Hmmm...no banana splits!! What. Well is real good ice cream anyway. Oddball flavors, kinda, and not much of standard. But those are interesting. Not for us however.There are better ice cream store options.

While visiting, I stopped by here on the advice of a native. They said it was probably the best ice cream shop in Lincoln, and I'd agree! I had the Almond Brittle & Salted Ganache (mainly because of the name), and it lived up to the hype. The staff was kind, helpful, and made sure my first 402 Creamery experience was grand! If you have the chance, stop by and give them a try!

This place is very popular and I can see why! The line moves quickly and they have some great funky flavors. Their homemade waffle cones were one of my favorite parts!!! It's small, but mighty. They have a few tables inside and some benches outside.

Small batch. Super premium. Homemade ice cream. That is what their website says. Yes, yes, and yes. Hands down some of the best ice cream I've ever had. I'm visiting from Arizona and I felt like having some ice cream, I don't eat ice cream all the time so when I do I want it to be a treat. I looked up places for ice cream nearby. This place has really great reviews on google. I can see why. The ice cream is super creamy with really yummy flavor combinations. There is a signature flavor menu with many the classic flavors you'd expect. And then there is the seasonal menu. I chose one flavor from each. I got a "split" scoop which is 2 smaller scoops vs a double is 2 full size scoops. I opted for the June special- hip hip brulee (Vanilla bean ice cream with a mixed berry swirl & Nilla wafer crunch! Topped with brûléed sugar dust) and it was even tastier than it sounds. My second flavor is the monster cookie (Peanut butter ice cream with oatmeal cookie dough, M&M's, & milk chocolate chips)Easy 5 stars to give!

I love having this ice cream spot in southeast Lincoln! 402 has some of the best flavors and I love the smaller sugar cones. We went on a steadily busy Sunday evening, lots of families enjoying a cold treat. The staff was friendly and moved the line quickly. I enjoyed the mint chocolate chip this visit! Will definitely be back often!

Awesome spot for ice cream. Creative flavors and high quality. Love this place and really want to try more of their flavors. Great for kids, date night, pints to go, any and all! Friendly service and just a great spot for all. I really want to try their Cinnamon Roll and Chili flavor.....

Very good ice cream. I went hear twice. The first time everyone was friendly. It was early afternoon and there were only 3 customers. I had funnel of love, just one scoop. It was very good. I then took my in-laws there the next day, in the evening. It was crowded. The line was out the door by the time we left. This time I had two scoops, one of the funnel of love, and one of the caramel carnival. Both were delicious. The place was very clean. I do think it's a little pricey which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I think I spent $17 for three adults. If you have a lot of kids or a big group expect to spend a lot of money. Important to know is that they have a limited number of flavors, so you might not see the typical ice cream flavors. That being said the caramel carnival which I belobe had the cornflakes in it was very good.

Got this place as a suggestion from my brother-in law. Simple inside and out, but a flavor for days! Enjoyed the snickerdoodle and the monster cookie! Both were delicious and creamy! Great local spot to try anywhere in Lincoln, Nebraska!

How is this ice cream so good? Such a cute location too. Don't be intimidated if you see a line out the door, they are a well oiled machine and get you through quick!

This happened to be our second visit and second time to Lincoln and the 402 creamery, but this time just outside of the downtown area. Ice cream is just as good, if not better then the other location as they have different varieties coming in and out. We tried the cinnamon snickerdoodle, monster cookie, and a strawberry shake which were all excellent. Hand made ice cream takes on a different texture than the mass produced version and has almost a chewy, stringy consistency along with large pieces of cookies or other ingredients which I really like. The monster cookie was a madman creation with cookie dough, M&M's, and one or two other delicious items included that I can't name off the top of my head. Highly recommend stopping in if your in town.
