Apple Barrel Restaurant

Everything went great! I drove by here in March n I didn't have time to stop. This time I had time. It was well worth it! Simple BLT won't regret it! Amazing! If I drive by again I will be stopping by again.

Yummy food! You wouldn't expect a restaurant within a gas station to have some legit good food... we'd come her again! The onion rings have to be homemade! They were soooo goood! The dough used was perfectly fried!They offer a soup and salad bar option for $10! I got that. And they have a nice variety of kids options. My husbands burger was great! He was glad we didn't 'just go to Wendy's' We camped at the State Park 10 minutes away so this might be visited again!Came again on night 2- was so much easier than cooking on site! Corn dogs were the better kids choice. They were out of onion rings :( but the mashed potatoes with brown gravy were homemade!

Food was not good. I wouldn't even say adequate. Very disappointing but the portions were big. I just wish it was worth eating.

It was nice place for dinner after traveling all day. It wasn't bad for off the freeway food. The service was terrific though.

Friendly servers. We had the breakfast buffet and the food was pretty good. If you stay at the Motel 6 you get 10% off your meal. Will eat there again.

Owned by actress Barrel Streep and Coldplay's kid Apple Martin, this is a cute truck stop diner in the middle of nowhere.Lovely little diner south of Omaha, in Iowa, right off the highway, which has some good home-style dishes and All American food which will fill you right up for pretty good prices. For all these reasons I like the diner and will continue coming here whenever I'm passing by and hungry.Speaking of Iowa, Iowa lot of money to the feds so I have to go bye.

Marble rye - generous sammies, house made pie. Place in the middle of nowhere. It was a super pleasant surprise

Stopped in during a road trip. The clear plastic cups were stained yellow and I really didn't want to drink from them. The waitress was efficient. The ambience was like an old crappy cafeteria. The cheeseburger was huge and good. Onion rings were great. Kids chicken was overly breaded with minimal chicken. I wouldn't stop by again except to maybe get some onion rings to go.

Food & service was great! Really liked their baked beans! Note, the restaurant is not in Sidney but instead west at the Sapp truck stop. There is also an Apple Barrel Restaurant in Council Bluffs, IA, too, at the Sapp truck stop.
