God bless her. There is a very nice lady that is trying to make a business here. She has no chance in HELL. These candles are similar to something made in the 1970s. And she has been making them for that long. Although, my 5 yo loved them. And I am nuts....but honest. sorry.

Anytime I read a review on Yelp and I notice that an established reviewer gives a place one star and then in a very short period of time after that a number of individuals with only one or two reviews to their credit gives the same place 4-5 stars, I immediately want to go and check the place out to see what the real story is. I'm naturally suspicious that a proprietor has enlisted their friends to provide a more favorable review in the face of an honest assessment, albeit perhaps not at a star rating proprietor would like. I wanted to do an honest review to see if the business owner was looking to Yelp for free advertising or if reviewer Kim J. was having a bitchy day.Having now visited the business myself, Yelp-gineering has never been more prevalent. The candles themselves are neither as awesome as the "one-review wonders" would suggest, nor are they awful. The candles are a little pricey, but they are also made by the business.Normally, I wouldn't give this place 1 star, but I have to object to people who enlist their friends to boost their star rating artificially. Actually, I am going to now start a business called Ryan, and have all my friends give me 5 stars because I think I'm fantastic. Sounds lame? Because it is lame.

I was recently in Omaha visiting an ailing relative. I love the older parts of town and I had heard about the area where this shop is located. I asked a local to take me there and I loved it!Yes, it's a lttle old timey. But that's what I loved. The selection of essential oils was impressive and less expensive than they aqre in the shops in my area. She also had a good selection of diffusers at good prices. I have one for each bathroom and my kitchen. They are better for scenting a room than most candles.I also loved the mushroom candles and they way they dripped. reminscent of the late 60's and 70's? Sure but isn't that what we're all drawn to these days?Anyway, maybe because I live in a very artsy community in Florida, I have a very strong admiration for those who create. And this shopowner is definitely putting her heart and creativity into each piece she makes. I think it's definitely worth supporting her in her endeavor rather than the huge companies that mass produce and exist everywhere. Take a minute and stop next time for a cup of coffee and let her show you all the things she has. I don't think you'll be sorry.
