Austad's Golf

I've been looking for a new set of irons for a few weeks now and happened to be in Omaha over the weekend. I stopped by to do more window shopping and was welcomed by the staff as soon as I walked into the store. I was looking around and was greeted by a salesman and helped with questions. He asked if I wanted to hit any, so I took him up on the offer. He helped with my swing, changed the clubs, and helped out with an unexpected club fitting. Eventually, I ended up buying a set of irons. Two thumbs up on my experience getting my new irons.

I can't say enough good things about Barry!I came in just to re-shaft my driver and came out an hour later with a whole bucket of knowledge! Barry essentially gave me a full swing coaching, he was able to revamp my swing with only one or two hits. That man is an incredible coach. He truly has a love of the game and a knowledge base to back it up. He is a person you want to sit down and pick his brain, listen and learn from. I am truly happy I got to take a bit of his time today. Thanks Barry!

Came in to buy a bag, set of irons and drivers....two of the employees that I talked to answered some questions...but if I had a follow up question they seemed a bit put out, and seemed like they had something better to do...the whole time they were boxing and taping product to send out of the store....but if you have someone in your store...shouldn't that TRUMP your internet orders?????

This store is huge, very deceiving from the entrance. They have a large selection of golf shoes, bags, and putters. (Many more than other chains in the area) They have a great putting green and a nice simulator section where you can try out clubs. Their clothing selection is ok, but not as much as other chains. Everyone that we encountered in the store was helpful and friendly. We would definitely go back depending on what we were looking for. The store was clean and well laid out.

Purchase a driver on eBay-posting said lightly used in excellent condition. Club has scratches on face-far from excellent. Hard to deal with owner Ryan.Wants club returned before issuing credit-I do not trust them.

Received the advertisement for the sidewalk sale and went to check it out and I hoped to buy a putter. I walked in and was greeted. There were three people were behind the counter. One wearing a mask, one partially wearing a mask and the third person was without a mask. The person without the mask followed me in the store and offered to help. He was polite but I felt uncomfortable as he didn't have a mask on nor was he social distancing. I have bought quite a few clubs at Austad's but today I left without getting what I came for. My question for Austad's is why bother at all with some half hearted safety effort, either you care about the employees and customers safety or you don't.

Want customer service??? Go to Scheels. These guys at Austad's are the worst. Arrogant and rude. Was planning on buying a Scotty putter, set of Titleist clubs and a driver with them but they were jerks soooo I spent my money at Scheels.

The employees of this store exhibited the stereotypically arrogant, condescending attitude prevalent at nearly every golf store I've been in. I called to inquire about selling some used clubs. I was told they do buy used clubs, so I took the set to the store. When I arrived, the sales person I spoke with said they only take used clubs in trade. I suggested they make sure all their employees are aware of this policy. At that point, the sales person became very rude and patronizing. He did everything but call me a liar outright. He interrupted me every time I began talking until my wife finally intervened and suggested we just leave. Not only will I not recommend shopping at this or any other Austad's Golf Store, I plan on telling as many people as possible about the pathetic customer service I experienced.
