My family has been coming here for decades. We've found this to be a staple and local favorite with its long history in Lynn. From their soft bread to their salad and pasta, we're often happy with our experience. Recently, we catered for a large family gathering and were very satisfied with the quality of the food. Some of our favorites were the chicken cacciatore, chicken broccoli ziti, and chicken Marsala. Service is often personal and professional. It's a casual and easy place to keep returning.

Old Tyme has been recommended to me by multiple people. I was finally in the area and decided to give it a try. I had the veal and eggplant parm combo. It was ok. The price and portion is very good. The veal was good and the eggplant was tender. The sauce isnt my favorite. Its thinner and runnier than I prefer. The meatballs are okay. Everything was underwhelming and just okay. The outside is weird - theres no obvious main door and the lit up "open" sign is actually above the door you shouldnt go in! The outside lights are motion sensor so if no one comes in or out, the outside goes dark. Its weird. Also they need background music or something as a sound buffer. People speaking loudly or kids and loud chopping from the kitchen will be all you hear.

Old Tyme is just that--old-timey. It's an older restaurant, with a dated interior and exterior and a tiny parking lot. You know it's probably been around forever. But the food is tasty and the service is great. The staff is so friendly.Like the name suggests, it's an old-school Italian-American restaurant. I did not want to go, but my father had been wanting to try it, and it was his birthday, and he was paying, so I went. He loved it, which is the important thing, and I really enjoyed it. The wine list isn't super unique, but there are many options, and I went with the Rodney Strong chardonnay. I don't love chardonnay, but I like the Rodney Strong brand, so I was happy. And they have two of my favorite items on the menu--tortellini soup and chicken broccoli ziti with a garlic olive oil sauce. Both hit the spot and there was plenty for leftovers. My dad had fried calamari and pasta puttanesca. The fried calamari was awful. Overcooked and tasteless. But he loved his pasta. My stepmom was unimpressed with her spinach ravioli with alfredo sauce, but I think she just ordered wrong. The bread was good, though it should have been warmed first.I'd go back again, or do takeout when I'm craving pasta.

We were visiting friends so we took out antipasto chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana. The food was fantastic, large portions, fresh ingredients and great taste. Everyone enjoyed the food and enough for another meal or 2.

Food was excellent with almost any Italian dish you could want Restaurant was by no means cozy and even though it wasn't busy , it was awfully loud there. Btw , they also don't have draft beer.

The food is terrific and top notch. They have an extensive menu. The portions are huge! The martini was like two drinks. The service was fantastic! The customers are treated like family. A must place to try when near Lynn. You'll want to come back.

DO done here on a lot ng weekend, almost no patrons, newly renovated interior and classic affordable ( red) wine ( mine was medium bodied lol). Stellar cuisine ( eggplant Parm and steak tips with classic veggies), friendly unobtrusive service, and INCREDIBLE tiramisu. A smart choice would also be to try a couple of appetizers with a fine wine.
