I moved here in November 2016 from out of state. Got a job offer in Lincoln and needed a place to stay ASAP. My parents had helped me relocate to Lincoln and they actually found the place (Aventine) while driving around. They met Cynthia and she was able to get me into the apartment the same day with the first month free. Fast forward 11 months; I transferred, in the same job, to Texas. I'm not going to bore you with specifics about my life or circumstance of the transfer, but what I will say is that while my HR person was not willing to help on my behalf when it came time to move with adequate notice Cynthia was there in terms of renting month to month until the transfer came through, receiving my deposit back, and accommodating my wife and I at EVERY instance. The unit I lived in was clean, new, spacious, and easily maintained (never had to put in a maintenance work order). Lastly, what I want to stress is that it's not the property owner, the nice apartment, the pool, etc. that makes Aventine what it is; it's the people like Cynthia and the manager who really made my experience and that of my wife's one that we appreciate and won't soon forget. Thank you for your help and sincerity Cynthia and staff!

I moved in last year-ish and have enjoyed living here so much I just recently switched from a 1 bed to a 2 bed. The pool is so nice it feels like a resort. The trash service has been amazingly helpful and whenever I put a work order in it gets done with in 48 hours. The team has been nothing but helpful and kind and responsive. The apartments are beautiful and I do feel at home in them. I enjoy living here and would recommend them to anyone.

I have lived in apartments for the better part of the past 25 years. I've seen many things, but nothing like the unethical and illegal behavior this place tolerates and allows.I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but there needs to be transparency here. The property manager writes her own positive reviews of the complex, as do other company employees. These reviews appear on the website as well as social media pages. The previous manager incentivized positive reviews with gift cards (please be wary of any review around December 2021). You are also prompted to give a review after EVERY maintenance task (with ongoing pushy emails and texts) and every time you log in to pay rent. You will be fleeced with fees and threats of fees. My favorite was this, after birds lived in our dryer vents for MONTHS.. a pure health risk for everyone."(you will be charged for any service that the contractor has to come back and complete because your pet was not contained on the designated days). (We) will not be responsible if a pet gets out of the apartment during these services."Then you get emails about how NO PARKING IN NON-DESIGNATED PARK SPOTS WILL BE TOLERATED, yet the employees do it all the time, even blocking a sharp corner daily right in front of an actual garage where they could safely park. The pool never opens on time, and after seeing the water turn green this year, it was suddenly clear, open for two days, and then closed because the water was so gross you couldn't see the drain. A week later, closed again for "maintenance." Don't. Get. In. The. Pool. However, when they violate the lease and the law by forcing entry into my apartment with the required 24-hour notice, they offer no accountability of their own. I requested to move to a first-floor apartment and was outright lied to about 1. The availability of apartments, and 2. The price of the apartment. In fact, I offered three options to negotiate a fair price, and was rejected for all of them - when it turns out I would have been paying MORE for the apartment than market value if they had taken me up on two of the offers. Nothing is reasonable about accommodations here. I had to do two work tickets in two weeks to get a usable railing as I require a working handrail to handle stairs. The apartment is covered in crickets and wolf spiders, I had to abandon ship when cleaning to move out because the garage was filled with open spider eggs, and they were everywhere. Well worth the $25 fee they charged to remove one box. Also, since they were letting people into my apartment without proper consent, I had no sense of safety in my own apartment and refused to enter until I had confirmation they would abide by the lease and law, so I didn't get to clean it thoroughly. Another fee that was well worth it to guarantee my safety, but totally unnecessary as it was their error that caused the delay. Manamagent finds a reason to enter apartments just about every month, and it's always 2-3 days when you have to "contain pets" and risk a fine if you don't, yet the vendors ALWAYS don't show on time so you end up having to extend the mandatory rules, impacting lives and businesses and finances. The apartments are gorgeous, but you can hear every cabinet closing and toilet flush from all directions. When neighbors are loud and you ask for a little assistance from the office, you are told to "call the police." At one point, they were paying $250 rewards for any resident who videotaped another resident not picking up after their pets. I've had two mail delivery people express frustration that the office won't accept packages, which they have told me is illegal. Half of the doors that enter the buildings are locked shut because of wind issues and have been that way for a year with the broken doors for the past two years. Lights in the parking lot were out for half a year, leaving you blind walking through the parking lot, and then a note warning about thieves in the parking lot - SHOCKER. Lock your garage doors, too AND your car in the garage, as there have been numerous break-ins over the years. The construction noise across the street is deafening. That's another massive apartment complex going up, so keep that in mind - plus, the road noise with dirt bikes, revving engines, and speeders wake you up often if you face the roadway. The utmost disappointing part of this is with every challenge, I was open and transparent and tried to work with the team to make the community better. No place is perfect, COVID sucked for everyone, and we all needed a little grace, right? Once it was clear I wasn't going to renew the lease, it became a hostile situation, and when I expressed concerns to their corporate office, retaliatory behavior started from office management. You are nothing more than a transaction here. Lease accordingly.

I moved in right before Covid hit in February 2020. The staff has been great and always responsive. I moved here because of the size of the apartment for the price. Its such a great value and is beautiful.

This is my favorite apartment that I've lived in so far! The units are spacious and updated, pricing is competitive with other rentals in Lincoln, the neighborhood is safe and quiet, and the office staff are very friendly and are always willing to help you solve any issues.

If you want an apartment with poor construction, cheap materials, doors that wont stay open, and cheap appliances (the squeaky loud wash is normal they say! Never mind clothes come out still dirty no matter how small the load, and the dishwasher, skip trying to use it and just handwash) but pay the price of a "luxury" complex, rent here! If you love having to argue over charges that are erroneous/fraudulent (comb through each charge and watch the errors rack up), live here! If you want to be victim of staff making things up to assess fees, live here!! If you don't want the pool you pay for to be open the beginning of 2 summers (and an ugly broken fountain at the pool) live here! If you like stinky dirty hallways with trash drippings all over (from the $20/mo valet trash service you are forced to pay for but cannot use because of the limited pickup time), live here! Just kidding, do not live here. Do not give this company your money.

I love living here! As a single mom of 2 it is so nice to have such an amazing and helpful staff to help take care of things. The apartment is clean, beautiful, and close to everything. Since the post about the poop issue they have residents register their dogs so if you don't pick up after them you will be fined. There is no issues with smell anymore! Plus the valet garbage service picks up your garbage for you and you don't have to take it to the dump yourself. The perks of a huge pool and car care center don't hurt either! I highly recommend living here!

I stay here often (since my boyfriend lives here) and the place is an absolute joke! Freezing because the insulation sucks, dog poop all over outside, trash pickup sucks (you leave a small crushed up box outside your door and they won't even pick it up). Being on second floor you can hear EVERYTHING that goes on above and below you, can hear when people flush their toilet even! Nancy the office manager is not friendly either, is very rude and condescending to say the least! Long story short, wayyyyy too over priced for what you get. We are looking elsewhere to live for sure after hearing from others here that there was mold around.

I would not recommend these apartments to ANYONE! My husband and I lived at Aventine for a year, and the entire stay was HELL! The location of the apartments are prime and convenient! The apartments are beautiful, but so cheaply made. We can hear cupboards shut in apartments above, below, and next to us. We can hear conversations happening at normal voice levels outside when our widows are closed. There are paint stains all over the floors and cabinets. The doors and windows don't seal completely so cold air is continually flowing into the apartment. I could go on and on about the poor quality of these apartments. The hallways are FILTHY, covered in dog hair, trash and finger prints! These apartments are animal friendly, which is great.. BUT THERE IS DOG POOP EVERY WHERE! The staff have no idea what is going on you can ask Nancy one thing and Cynthia another and their answers never match up. The maintenance guys just sit outside the shop and puff cigarettes all day. I could go on and on about this place, save yourself the hassle and move else where!

Lived here for a few years now, always paid our rent and have two kids (one of which is just 7 months). I can honestly say the management is horrendous. We are being told our lease will not be newnewed and when asked what for we were given a amile, laughed at and told "they" didn't need a reason. Come to find out it stemmed from a review I made a while back in regards to their trash service here. So because of a less than desirable review we are supposed to move our children at the drop of a dime. Also, the complex is cheaply made, our walls are cracking, the ceiling is cracking, walls are very thin and you can hear conversations all around you. It is very over priced. Looks nice but it's very cheap and poorly built. The maintenance here is a joke and they are not prompt to fix anything at all but when they do it's broke again within a month. If you plan on living here (huge mistake) do not leave an unflattering review because words hurt their feelings.
