BEWARE Bait and switch and no one on the team cares!! The items they have aren't actually available and they won't let you get a refund during the delay. They will keep your money while you have no product. I wish I would've found these reviews before purchasing but I'm not at all surprised to see they have terrible ratings. They are money grabbing and don't care about their customers which is a shame because it will ultimately result in their business failing and it appears it's already on the way there based on these terrible reviews. I would give this company negative stars if I could. Terrible experience, terrible service, and they don't care. I ordered a $3,000 rug because it was showing as available immediately. The next day, I notice that my order confirmation says the rug won't get to me for 2 months. If I hadn't paid attention to the email I never would have seen it. I decide to be patient and wait even though the delay that I almost didn't even notice is annoying. Well, it's been about 6 weeks and the rug is still not in stock and we decide we're not going to get the rug anymore. The operations manager reaches out to say she's going to make an exception to the refund policy (which is apparently that you can only get a store credit and not a refund at any point after hitting confirm on your order no matter why you want to cancel and no matter if the item is on the way to you or not)... I ask her what the exception is and she says she'll offer me a store credit. That's not an exception. Yet again, they're being misleading. Then the owner Monica (who you can see responding to comments here) is the worst. She reaches out to snidely explain to me that they're not Wayfair (as if I hadn't noticed). She took time out of her day to rub in my face that they'd be keeping my money and didn't care how it made no sense that they'd keep my money for an item they don't even have in stock. BEWARE. Go somewhere else. There are plenty of small and local business with more ethical business practices who will do the honorable thing.Also, just to show you how DISHONEST this company is the one good review they have is from their employee, Rachel take a look at her pic from the website. They really think their customers are stupid. Shame on them.

I am writing this review with the hope of preventing another person from having to experience the difficulties I have encountered with this business.On Feb 18, I ordered the Nordic Dresser. The courier dropped the dresser while attempting to complete the delivery and broke it. I reached out to Amethyst who, after many emails back and forth, arranged for the broken piece to be picked up and offered a replacement. A few weeks later the replacement dresser arrived and was also broken. It sat in my home for five days until they sent a courier to pick it up. I reached out to Amethyst to request a refund as I have no confidence that a third dresser won't arrive broken (as the first two have).I have now taken four days away from the office to accept deliveries and facilitate returns for this order (Feb 10, Feb 13, Mar 31, and Apr 5). I have exchanged over 30 emails regarding this purchase with Elle from customer service. They refuse to issue me a refund but instead keep offering to issue another replacement. For a dresser costing in excess of $3,000, this is simply unacceptable.I understand that Amethyst is a small business and have done my best to remain patient and understanding. However, I would not wish this situation upon anyone looking to make a significant purchase for their home. I will not be purchasing from Amethyst again and HIGHLY recommend others refrain from doing so as well.

Buyers! Please beware. This is a completely unethical business.I purchased expensive counter stools and being aware that they have a very strict return policy, I asked detailed questions about the safety of the stool legs on hardwood floors. They assured me they were safe and that if not, the options they had on their Amazon site (felt, sleeves) would work to protect my floors.After receiving the stools it was clear that because of the weight of the stools and the sharp, pointy legs they would definitely scratch my hardwood floors. I ordered several protection options from the merchant's Amazon store (felt, sleeves) and none of these options would stay on the stool legs due to the small circumference of the points. I immediately reached out to notify the merchant of this issue and to try and resolve it with them. The merchant then sent me the manufacture's own care instructions which read, "Do not drag the furniture along the floor, as it might damage the protective coating, cause rusting or leave permanent marks on the floor." The only way to pull these stools out is to drag them across the floor because they are extremely heavy.I made several attempts to resolve this and the owner herself, Monica Freeborn, has shown no good faith effort to make this right. She has offered that I could ship the chairs back, at my own expense, and she would provide a store credit. This is unacceptable. The ownness is on the merchant. They provided completely false and inaccurate product information (that I based my purchase on) and they did not vet the product properly to ensure it would be safe for use on hardwood floors. After multiple good faith attempts to try to resolve this matter with the business owner I have had to enter into a billing dispute claim with my credit card company.Please beware of this company and their practices and protect your hard earned money and perhaps consider ordering your items elsewhere (especially if you aren't able to see them for yourself in person). Amethyst Home cannot be trusted with providing accurate product advice because many of these products are shipped by 3rd party manufacturers and it appears that the staff and owner have never laid eyes on them to validate the quality, design, functionality, and in my case safety on hardwood floors. The claim they make on their website that their "design team are problem solvers" is laughable.

I want to thank the Amethyst Team with a special call out to Monica and Elle for all their support in managing my order and ensuring it was delivered in perfect condition. Exceptionally handled given the challenges in the size and weight and having to arrange shipping overseas. It was a long wait with some unexpected challenges but the team were there to support me all the way. I fell in love with the Sanda Kerby Banquette Dining suite the minute I laid eyes on it. I'm from Australia and searched for months with no luck finding a company that supported overseas shipping until I came across Amethyst Home. I immediately contacted the company to find out more on costs and lead times, then placed an order. To be honest, I was very nervous about paying all costs upfront especially with such a long lead time, 6-7 months before estimated arrival into Australia but Amethyst Home assured me everything would be ok and they'd be available any time I needed to reach out, and they were. They kept in constant communication with me with prompt replies and updates. When the shipment arrived Australia they assisted in expediting import clearance and stayed in touch until I received delivery. I was also a bit anxious about the banquettes condition with it being shipped in a container and undergoing a long journey but it was packed so well and secure, there was no chance of it getting soiled or damaged during transit. I want to thank the team at Amethyst Home for their ongoing support, great communication and ultimately making this happen for me. There is nothing like this item in Australia and it was delivered to me within the advised lead time and in pristine condition. Thank you. Wonderful, trustworthy and professional.

This place sells items out of stock that dont ship for months and then when you try to cancel they dont respond. This might be a scam front but I am currently in a dispuste with my back and Its been over 30 days. I requested to cancel over a week ago and no reponse.

Buyer beware. Please carefully review Amethyst's Home return policy. They do not accept returns, even if their online product quality is misrepresented. I am a huge supporter of small businesses, however this is definitely one with a policy I can't get behind. Disappointing as I would have happily purchased a higher quality product replacement from them instead. Stand behind your products!

Buyer Beware! Worst experience ever. Never shop here for anything! I purchased a rug and reached out to make some changes before it shipped. Was working with one of their designers to pick out the right rug for my space, everything was fine until I decided to not go with any of their rugs. As soon as they found out that I was not moving forward with a rug they shipped it anyways. I called Rachel MaNally Business Manger immediate who said my rug had shipped days ago which was a complete lie. Within minutes of emailing Rachel that I was not moving forward with the rug and inquired about a refund or store credit I received a shipped order confirmation with tracking number. Just awful experience. Stay Away!
