ALDI

Typical ALDI but this one needed some TLC. It could be cleaner and bigger. It is in an odd industrial area that had a fertilizer smell. There are two lots which is confusing, so go pass Caesar's pizza.

I live in CB and normally shop at the CB Aldi but there was a limited batch of wine that was out and CB's location only had one left, which I bought, and I wanted more. So I took the short trip to this Aldi to see if they had any and behold, they had one left, which I snatched up.The cashier was super nice when I made the purchase and was very responsive when I asked her questions about future shipments and whatnot.

I shop at all Aldi's stores depending on where I am in town. I frequently shop off of 33rd and L Street store. I am impressed by their full shelves, cleanliness and their ability to be curious even when they are uber busy. I bring my own bags, leave a few for those who don't have them, and don't mind hauling my items to the car (I do this at high-end stores) because I am saving a ton of money!Thanks Aldi's and keep up the great job. If you didn't already know, Aldi has a fantastic business model, but that business model may frustrate you if you're accustomed to the bells and whistles of more conventional grocers. It is not highly staffed. It is not brightly lit. It's wise to bring your own bags. It's wise to bring a quarter to rent out a cart. It's wise to remember they close at 8pm. But employees deserve a decent wage (and Aldi gives them that, rather than overstaffing at minimum wage.) You should use reusable bags; if not for the environment, because they hold so much more! You should return your cart to the proper stall because you're an adult!Mostly I go there for cheap booze and produce. You can't beat their prices. One week avocados were 59 cents, whereas they were $1 each at Hyvee and Baker's. Limes were a mere 19 cents, opposed to 2/$1. I tend to describe Aldi as a more basic Trader Joe's. Quality items privately labeled to give you deep, deep discounts. Might have something to do with their connection. Google it. There's even a part about a founder getting kidnapped.

I have been shopping at Aldi since I was in college, their first Omaha store was on 132nd and Center. Back then it was mostly pantry items, in recent years they have expanded to produce, meat, dairy and frozen foods. No deli, but there is so much more they do have, you don't miss it.Everything is private label, so you can't use coupons. I know for a fact (aka: ConAgra employee) that it is all quality, and the exact same product you would pay TWICE as much for if it was "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" compared to Aldi's "Cinnamon Crunch Squares" IS the same as General Mills, whereas other stores generic are not so great...I buy all my groceries here, even diapers! Their diapers are the cheapest and best quality...$4.99 for 32 diapers! (think Pampers in different label) Laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels even shampoo is all good. They have tons of seasonal items, you will notice many things are organic or made without high fructose corn syrup. It is a European company so their standards are higher, think Trader Joe's but a fraction of the price! If you don't like something, bring it back for 100% refund. No joke. No exceptions.This place has saved my family and I hundreds of dollars, and I can't praise it enough! Yes, it is a little strange: quarter for a cart, bring your own bags, sack your own stuff, but you won't be disappointed. Give it a try, and you will be amazed at how much you will save compared to ANY other supermarket in Omaha....even Walmart, yes.... you heard me correct! Way more options too, you just have to look a little harder. Please take my word for it, and fall in love with Aldi, like I have!

You can beat the prices and that German-inspired efficiency. The great: Nice cheap wine (Winking Owl, $2.99), their cheeses, special buys, and Specially Selected brand items (quality pastas, fancier dressings and condiments, olives, and more). You'll learn the layout of the store and be able to get in and out very quickly. Aldi has significantly cut down our grocery bill and time spent shopping. The good: All your normal frozen, dairy, and pantry items for good quality and great prices!The meh: the produce is hit-or-miss but that's really my only complaint.For the uninitiated: Bring a quarter for the cart (it's returned to you when you return the cart, which cuts down on rogue shopping carts in the parking lot and keeps prices lower), bring your own bags since you'll be bagging on your own after your check out, and bring cash or a debit card because credit cards have an additional cost (also keeps prices down). They are so efficient...and the savings they get from their private labeling and other efficiency practices get passed on to the customer. I assumed Aldi would be full of cheap, generic, and expired foods. I was so wrong. Aldi, you're life changing!

My husband and I shop at Aldi about once a month for our staples, butter, eggs, milk, meat, pasta..etc. As other people have stated you have to bring a quarter and should bring plenty of bags. I usually bring five large cloth bags. Not to worry if you forget, they sell paper bags for I believe a dime and plastic bags for a quarter. The prices are amazing, I just bought a bag of salt and vinegar chips there last week and they only cost 1.29. They were just as tasty as any name brand. I love the Aldi finds that change every week. In the last year, they have had hanging flower baskets for like 5.88, houseplants, candles, weed eaters, fans, etc. I even bought a air mattress there a few years back and it was wonderful for the price. The downside to Aldi is that some of the speciality foods comes and go. I had some German coconut and chocolate cookies there last year that were to die for, but next time I went they were gone. I would highly recommend Aldi to anyone living on a strict budget and if I were single living on a baristas salary I would be shopping there for all my groceries. Some of the help has been there a long time and remember you and make you feel welcome. Aldi may not be for everyone, because it's well different, but it's sure for me and I highly recommend everyone go there once to try it out.

They are clean the price is even better. Don't forget the quarter for the cart you do get it back but if you don't have one you have to carry your things. You can buy your bags or bring your own. But I love the prices with a growing family it helps save the budget. The only thing they can do to improve is have more people to help ring out.

This is a fantastic grocery store! I love the affordable food and products. This store is always clean and well stocked! Super happy to save money because of shopping here! The employees are always very friendly! I like that there are name brand and non name brand foods.

Poor quality vegetable and meats. Limited selection forces visit to more than one store. Low prices are ok for limited quantity items.
