1867 Bar

Pretty good spot for the night. This location has been a few different places before 1867 and I hope this one stays. Entering through a smoking section (A night of music was in the other room) reminds me that college kids think smoking is still cool. Bless their little hearts. We came upon the doorman which is standard and presented IDs and I went right to the bar to look at the beer selection. Pretty decent list including Ploughshare, Zipline, NBC, and a host of other local beers. I appreciated the selections. Also the required PBR tallboys and the like. The staff was attentive and it got crowded for a bit, but service didn't drop. I liked the N64 and The NES setups on the side of the lounge area. A bit of Perfect Dark Zero and Super Mario 3 worked great. I enjoyed playing as Green Mario.The event going on was a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood. It was worth the $5 cover and the music rocked. All in all, it was a great bar and I am glad to have tried it out despite another's bad experience. I was reminded of how naive the college crowd was, but again, I was there to imbibe myself. #nohate was a theme for the night. I will most certainly go back

Delicious local beers and liquors! Bartenders are very knowledgeable about what all they have and what you would like. Plenty of games - did I mention they have pinball??!!!!!!

It smelled like a sweaty mildewed locker room at this bar. It was seriously so gross that we left before even ordering anything. They need to figure it out.

I revieved terrible service when I attended this bar.i was treated with disrespect and ended up leaving before even being able to order a drink. I attended this bar on a Saturday and ended up leaving a review a few days later on their Facebook page..since leaving that review I have been TOLD that I did not attend 1867 and was in fact at a different bar with a group of people... I attended by myself and was definitely at 1867... I have been cyber bullied on their Facebook page and grouped with other people who left negative reviews. I have also been harassed at my job by friends of the owner to remove my review and even had one person try to bribe me to remove my review from their Facebook page. The owner also accused me of not being at their bar and Facebook messaged me telling me that I was not at their bar and that I should remove my review. So not only did I have a terrible experience at the bar after leaving my review I was harassed and bullied about the honest review that I had left. I would never recommend anyone to attend this establishment after how I was treat.

Absolutely the worst bar in the country point blank. Staff drink on the patron side of the bar and were rude to everyone. They ran off every customer that came through the door, on a Saturday night in a college town? Place was filthy but without the dive bar vibe. Keep walking on down.

Excellent selection, primarily of local and US beverages! Great atmosphere and always a positive experience.

This is my favorite bar to go to with friends where we can enjoy good local beers and a great atmosphere. I love the staff who are super friendly and play the most amazing music. The bartender is hands down the nicest and most honest person I've ever met! Great place to start or end your night.

Love the great selection of local beers and spirits. Probably one of the best in the state. Only drawback is you have to walk thru the stinky gauntlet of smokers to enter and exit the bar. Its semi open so the whole bar has a stench to it.

Sorry, this bar has some great beers, but the ladies bathroom stool had gross black stuff stuck to the sides of the stool. Plus they allow dogs INSIDE the bar area, actually sitting, and walking across the bar stools where people sit. Isn't that a health violation?

Specializing in NE Made Beers, Spirits, & Bands!In a SEPARATE ROOM from the main bar, the med/small sized LIVE MUSIC listening space is maybe the best in Lincoln because of its comfortable square shape. This space has its own small bar, and when there is a cover charge for the band, it is only required when leaving the main bar to listen to the band in the music room. The main bar area is also "sound insulated" from their music room. Uniquely, this bar also features another space for "yard style games"(corn hole, etc), then also easy chairs in an area for home video games. And YES, dogs are allowed on (some or all?) nights, but I've never seen poor behavior exhibited by the always leashed pets who just sit on the floor beside their owners. This is the most cleverly proportioned bar space downtown, offering a wide variety of experiences to patrons, giving special attention to all of the other things happening in Nebraska (besides football), artisan beers, bands and an interesting variety of people. This place is definitely worth your visit.
