This was one of the most fun Saturday activities we have done in such a long time. We signed up for "whine" with the alpacas and it was the best time. You get to be up close for 30 minutes then we sat and drank some wine while watching the alpacas graze! Sheri and her mom were the sweetest and made sure to talk to guests and teach guests about the alpacas and their land! It was just a fabulous event and we will definitely be back! Recommend bringing lawn chairs to sit on as the grass can get buggy!

If you are looking for cuteness you have come to the right place. Just a short drive outside of Omaha, we went to the whine with the alpacas event which is essentially a lovely evening byo picnic. The alpacas come out and graze while you get to enjoy some bevvies. They had probably at least 25 alpacas and we were lucky enough to meet five new borns. They all are so soft to pet (but a little skittish to strangers). They also have feeding events. For further information I would check out their Facebook page. They have a website but the owner more frequently processes request through Facebook

We had a fantastic time here celebrating a 30th birthday. Its a great place to invite friends and bring picnic snacks. This is a truly unique Nebraska experience and not one to be missed. I'm sure kids would love it as well! The alpacas are very well behaved and fun to watch. Bring at least ten dollars cash per person as a donation. Reserve car parking ahead of time but be considerate to others and let them know if you can't end up making it so they can open the spot to someone else. Enjoy!

Have been here twice and it never seems to disappoint. It's an alpaca farm just 20-30 mins outside of Omaha. Even the drive out there is nice and peaceful, great getaway from the city. Even being here once before, the alpacas never get old, entertaining and super friendly. We enjoyed a nice picnic with some friends and sometimes the alpacas would drop by to investigate what was going on, other times they would just roam around by us, snacking on grass. Likely to get more packed on your weekends during the summer so come early to get a decent parking space. Food and drinks allowed which is a plus!

We visited the farm last fall and also attended the previous year for National Alpaca Day. Myself and family enjoyed visiting with the owners and alpacas, and my 2 year old had so much fun feeding them (the alpacas, not the owners). The owners are very thorough when covering safety guidelines of what to/not to do when approaching and interacting with the alpacas. I felt safe and it's always been a wonderful and enjoyable experience. It's a great place and very cool of the owners to invite people onto their property to interact with the alpacas up close and personal. We hope to get back there again this year!

I went here on the open house weekend. Very Busy. I'm not really surprised. Parking is crazy. We went at noon on Saturday. We had lots of fun feeding and taking pictures with the Alpacas. The ranch does have rules. No going into cages, no touching, holding and running after them. They did provide free food to give to the alpacas. The farm is beautiful with rolling hills. Great views. They also have a alpaca gift shop.

Such an amazing experience! If you haven't been here before, this is definitely worth a visit. We went to the Saturday wine event that they hold every other week seasonally. For a $10 suggested donation, you get to meet a bunch of alpacas and bring your own picnic to enjoy on a beautiful property. You can interact with the alpacas as much or as little as you want (except for a few who can't or should not be touched). The volunteers are super helpful and happy to answer questions about the alpacas.A few tips: bring chairs and something sturdy to keep your food on. We struggled a bit with balancing everything on our knees. They have plastic cups silverware and bug spray but I probably would have preferred an insulated cup and to apply bug spray and sunscreen before getting in so that I wouldn't have to figure out how to wash up. Definitely try to round up a group to go because parking is a little tricky (they have limited spots so you are guided into a spot in a Jenga-like fashion). I'd also plan on leaving a few minutes early to avoid the traffic jam on the way out.All in all, highly recommend! Can't believe it took me so long to come to this place!

Amazing and so much fun!!! Great for all-ages of animal lovers. I believe the visits are by appointment only, so be sure to call before you go but definitely worth the short trek from Omaha to see something different. We went in July and kiddo immediately wanted to plan a return trip with her friends. Requires a short walk (including some stairs) so those with limited mobility may have difficulty. I was kinda surprised by the number of people in our group who wore flip flop sandals... it's a barn yard with animals there's gonna be "stuff" you could step in. I recommend closed toed shoes!Really enjoyed meeting Sheri and her parents, and feeding all the alpacas (plus a bonus kitten!). Will definitely visit again.

This is such a wonderful place! We found it to be very toddler friendly and enjoyable for the small kids and adults. We visited recently and were given small bags of carrots to feed the alpacas. Clearly the owners love these beautiful animals and enjoys sharing them with the public. I can't say enough wonderful things about this experience. They were great about reminding us that strollers were not easily used and we should plan to allow our kids to walk or carry them. It worked just perfectly and we would certainly go back again.

Arrived 10 mins before our provided reservation and no one was there to greet us or show us where to go. Found our own way to the alpaca pen and the staff could not be more rude or more seemingly put out by our presence. Apparently another group was in progress and they didn't like that we just walked down. Volunteer Michelle was very nice and super informative. When she gets her own alpaca farm, I'd be happy to go and donate...best of luck to you. Please be advised that there is NO handicable access and the same arrogant old staffer chastised us for even asking.
