Worn armrests
Worn armrests
Gorgeously painted dome in entrance
Plenty of staff on duty yet no one cleaning up
Artsy ceiling
Comfy seats that are unfortunately not super well maintained

Although AMC Council Bluffs is a bit out of the way for me, it's absolutely worth the drive for one reason: the Dolby Cinema. This is the only theater in the Omaha area (even though it's technically in Council Bluffs) that offers this incredible format, and it's a game-changer for any movie lover. The Dolby Cinema experience here is unmatched, with stunning 4K Dolby Vision visuals and the booming, immersive sound of Dolby Atmos surround. If you love your movies loud, beautiful, and fully immersive, this is the place to be. I saw Top Gun: Maverick here, and it was hands down one of the best film presentations I've ever experienced. It's not just watching a movie--it's feeling it.That said, the theater can get extremely busy on weekends and Friday evenings, so I highly recommend buying your tickets in advance to secure your spot.If you're a fan of elevated movie experiences, this theater is a must-visit for its Dolby Cinema alone.

Stopped at AMC Council Bluffs last night with my kids to see Love Hurts. The ticket purchasing process was quick and easy, and the automated kiosk made it convenient to navigate the theater. The seating was comfortable, which added to the overall movie experience. However, the concessions area was a disaster. Trash and spills were everywhere, and it was clear the staff had neglected it for far too long. As someone who worked at a movie theater for my first job, I know firsthand how important it is to keep that area clean. Whether it's poor training or negligence, it's unacceptable for it to be left in that condition. This location really needs to step up its game when it comes to cleanliness and customer experience.

This is my favorite theater! Great location for me is just part of it. The theater is always clean and concession lines move quickly. Best part is you can butter your own corn! I wish all theaters offered that amenity! The reclining seats are a must anymore and this theater provides those as well!

This is my 'go to' location when a big screen worthy flick is released. Super comfy chairs that recline are just the best! Conveniently located at the I-80 and 29 interchange make getting there easy and a large complimentary parking allows for easy access. Tickets available online and reserved seating ensures you will see your choice film. IMAX offered on some selections for an added cost. Large popcorn and snack bar at standard movie prices is available. A full bar is also at the theater but only at select hours - check their website for details.

Nice place with plenty of parking and lots of movies! A lot of different choices, and everything was clean and very nice attendants. We didn't go to the Imax, but I heard it's pretty neat. Recommend so go chill and watch a movie

We are Alamo Drafthouse loyalists, but the only times we venture to another theater, it's usually this one! (When Alamo unfortunately doesn't end up showing a certain movie, etc)The pros: They have the comfy reclining seats, their concession options are actually pretty good, with my favorites being the mozzarella sticks and fried mac and cheese bites. Their premium theater options (Dolby and IMAX) are fantastic! The cons:The other theaters (aside from Dolby and IMAX) seem to unfortunately not be maintained as well, with the reclining chair cushions here and there ripping/taped up, and some of the screens having burn-in, which makes me sad.I think this theater is a good option if you want to see something in Dolby or IMAX formats, but the other theaters are pretty standard fare compared to other offerings around town.

As AMC IMAX places go.. this place has an amazing interior! You could literally hear your own echo! The Egyptian theme with the giant domed mural was just awe worthy. I literally stared at it while I waited. Other than the amazing interior in the lobby, it was a typical AMC experience. Comfy chairs that you can easily fall asleep in, concessions were just as expensive and the movie was a good experience.

This place was filthy. First we had to use a machine to get a ticket. Then was a large water puddle by the concession. Pop stands looked As if they had not been cleaned this summer. Popcorn was cold sitting on a counter for who knows how long. Pop splatter everywhere. Counters were no better. carpets Had hugh stains. Seats were torn and dirty. We will not be going back.

The armrest is completely ripped and the cup holder is wet and sticky, I don't think anyone has cleaned here. I bought 2 tickets for $11 each and the total came out to $27. Make it make sense. It's also Tuesday so this should've been $5.
