The churros were very tasty. They had Bavarian and caramel."

"Came here for dinner with some friends my fiance and brother after suddenly changing plans to get Mexican instead of classic American.The chips and Salsa they brought at the beginning was so fresh! I really love that Salsa and it was hard to stop myself from reaching for that bowl over an over.I ordered the Fish and Shrimp tacos, but with only the grilled Mahi Mahi. I loved the fish by itself and that pineapple mango pico de gallo on top was really good too. I wasn't too big a fan of the whole taco as a whole though. The tortilla probably put things off for me.I also opted for some vegetables and mix of guacamole and some extra salsas on the side instead of the rice and beans that came with.I tried the beans from my fiance's bowl and they were actually really good.Fiancé got the Pastor tacos and those were freaking amazing! Perfectly cooked meat and everything went amazing together. Tortillas were definitely great there.My brother got the Mole Enchiladas and really loved them. That depth of flavor actually came through. Not pretty to look at but very good to eat!The rest of the table got some fajitas and carne asada and everyone enjoyed their food.There was also some Passionfruit Margarita and Strawberry Margarita ordered. I tried the strawberry and the flavor was really good as well. Not too strong and I could have totally sipped on it all myself. Cut off a point because I felt sick after going home and actually threw up too."

"We visited El Vallarta with a few friends on the way to see a movie at the Alamo in La Vista, and we were pleasantly surprised! El Vallarta is located right in the heart of La Vista city center. It is sort of in a little bit of a "strip mall" situation, but it does have it's own little architecture design on the outside, and the inside is gorgeous!It has super cool decor and art all over, with black and white patterned tiles and pops of color in the red lighting and teal touches.The interior is quite large with lots of seating, including several booths and tables on one side, and a really cool bar with seating, as well as more booths on the other side.When you arrive, you immediately get friendly service while you're seated and get some complimentary chips and salsa at the table. The salsa is great, and we ordered the queso cheese dip to go along with it too - I definitely recommend the queso! It was a melted white cheese that was extra gooey and tasty.My husband and I both had version of the enchilada plates. I had the Enchiladas Verdes - which were SO GOOD! It came with three little chicken enchiladas topped with guacamole, green salsa, and sour cream. The dish came with rice and beans, which were also fantastic tasting on their own, not just thrown on the side, which you can see at a few other Mexican places. The rest of us all got enchilada and burrito platters that all looked very similar in appearance (but with different proteins), so I didn't photograph each plate, but trust me that they were all delicious :-)We were a little worried there wouldn't be a ton of options for our vegetarian friend who was with us, but to our happy surprise, they had an entire vegetarian menu for her to choose from! I definitely recommend a stop at El Vallarta. They have a huge menu with lots of options, great staff, and a welcoming atmosphere."

"First time at Voodoo Taco. The girl at the register was very helpful and willing to answer questions and give suggestions. I decided on the Barbacoa nachos without the BBQ sauce. I'm so happy I kept that off because it would have given me BBQ beef vibes. The nachos were so so so good. Queso was awesome and so were the chips, loved the beef. The girl working offered us 2 different salsas- habanero and regular. Also a southwest ranch. All 3 were a great addition to my nachos. My husband got a brisket burrito which he also enjoyed. Just make sure you read exactly what is on these menu items because they can be taken off. Lately I have been disappointed going to new places, but I will be coming back here. I really enjoyed my meal!"

"Another Omaha staple restaurant when I come to visit from California. For a Tuesday, this place was super busy. Shared parking lot with many establishments in the shopping area. It was also happy hour 3-6 Monday through Thursday. Chips and salsa are standard. Beef burrito, taco plate and chicken taquitos were ordered, along with margaritas but no photos of that because we were hangry!! Guacamole and flour tortillas were ordered for the baby. "We've been to Copal a few times now, and enjoyed it quite a bit each visit. The location that the restaurant is in has changed proprietors many times over the years, but Copal seem to be pretty popular so I don't think it's in danger of suffering the same fate.The decor is very colorful and bright, while the ambiance is super lively and always bustling. The service has been a little hit or miss over the times we've been there, with how busy they get during their daily specials and happy hour times. We did have one great waiter though, named Carlos G, who was very attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant, even when we were there on one of the aforementioned busy nights. The most important part now - the food!Starting with the starters (lol) our favorites we've had are the Queso Fundido (super gooey cheese with little bread bites for dipping) and the rolled chicken taquitos (which come with three dips!)And the main dishes we've enjoyed are:Birria tacos - A roast beef protein, with sour cream topping and a side of beef broth for dipping. These come with a LOT of meat in each taco. It was a little bit too much for me, actually, but my husband was happy to eat the meat I took out of my tacos to lighten them up.Chorizo tacos - These are filled with a delicious and super well-seasoned chorizo mixture atop a tasty slaw base, and then all topped with - wait for it - french fries! That might sound weird but my husband said the fries were actually pretty delightful themselves. This also comes with a side of rice and beans, which the Birria Tacos do not for some reason, so just be aware of that.Huarache - This is mouthwateringly flavorful. It's a corn base with beans, salsa, beef (but you get your choice of protein) and is topped with queso, sour cream, and avocado slices. It is just so many of my favorite things all rolled into one dish. It also comes with a yummy little salad on the side too!Steak Fajitas - My husband loves fajitas and he said these were some of the best he's tried. Perfectly cooked steak strips covered in a slaw of peppers and onions. The dish comes with beans and rice in a little dish on the side also. (We haven't tried any desserts yet, because we've always been too full after our meals to stuff anything in there, but we will have to save room and try them next time and report back!)All in all, I would definitely recommend giving Copal a try if you're in Northwest Omaha and looking for some pretty authentic Mexican options."

I had the shrimp fajitas that were cooked perfectly..plump and juicy..bursting with spicy flavor with sautéed peppers and onions ! They closed at 8:30 but did not rush us out...nobody started sweeping or putting chairs up...they let us enjoy our time. Thank you for such great service! We will be back"

There's also endless sushi and other dish options. Full bar but my favorite here are the Cantaritos--tangy with a chamoy Tajin rim. A large restaurant means no waiting for a table and the servers are always attentive."

"I haven't tried all the Mexican food in Lincoln, but this place is the best I've found. We've only gotten takeout so I can't speak to "service" but they're very quick and my order is always on-point and incredible value for cost... easily worth 15% more. We usually get two sets of the cinco tacos and two sides of beans and rice. That's enough for me, my wife and our 3-year-old son. It's in a rough part of Lincoln, with limited parking and seating, so I don't necessarily recommend dining in, but the food is premier!"

"Burrito Envy became a favorite takeout spot for us during the pandemic. We have yet to dine in house, but the burritos and margaritas we have carried back home with us or enjoyed in a park have all been very good. I particularly enjoy the passion fruit margarita, and being an herbivore, I tend to get the mixed veggies burrito unless the current special is veggie friendly. I guess one drawback wpuld be that they have lots of options on the menu, but not a ton for vegetarians. Good thing I enjoy the one main offering. Once we we were seated the waitress got a car seat holder for the baby ready (didn't even ask she was on it!) and made sure the game we were talking about while walking in was playing for us. "We bought a juicy flavorful whole chicken which came with rice, delicious beans, tortillas and salsa. The whole meal was $26. What a great deal for a delicious meal. The customer service was great and my husband was in and out of there within 10 minutes. I would show a picture but he got home, the food was hot and we tore it up. I had lost all hope for finding delicious rotisserie chicken outside of Costco or Sam's Club, so we're happy we found this place. Thank you El Pollo Tote."

"I loved this place. While I did not have any margaritas I was very impressed with the food. I got the Pollo Fundido and was impressed. The chorizo was fantastic great flavor while not heavy on the cinnamon. The chicken was very well seasoned and crispy yet juicy. The Al pastor was also amazing. I read some of the reviews after already eating here and I don't think some people know what authentic Mexican is and maybe need to stick to taco bell. This is the real deal. The staff were all super friendly and very welcoming. Next time I visit Omaha this will for sure by a stop."

"Five stars all around the food was amazing some of the best Mexican food I have had in a long time. I got the marinated chicken over chilaquiles and it was delicious and spicy. I personally love hot sauce and my dish was so spicy that I did not need extra sauce which is a rare thing for me. So if you like heat it is a must try. My husband had the marinated pork burrito and he ate the whole thing with a little bite for me!! We will definitely be back. The restaurant is very small with only two tables and a little bit of counter seating. We did opt to eat there which was fine for us since there were only two of us. The men working at the restaurant were very nice. We mentioned it was our first time and he really walked us through the options and made great suggestions!"

"I was finally able to sneak into this hidden gem here near downtown Lincoln! First of all, the owner Nick is really cool to talk to! Very down to earth people here as expected, with great service. The inside decor is really cool and vibrant on entrance! The outside front looks cool too! Well, getting down to the food and drink now... I ordered the Brisket Breakfast Burrito with Avocado crema sauce inside! Awesome mouth-watering best brisket Burrito I have ever tasted yet!!! I love their red and green salsas, which I had on the side. The lovely lady at the counter made me an iced Golden Graham latté. Such a wonderfully made coffee drink! Love all about this place. "I went here a few days ago with my brother. It reminded me of real authentic Mexican food back home in California! The service here was outstanding. Different workers were coming by our table often, checking to see what we needed or to clear of what we didn't need any longer. We started out with drinks and appetizers. I had a Dr. Pepper and water. Refills were never a problem and did not have to wait long when requested. They gave us free chips and salsa, along with three dips, which included regular salsa, spicy salsa, and bean deep. We even got refills on this. Also got a clam order, I tried one and definitely was a unique taste. My brother liked it more. For the main plate, I ordered the enchilada molé, beans, and rice. I loved all the flavors. My brother had Carne asada fajitas, beans, and rice. We both tried each other's plates and enjoyed them equally! The restaurant had a nice modern day decor and we did not feel rushed as we stayed a while to enjoy each other's company. We had plenty of food to go. It was so good, that about an hour after we got to my brother's, we finished our leftovers!!! Delicioso!!! The highest marks for this restaurant and we will be back in the near future when I can return!!! Gracias por todos Mi Tierra!"

"We arrived at Hector's a bit late in the evening, 8:40 PM , and they close at 9 PM. So they were understandably a bit rushed and distracted with service however that is to be expected. The food was average, but not great. Definitely not as good as we remembered it to be a few years prior. We do love the salsa bar which really helps you individualize your food to your specific preferences. Overall, I recommend hectors before the average taco connoisseur but if you're looking for something and higher end, I would probably choose another restaurant."

"This place is a gem. It's tucked away and doesn't look like much from the inside or outside, but don't let that fool you. A restaurant's main purpose, of course, is the food. Here, La Carreta Rosa exceeds the standard. I would eat here quite often if I actually lived in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, the portions were large, and the experience was highly satisfying. I'll be back to La Carreta Rosa."
