I absolutely love Akarui!! They have such a great lunch special where you get 2 sushi rolls for ~$12 and the sushi is good!! I looove their Akarui ramen too, and their crab rangoons are also so good!!They're always super friendly and quick, too!! They also have tons of seating and a place to sit and wait for takeout orders too!

Really good noodles. Surrounded by mediocrity.Spicy chicken katsu ramen. In the middle of Nebraska I went in with low expectations. The eggs were plain soft boiled, soup base was not spicy just tasted like red pepper think shin ramen just less salty, the chicken katsu was good. The vegetables were okay. Maybe their other soup bases are better.Staff were great.

Came in for dinner on a business trip when it was perfect soup weather. The menu was HUGEThe ramen was amazing so was the shu mai. The servers were attentive! The art on the walls was really pretty too! Definitely hit the spot!

Wonderful Japanese restaurant downtown. My go to place for ramen these days. My other favourite is the takoyaki. Kind and wonderful service. Offers poke, sashimi and sushi bowls. Street parking.

I got sushi this time. Mine were a little overdressed, but that's my fault because I like rolls that are more plain. However, the food was great. Experience was wonderful. And they accommodated me and 15 of my friends.

We were staying at Hilton and Akarui was very close to our hotel. I love the ambiance at the restaurant which signifies the cuisine that they offer. Our table was closer to the street and Omaha is a very calm city, we got to enjoy the city view with our food.The crew was very sweet and patient. The price was reasonable and portion size was large.We ordered Peach Dragon fruit tea with popping lychee boba and it came in the cute Kitty sipper and they taste refreshing!The sushi was delicious. It was one of the best sushi that I have tasted. I tried Takoyaki for the first time and it was extremely delicious too. The Poke bowl was quite nice, although we were fairly stuffed by then.Overall we had a memorable experience and we steeped out as content diners.The restaurant is wheelchair friendly, although I did not spot an parking near by.Akarui is a must visit for anyone in Omaha.

Was staying at the Marriott and this place was just around the corner. I was skeptical, because I'm from Seattle where seafood and sushi have a high standard. The other Yelpers and their reviews swayed me to give this place a try. So I got the bento box A. This came with teriyaki chicken, gyoza, california rolls, and seaweed salad. The chicken was a perfectly cooked chicken breast with a very light sweet sauce on top. I appreciate not having my chicken overcooked, which is usually the case with chicken breast meat. The seaweed salad was light, refreshing, and slightly salty with a hint of the sea. The gyoza was perfectly crisp and delicious. California rolls were decent. Overall, the portion was very large and I devoured the entire box. We ended up coming back another night where I ate a spicy ramen noodle bowl. That was decent, but I'd suggest trying the bento box and some sushi rolls. My friends had a variety of rolls and they really like it. I also ended up getting a boba drink the second night. I made sure to save room as I was too full the first time. Lots of boba options to choose from so think ahead if you want to enjoy both.

We tried this out during after dinner hours, so we were sat pretty quickly. The wait staff and front of house were all very friendly and helpful although service was pretty slow even during a slow time and without many people there. The food was great! We started with the octopus balls and those were good, a little more octopus would have been good though. The ramens were both really good, I got the seafood ramen and loved the itty bitty scallops in it. I added a soft boiled egg and that was a great addition to it!

The setting is very nice, very modern, straight lines and clean. Our ramen came out very quick and it was quite robust with vegetables and meat. The sushi was ok, but I recognize that this is not their specialty, ramen is. Overall good experience and I would definitely go back!
