the brewery (Note the backswing logo and golf tee taps). I loved the layout of this place, including the garage door that opens to the entrance and big windows that showcase the brewing area. We will definitely come back to try more brews here!

When googling Backswing Brewery, specifically in Lincoln, it was stated this brewery was dog friendly. We came for the pizza from Golden Goat but would have stayed for the beer. We are dog lovers and it's fine if this brewery is not but we would not have showed up if the internet wouldn't have said "dog friendly"Thanks.

Terrible. We drove all the way from omaha. Says its dog friendly....i came in and asked if we could sit inside or outside with our dog...they said they dont allow animals....rude and will NEVER go there

Great selection of beer, many many different ones to try. It's an excellent atmosphere every single time you go in there, my friend and I ordered a flight (my first time) and all of them were great. Owners are a bunch of good people, very happy with the bartender as well.
