What a wonderful find. I was out and about shooting pics of local Omaha developments and saw this store at the end of the strip mall to the south of the new Walmart Neighborhood Store. I had a classmate who was from Nigeria, so I knew just a little about West African cuisine, to which it appears this store caters. The first person I encountered was Felix, the owner from Nigeria, who helped me remember Fufu and other foods. A very friendly smile I hope to see again once I research a little more about certain ethnic dishes and spices and return with more questions... Felix gave me homework: How to make Jollof Rice, and find an Americanized name for Achi, the later which may not exist.

This is my favorite African grocer in Omaha. The store is clean, tidy and well-organized. I always find what I'm looking for. The owner, Felix, is a good guy and a better business man. I would highly recommend African Farms to anyone looking for West African/African meats, grains, and all the more. I visit this store weekly!

Excellent !!! I've passed by the store so many times and just didn't bother to go into it. Today I did. I did because I was curious to what they have and I wanted to support Omaha small businesses. The only thing it did not have was fresh vegetables which I hope that someday they will sell. I spent $70 and like everything I had purchased including two fresh meals to go. I intend to go back and support this business. Unlike one store on 72nd. and Blondo, this place is immaculate. It has an eatery, bathrooms and it looks like they are trying to open a butcher shop. Felix is a very nice fella and I have every reason to return.

My wife and I found this place while passing through. They have a great selection of imported African products and some locally made delicacies including puff puffs. One such treat is a millet yogurt treat made locally called Mel's Dêguê.
