I called and was asked to schedule an appointment to view the dresses. I was able to schedule a time for a few days later. It is a small shop in downtown Bellevue and easy to find. Upon arriving, the designer was finishing up with another customer so I browsed. There isn't a ton of variety in comparison to other places, but as mentioned, it is a smaller shop. The designer asked me a lot of questions to determine what I was looking for and after we finished discussing, it sounded like she probably didn't have what I was really wanting. She said if I wanted something custom made I could call her.I really appreciate the years of experience she has, and that she designs her dresses at such a reasonable price. It seems that many other brides have been able to get their perfect dress from her with a very minimal budget. For me, it just wasn't the right fit. I was looking for different styles and although I thought the designer was very knowledgeable, I'm a very shy bride and found her demeanor a bit abrasive for me to work with. My biggest concern was also that the shop smelled like someone had been smoking and I wondered if that effects the clothing. No mention of it in other reviews so perhaps not.In all, very experienced and to the point local designer who can work within a tight budget. Worth checking out and seeing if one of her custom dresses is perfect for you!

I brought a bridesmaid dress here to be altered despite some of the negative reviews I read. I should have listened because the quality was terrible, the thread color was wrong - I was embarrassed how my dress looked compared to the dresses of all the other bridesmaids who had had their dresses altered elsewhere. My aunt even had to help me fix some of the stitching the morning of the wedding. Definitely would not recommend for tailoring services.

This was the best wedding shopping experience ever. Margie was such a great help. I thought for my size and age I would probably have to find something like a mother of the bride dress Margie helped me to find a bridal gown that made me feel like a bride and feel beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone.

Best experience I've had in any bridal shop. The owners are fantastic, Margie helped me find a dress that was flattering and beautiful, where at every other shop I just got frustrated from not finding anything I liked. We got the groom's suit and groomsmen's vests from here as well and everything fit wonderfully. Definitely recommend this to any bride, especially plus size ladies, Margie will take care of you! :)

AWFUL experience!! I spent $200 on a dress that came very late and with a HOLE in it! It was so poorly made that it was unrecognizable from the one I tried on in the small musty store. To say the seams were crooked would be an understatement. My seamstress said she has never seen anything so poorly made in her entire career. And by the end of the wedding, I had more holes along my seams - it was literally falling apart. The worst part was the customer service (if you can even call it that). The owner was rude and defensive and continually lied about the very small refund I received (after I had to show her a receipt that I paid to get the hole fixed - like I could even wear it without getting it fixed!) She lied about my check being in the mail and I eventually had to go in person to get my $10 for the hole. She took me back to her disgustingly dirty office (with empty Diet Coke cans and diapers all over the desk) and I finally got my money (although the amount she gave me back was an insult.) She never once took ownership of the poor quality of dresses we received. These awful dresses and terrible experience is unfortunately the first thing I remember about my friend's wedding and I'm sad that her pictures from her special day will always be a reminder of this awful ordeal. All of the other bridesmaids had similar (or even worse) experiences. One of the girls had to start from scratch and pay to have a completely new dress made just weeks from the wedding.I like to support small, locally-owned businesses because you usually get great service and unique products but you will not find that here!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I should have known from the initial meeting where the owner could not have been more rude that this was not the right place to give our business. I spent $200 on a bridesmaid dress that showed up with a "Made in China" label on it (roughly 7 months after we ordered them!!), despite our choosing a designer label in the first fitting. I had to spend an additional $150 in alterations because as my seamstress put it, "I've seen Halloween costumes sewn better than this!". The hem was something a middle schooler would learn in elementary textiles class, the seams were crooked on the sides, cheap zipper that was also crooked, I needed to have breast cups put in because there was no shape to the bust (or what shape there was was absolutely horrid). The lines were all wrong, there clearly had been two different shades of material used between the bust and the skirt, the beaded aplique that was supposed to be on the side of the dress was missing entirely and the owners solution was to just pin on an ugly broach. One of the bridesmaids didn't even keep her dress because it was 3 sizes to big so less than a month from the wedding, a new one was made that did not come close to matching the other bridesmaids. The worst part of this entire experience is how the owner refused to accept any responsibility for her actions. She showed no remorse over ruining my friend's wedding day for us. That day will forever be tainted by this horrible experience. She offered an insulting $30 compensation for money spent on alterations but then never followed through with that offer. She has dodged phone calls and would not come up with those funds until confronted at her store. This woman has no morals and I sincerely hope she goes out of business because she is in no way qualified to be in a customer service position like this.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I spent around $100 on my dress with my limited budget. Received it in perfect condition. The shop was quaint. The owner had a wonderful personality and sense of humor. She was hard at work each time I came into the shop, but was quick to cordially address me by name. She quickly chose dresses for me to try based on size, preference, and cost. I was getting married four hours later and she helped me choose a dress I felt was perfect for my quick courthouse wedding. I am very happy with my experience.

WOW! I was so amazed at the selection! Marjie had many dresses to choose from. With her years of experience, she was able understand what I was asking for. She found a dress that was in my budget, and that fit. Don't go online and place an order, who knows what you will get in the mail. And don't insist on items that are the cheapest, because that is what you will probably get. Best thing is to go into the store, and see the actual items before you order, order quality, and order through a reputable dealer, like Marjie. I was pleased with the personal attention and great customer service. A great problem solver, she came up with ideas on some of my other wedding problems. While I was there, another bride came back to pick up a dress, it had been an emergency... needed alterations "THAT DAY". Marjie got it done for her!!! Highly recommend!

While the bride loved her dress from a Bridal Boutique, this was a terrible experience start to finish for the bridesmaids dresses. The dresses came late after being "stuck in customs" and fit terribly, with almost no time for alterations. Each dress had something wrong with it, including panels that were the wrong size, totally different design from the one selected, and holes and seams that were unfinished. The owner pretended like they were fine and we were imagining things, even though we had pictures of the original dress. The bridesmaids spent between 50 and 250 dollars to fix the dresses. This might be an okay place to get a wedding dress, but send your bridesmaids somewhere else.

The WORST service I have ever experienced. When I walked into the store the lady told me I had cancelled my appointment, which I had not... and she proceeded to be very rude when I was trying on dresses and would not let me take a picture to send to my future mother-in-law in New York in order to include her in the day. At one point I was nearly in tears, and my dress buying experience was nothing like you see on TV. To make matters worse, I found a dress I loved and it was listed as $599 on the tag. She told me it was listed on a sister website for $400 and I thought I was getting a pretty good deal. When I got home, I saw my exact dress and size listed on her Facebook page under clearance dresses for $199. I looked over the page and she referenced that I needed to reference that I saw it on there to get it for that price. Then my mom went to pay for my dress and she said if we paid with a credit card we had to pay an additional 3% for the fee, which is ILLEGAL!!!!! Don t shop here you will get cheated! I am definitely not going to get my alterations done by her and turning her into the better business bureau for being unlawful. I wouldn t send my worst enemy to her as her personal appearance is very unprofessional, she used profanity during our appointment and at one point ditched me for a walk in that tried on about 10 dresses and bought none. Every dress she picked out for me to try on was listed under her clearance site and she told me each of those dresses were much more than she has them listed for, like $200-$300. I also wanted to look at some bridesmaid dresses and she very rudely told me to wrap it up because she had another appointment coming in, when she had left me during my appointment for a walk in. I stood in the dressing room nearly in tears and seriously contemplating even buying the dress, but thought, well she is trying to make up for it by taking the price down $200, when really she was upping the price $200 without me even knowing. If I didn t need to buy the dress off the rack because of my short engagement I would have instantly walked out the door. I sincerely regret my purchase and giving business to such a dishonest person. It has really ruined my whole wedding dress experience and I am deeply upset.
