Took longer than she said and I almost missed giving the present. She had all kinds of excuses as to why it wasn't done each time I would call to see if it was done, and once I got it, it came undone and fell apart pretty quickly.

My daughter was getting married on October 3, 2020. I took Sandy my mother of the bride dress on July 30, 2020 to be hemmed. Sandy told me there were only 2 layers and the cost would be $35, she said it was an easy hem. I went to check on my dress mid September, she told me she had been busy and had not gotten to my dress yet. At that time I was with my daughter, dropping off my daughter's wedding dress for alterations, the wedding dress needed hemmed, the bussel put into place and the sleeves needed to have a system installed to hold them in place once off the shoulder. We were told to come back on September 30th to try on the dresses for another fitting. When we arrived on the 30th Sandy said she was not ready for us. She had not even started on the dresses. I made an appointment to pick up the dresses on October 2nd at 5:00, the night of the rehearsal. We were not going to be able to try our dresses on but we had faith that Sandy would get them done. When I arrived on October 2nd at 4:45 Sandy asked me for another hour. I had to be at the church a half hour away by 5:50, I could not wait any longer. Sandy had just cut off my dress and had not even started the bussel or sleeves of the wedding dress. Sandy rushed the hem through the sewing machine, did not finish the hem. Hand stitched a cord onto the dress for the bussel, which was not strong enough to hold the weight of the wedding dress and used sticky tack to attach magnets on the sleeves of the dress. The magnets were a major fail, they did not hold the sleeves at all. All of these last minute fixes were a rush job. Sandy had our dresses in plenty of time to do proper alterations on them. I would not recommend Sandy to anyone. She added additional stress to a bride and mother that was not necessary. I would also like to mention my daughters wedding dress now has permanent holes in the back due to safety pins that were used to hold the bussel once the small cord Sandy hand stitched onto the dress did not hold.
