Abe's Trash Service

On June 2023 that Abe's truck hit my car in front of a Casey's, causing more than 4 thousand dollars in damages, and then they blamed me on the damages they did to my car. June 21st 2023 I went to work and parked in front of Casey's and one employee of Abe's trash told me and another person, to move our cars out of the area because a Abe's truck is going to back up and pick up the trash of the store. The person parked next to me got of the parking space almost at the same time as me, so once I completely moved out of the parking spot I waited for this person to park in the new parking spot that way I can move too; when out of nowhere the Abe's truck started to back up from the other side othe parking lot to my direction, I didn't notice because I was waiting for the person in front of me to park but there is a video. The Driver named Kenneth backed up form the other side of the parking lot and RAMMED into my car. I was furious but I kept my calm I was never disrespectful to Kenneth but I was upset, he apologized and gave me his info and his insurance info, he said his BOSS whats to tak to me so I gave him my phone# but he never communicated. So I talked to their insurance and waited for them to talk to the driver. The next day I called the insurance and to my surprise Kenneth and the other employee of Abe's blamed me for the accident. This can happen to you and Abe's as a company and their insurance can be difficult and stressful to deal with. I WILL PROCED LEGALLY with Abe's, that day I called the police and they said I can count on them, also I have a witness, theother driver who was parked next to me, and I have a video from the store. It is frustrating to deal with people who try to take advantage of others specially when I was never disrespectful to the person who did this.

First of all, I welcome any and all advice from all of you regarding this, and I thank you for your time.Do not ever use this company for any reason.AFTER WE ASKED THEM TO QUIET THEIR NOISE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, THE STAFF AT THIS COMPANY HAS RETALIATED BY SENDING TRUCKS TO MAKE NEW, LOUDER, AND MORE EXTREMELY UNBEARABLE NOISES TO HARASS NEIGHBORS AT ALL HOURS....yes, I am serious. Let me tell you about our terrible experiences with this company and what, in my opinion, is an awful staff. My daughter lives on the midtown/downtown border so she can be close to school and her job. The area is not the nicest, but the apartment rent is fairly cheap, and she likes being able to walk or bicycle most everywhere she needs to go. She is a caring soul who dedicates time in the late evening to feeding the homeless during the winter, and the place where she volunteers is nearby. I recently stayed the night with my daughter after some recent car break-ins in her apartment parking lot. In the middle of the night I was awakened by what sounded like a loud car accident right outside. I looked out to see an Abe's garbage truck lifting a dumpster over the top of the truck and banging it repeatedly. The driver then dropped the dumpster back onto the concrete. Now, I might be tempted to say "That is life in the downtown area", but let me set the scene for you: This is a completely residential area north of Dodge Street. This dumpster is situated in between a small 12-plex and the rest are single family homes (see photos). There are no high-rises or businesses, just hard working families and college students trying to get some sleep at night. I asked my daughter (also awakened) about this situation, and she said Abe's Trash Service has made life nearly unbearable by startling and waking her- and many others in her neighborhood for more than a full year. She said she and other neighbors called and spoke with the Abe's management staff, most often a manager named "Josh" to ask if they could please show some concern, and adjust the timing of the noise for the sake of the folks in the area. She said Josh always told them that there is nothing that Abe's can do. My daughter said that there are at least 7 neighbors she knows of who are awakened at all hours of the night. She said 3 of them moved away specifically because of this. Pat and Sharon Paterson, owners of Patterson Real Estate and the landlords of the Newport Apartments (renting the dumpster), have received complaints about this. They do not care. They refuse to do anything about this.Upon hearing of this mess, my husband and I called Abe's manager, Josh, and kindly suggested that something must be possible in this situation to give the folks some relief. Josh told him that "that's the way our routes work". My husband stated that routes do not work that way in more affluent parts of town, and that banging dumpsters in the middle of the night does not happen in Linden Estates or Barrington Park.....and never would. Josh repeated his mantra of "there is nothing we can do".Finally, two weeks ago, after we and several neighbors came together, we called Abe's and left a message for Josh. Our message was very simple: Kindly adjust the hours of this banging of the dumpster, or all of us will be going online and making everyone aware of the way the area residents are tormented by Abe's Trash Service. Josh's response? NOW WHEN THE TRUCK COMES IT BANGS THE DUMPSTER 10-15 TIMES (RATHER THAN 3-4 TIMES AS BEFORE) CONTINUOUSLY FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, THE TRUCK NOW SITS AND RACES ITS ENGINE AFTER THAT, AND THE TRUCK NOW ILLEGALLY BACKS 50 YARDS DOWN THE RESIDENTIAL STREET WITH ITS BACK-UP SIREN AND EMERGENCY LIGHT ON, SHATTERING THE PEACE OF EVERYONE ON THE STREET. My daughter has this video recorded and it is extremely evident that this is a clear harassment, retaliatory behavior, and has no place in this wonderful city of ours- or anywhere else.So, here I am, reporting to you our experiences with this company. Many of you live nowhere near a dumpster of any kind. However, This company does house-to-house garbage pickup as well, and I hope that you consider this review when you are looking for a service for such. Any company that would act in this fashion is not one that I would want to pay for any service whatsoever. Based upon BBB complaints we have viewed and an OSHA investigation regarding this company, it is clear that we are not the only ones concerned about the behavior of the Abe's staff. We have found that this company's name is quite fitting in terms of describing the staff with whom we have had contact.Abe's Trash.......the name says it all.

I have been using Abes for about 1 year. I have found them to be timely with picking up trash. When I have had odd size items to pick up, I have called Abes and they have picked up with no issues. I like supporting the small businesses.

I believe this company has no sense of concern for the citizens of Omaha.This business sends a garbage truck to a dumpster into our quiet, residential neighborhood in the middle of the night. The truck lifts, then slams the dumpster multiple times so it sounds like a plane crashing to the ground over and over again. We all live in houses on this street except for the small apartment building where this dumpster is. It is louder and more startling in the middle of the night than I can even begin to put into words here. Since this wakes up and terrifies my small children every single time, I contacted this business and asked if they could PLEASE cause their disturbance at a decent hour. I told them that I work for the City of Omaha, and that I know there are noise ordinances that must be followed. The Abe's Trash Service telephone treated my request like a joke, and I never heard back from anyone in management.A number of other sleep deprived neighbors and I finally got together a couple of weeks ago and contacted this business again, stating we would be filing formal complaints with the proper officials as well as online if they would not cease the disturbance. All we asked was that this company choose another time of day or evening to make such noise. In a detestable manner, this company actually ESCALATED the activity. The garbage truck now slams the dumpster about three times longer than before, the driver revs the engine for long periods of time while parked, and the driver is now apparently ordered to drive the truck backward for an entire city block, so that the backup assist (beeping noise) can be heard by all.I am disgusted by the actions of this business and it's employees, and I am following through with filing a formal complaint. I urge everyone reading this to avoid doing business with Abe's Trash Service.

One of their drivers honked at me, drove over the curb, to get through in between me and a trailer in front of me earlier today. Really unfortunate because I always heard good things about the company, shame their drivers don't live up to it

Trash services were cancelled several months ago but Abe's trash still billed for trash never collected. Messages to customer service and management were never responded to and ignored. Worst experience don't use or cancel if you are current customer.

We have used a Abe's Trash Services. two years now. Because of the lack of garbage the last two weeks I have put down two new rubber garbage cans. Both weeks the driver has dumped the garbage can in the back the first week and the second week did not put the lid back on and just took the lid and crushed it. I am out two brand new garbage cans when I called the company and ask them about it they said we were supposed to use the ones made for the garbage truck. I can't lift that garbage can into my vehicle and it's over a4 of a mile to the pick up site. They were not willing to work with me at all.

worst company to get trash pick up from they treat their employees like garbage wouldn't recommend maybe pick other companies

I would like to report a driver attempting to hit me with his truck today while I was at work.Location: Panera Bread of Saddle Creek Rd.11/16/18Driver pulled up behind my car, almost touching the bumper. I was unable to pull forward due to traffic in the drive through. I proceeded to walk into the building to retrieve my next delivery order and he began blaring his horn and yelling at me. I proceeded to go into the building and the driver shifted to reverse and hit the gas in an attempt to hit me.
