I went a few months ago and was told the chiropractor could only align two of the vertebra in my neck instead of all of them so I wouldn't get a headache. This sounded odd to me, since I've always had my whole neck adjusted at one time with no problems. The day after the appointment I noticed pain and weakness in my right arm. It became bad enough that I can no longer lift weights and have to wear a brace at night. The partial adjustment on my neck pinched a nerve that runs down my arm, and multiple appointments with other chiropractors has barely helped. The convenience of a low price is not worth months of weakness, pain, and loss of feeling.

I went in wanting to know if I had a strained upper shoulder muscle and was told that was what Dr. Otto thought it was. He then proceeded to work on that, but after talking to me for a few minutes all of the sudden he yanked my neck sideways, which produced a cracking sound. I was not expecting that to happen as he had confirmed that it was a shoulder strained muscle. In the next two days the pain got worse and now my neck was extremely painful, where it hadn't been before. I ended up going to my doctor and they sent me to physical therapy. After over $500 of physical therapy my neck doesn't hurt anymore. I will never go to Dr. Otto again as it was an awful experience.

I have a chronic long term neck injury and lower back problems as well. I've been treating with Dr. Otto on at least a weekly basis for about a year now and I am very happy with both his treatment and availability! He has always listened to my concerns and kept my joints moving when they lock up and gets me back to full function which is crucial for me as I'm a full time working single mother of two teenagers. I've treated with many different chiropractors over the years and I'm a conservative treater for various reasons, but one of those reasons doesn't have to be due to cost or availability because he is available to me at times when a lot of chiropractors are not, enabling me to leave the office and still get treatment, or get treatment on the weekends, and his monthly plan keeps it affordable to me as well. I'm a litigation paralegal for an insurance defense firm, part of my job is to do the medical chronologies for car accidents, many spinal injuries, I know well the consequences of bad treatment, or overtreatment. I don't really want to know what the last year would have been like if I wasn't able to find him, or he wasn't available. I recommend him highly and think many people would benefit from regular chiropractic adjustments. If you are looking for a single treatment, or a regular new chiropractor, I recommend Dr. Lance Otto at Back In Line Chiropractic near 84th and Northern Lights. The only thing you need to be careful of is the parking lot, it's a bit tight and people drive fast around that corner. :)
