I went to Surplus Sales after speaking with the owner. I was in search of a pair of Army NCO dress pants for my son who wanted attending an Army formal event. The store has some interesting items and lots of uniforms and boots. The owner asked me if I minded sharing why I needed the trousers. After sharing with him my need with him, the owner, a huge supporter of our military, offered me a more than excellent offer for those pants. As a veteran, the owner of that shop made my Great American list. Although not your traditional surplus store, they do have interesting artifacts and for those who are in need of uniforms (Active, Part-Time Military, or Civilian) for all branches. Boots, helmets and other interesting things. He made a soldier happy and a veteran proud to have served for a great Americans like him. Thank you!

Probably shouldn't be the first place to stop for military surplus. The website for this store is misleading in that they have "all kinds of things". They really don't. Unless I missed a secret area of the store, the actual amount of surplus probably numbers below 30. In fact, I don't know why they call themselves a surplus store when the computer equipment from 1995 exceeds actual army surplus goods. It's not the place you want to go to for military surplus. Unless you're somebody who likes shopping for outdated software and hate garage sales, I wouldn't put this high on your list.

I saw their truck and did a double-take. It said ASS. Then under it said Army Surplus Sales. Ha!

Permanently closed. Regardless of whatever the inventory was at any given time, the employees were always very nice. Military surplus stores are dinosaurs headed for extinction, sadly. Bruce! You were awesome. Always friendly, talkative, and willing to help get stuff for folks. Stay away from the Mountain Dews.
