Absolutely Fresh Seafood Market

It's been along time since I've been to the oyster bar, but it feels like home as I come from Long Island New York seafood community. It's just a cozy place to check in and get some great food.The restaurant is clean, kind of tucked in the back room behind the main store. It feels a little like a speakeasy! Beer on tap, full service, bar, and great food. What more could you ask for? A number of specialty drinks and appetizer munchies. Happy hour daily from 2 to 6 PM for in-house only.A very casual atmosphere with seat yourself table service. To go orders are available as is food from the fish market ajoining the restaurant. Service staff is pleasant and very efficient. A must stop if you're craving some excellent clam chowder!

I absolutely love this place! They have every kind of seafoods that you need. The selection is very diverse: crab cakes, lobster cake, scallops, smoked salmon, etc.. Sometimes there are deals on days of the week. For this week, I remember Tuesday is 50% of lobster tails. I enjoyed their lobster bisque and clam chowder, so once in a while I will come in and grab one. They also have herring and oyster in a jar. There are also some wine selection, but I don't know much about wine so can't comment!

My parents have been going to Absolutely Fresh for years, so I figured is check it out for myself. When I wandered over there today looking for tonight's supper protein, I expected insanely high quality fresh fish and a variety of seafood options. The name doesn't exactly seem to live up to their offerings. As soon as I stepped in, I felt like I was in a dirty fish market. Chipped cement floors that were caked with leaves and dirt...not the best first impression. I went over to the main product cases and was quite disappointed with what I saw. They had 10 or so varieties of fresh fish, but most of them looked like they had been sitting for a while. The top of the fish had that gummy textural look to it, and it didn't look appealing in the slightest. Then came the real shock--the prices. They were asking for $30/pound for these tiny sea scallops. Most of their other items seemed on the high end of the price spectrum as well. Now, I understand paying a premium for really great high quality fish. But this didn't look like it would have been the case. Unfortunately, I just didn't see anything that looked good enough to shell out $25/pound so I left empty-handed. I probably won't be back...I can find cheaper, better looking seafood closer to home.

I loved this place. We were in a dilemma because we wanted to make homemade sushi, but most places didn't have grade 1 sushi fish. However, Bakers let us know about this place. You walk in and you don't realize there is a resturant attached on the other side. I bet they have amazing seafood. There is a large range of fresh fish and frozen fish available. We got the Skinless Atlantic Salmon. We got a pound of salmon for $20! They also had all of the items we needed to make sushi! We got the items to make it and fresh sushi for $52. I'm excited to go back.

Best in Omaha by far. Very nice store, wine collection and great food. Love the shrimp-cargot clam chowder is nice also. I had the lobster roll last visit very good. Not quite the Walrus Oyster and Ale restaurant in Maryland but very good.

I love coming here for sushi grade salmon. Great selection and always friendly. Highly recommend

Atlantic salmon was $19/lb flown in daily. Fresh fish no funk. Sushi grade salmon according to the guys there.

We order a shrimp tray every Christmas from Absolutely Fresh. As always, their service and products were amazing. I ordered online, and found some new items to add to our order. I called ahead to confirm our order was received, and although the staff was extremely busy, they were super friendly and helpful on the phone. When we arrived on the afternoon of Christmas Eve, there was plenty of signage in the parking lot, showing you where to go for pre-orders. The kids at the outdoor desk were great, and grabbed our order right away. I was very thankful that the pick up was outdoors, so we did not have to go inside. My ONLY "Go-To" seafood market! I've shopped this Business for Many Years and have Never been disappointed! My last 2 orders have been delivered. We did the "low country" seafood boil. Great food, helpful and friendly staff. They are quick to answer their phones and were able to answer all of our questions.
