Greek coffee isn't your average coffee. Typical American brewed coffee is strained through a filter, but Greek coffee is made with the grounds inside. The grounds will set at the bottom allowing you to drink the delicious contents. Just don't drink the grounds!

I cannot say enough good comments about the depth of the menu, flavor and service here!The 20 minute drive to experience this restaurant is very satisfying and here why.Service:5/5Depth of menu:5/5Flavor:5/5Accommodation for groups:4/5-get here before the lunch rush.Parking: limited The place is hard to miss beIf was going to recommend a must item, cheese appetizer!The sauces are homemade, the desserts, and the entrees are made to order.I can give a detailed summary of my experience here.My go to dish is the chicken kabob plate has Smoked chicken flavor with enough rice, salad and pita bread to fill you up.My wife gets the salmon plate, it is delicious!The desserts are made from scratch here and delicious!Parking can be sparse here so get here early or be prepared to use ankle express.

Came with a couple friends on a Friday afternoon with no wait. Their patio seating was cute and breezy in the hot weather, and our server was attentive & kind. I ordered the Chicken Kabob Salad and it was the perfect amount. The chicken was tender and tasted great with the salad - would recommend for anyone looking for something light / not too heavy.My friends ordered the chicken kabob pita sandwich and gyro & chicken kabob sandwich, and both enjoyed their dishes as well. Would definitely come back for Greek food in the future!

Is the food better since Olympic Cafe moved to classier digs in 2017? Probably not, but it seems so.In the old days, the standards - gyros, kabobs and the like, foods you can find anywhere - were my go to items. Now I think the best things on the menu are those that are harder to find elsewhere in San Diego. Olympic Cafe has floored me with Pork Souvlaki... Pastitsio... Yemista, and I'm not even vegan, for God's sake. I'll stack up any of these "Specialties", these home-cooked, saucy, oven-baked pans of love, against any "Platter" you choose, and I'll win, every time.

I was craving Mediterranean food and this place had really good reviews. My friends both got the gyro plates and I ordered three sides. We got the app Saganaki and it was really good. It tasted like a cheez it, but it was really good with the pita bread. We sat outside and the breeze was lovely. I really wished the rice had more flavor. The chicken kebab was delicious and the roasted potatoes had a lovely lemon herb glaze almost sauce consistency to it. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

Oh wow was this place good! Really small parking lot but outside smells so incredibly good it just pulls you inside! They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, very beautiful and romantic ambiance. The menu is very large they have every Greek item you could think of and they even had other items like spaghetti, ribs, and much more. Food was phenomenal! The saganaki was amazing and the calamari was cooked to perfection. The salad was probably the best Greek salad I've ever had. The dressing was perfect and I love the amount of feta cheese on it. The shrimp was excellent and went really well with all of the fresh ingredients. I can't wait to come back to try more of the menu. Service was fantastic and so friendly as well! Definitely check this place out!

Always excellent service, this is the best Greek place in San Diego! My favorite red it the Naoussa, and I highly recommend their combination platters! If you want a nice Greek appetizer, go for the flaming saganaki! Ooopaa! Please share a galaktoburiko or a cheesecake! They are to die for! Excellent patio or indoor rooms, your choice!

We found this spot a few years ago and was very excited to enjoy Gyros again. Today I ordered my usual for a pickup. I was a little disappointed when I tried to phone in my order because I was on hold for 3 minutes until I finally just hung up. When I placed my orders at the restaurant, I explained to the waitress the problem with being on hold for three minutes, but she didn't show any concern. I have had problems before calling in orders, so I hope the get better with this. I love the food and overall, the customer service is good they just need to get better with phone orders2024(12)

As a San Diegan I've done myself and any friends who have ever visited me a disservice by not coming here sooner. From the ambiance to the food to the entire staff its is perfection. Whether you are looking for a small plate or an entire entree there is an incredible wide range of Greek dishes. Incredibly delicious food all while not breaking the budget. Dinner for one, date night, or bring the whole family it's perfect for everyone. Family run restaurants like this are few and far I'm between so do yourself a favor and stop on by.
